The neon lights of the club flickered with intensity, casting an array of colors across the dark, pulsating dance floor.

The heavy bass of the music vibrated through the ground, sending waves of energy that swept the crowd into a frenzy. The air was thick with the sll of perfu, sweat, and alcohol, while the flashing lights painted a surreal picture of movent and sound. People, dressed to impress, swayed to the rhythm of the night, their bodies moving with abandon. So laughed, so shouted over the din, while others simply danced, letting their worries go as the night unfolded.

Mikey sat at the edge of the bar, nursing a martini. He maintained his composure whilst still, keeping his eyes locked on the center of the dance floor- where Angela moved with effortless grace.

Her body swayed to the beat of the music, every step, every motion, a display of freedom and confidence. Her hands raised above her head, as her hips moved side to side, her shape accentuated by the strobe lights.

She was breathtaking, the kind of woman any guy would refer to as a dream, and even Mikey couldn’t take his eyes off her.

As she danced, she turned over to him, her eyes eting his as her lips curled into a smile, a soft, inviting grin.

Mikey, still sitting, felt his heart race, his body frozen in place. His mind scread at him to do sothing—anything— which would lead towards him completing the mission .

Her smile was infectious. Mikey, almost instinctively, raised his glass, taking a slow sip of his martini, as if to calm his nerves.

But inside, his thoughts were swirling.

’Damn... this place is loud.’

The music was loud, too loud, drowning out his inner voice, but the temptation to join her was undeniable.

Then, as if sensing his hesitation, she broke the distance between them, her body moving smoothly across the floor. She approached him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. Her smile never wavered, and the closer she got, the more Mikey felt the heat rising in his chest. Upon getting to him, she tilted forward towards Mikey’s ear.

"Co on!" she called out above the music, her voice strong yet sweet.

"Co have a dance with !"

Mikey, his composure faltering, pulled his head back with a soft chuckle. He shook his head, his voice low but clear.

"I’m sorry, I’m not much of a dancer."

But Angela wasn’t having it. Her persistence was unwavering. She crossed her arms and cocked her head, her eyes narrowing in playful challenge.

"I don’t know, Mikey." she shouted, her lips curling into a teasing grin.

"I think you’re more than capable."

Mikey still remained as stubborn as always, but before he could get another word out, Angela leaned in closer, her breath warm against his ear.

"Don’t leave hanging, Mikey. I can’t be the only one out there, can I?"

Her words lingered in his ear, warm and teasing, and for a mont, Mikey felt the pressure mounting. But he wasn’t the type to back down so easily.

"I don’t know how to dance," he murmured, his voice low. "What would you have do?"

She paused, her breath still brushing his ear, lips hovering with just a hint of amusent. Then, with a playful lilt, she whispered,

"If you dance with ... I’ll give you a, um... a surprise."

His brows lifted slightly. "A surprise?"

She nodded, pulling back just enough to et his gaze, her eyes glittering with mischief.

"Yes."

Inwardly, Mikey smirked, not just because he knew she had him where she wanted, but rather because he knew exactly what kind of surprise she had in store for him.

He took a deep breath, his fingers tightening around the glass in his hand.

"Okay." he muttered, a reluctant smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"I’ll give it a try."

Angela’s face lit up, and without waiting for another second, she grabbed his hand, pulling him from his seat.

"That’s the spirit!"

And just like that, Mikey found himself being dragged across the dance floor, the pounding beat of the music shaking the very ground beneath him. As they reached the center, Angela didn’t waste any ti. She imdiately began moving to the rhythm, her body flowing with the music in a way that made it seem as though she was born to dance.

Mikey, on the other hand, stood frozen for a mont, his feet rooted to the floor. He glanced around, and it didn’t take long for him to realize that everyone else was dancing—everyone but him. Angela caught his eye, and with a grin, she moved closer, her voice cutting through the music.

"Co on, Mikey. You can do it!"

Mikey sighed, the kind of sigh that said,

"Lord, take now."

He tried to follow her lead, but from the very first step, it was clear—his body wasn’t on board with this plan.

He swayed from side to side like a broken NPC in a video ga, arms stiff like he was waiting to be scanned at airport security. His feet? They moved like two different people were controlling them. One wanted to tango, the other wanted to tap out.

The beat dropped. Mikey dropped too—but not in a cool, "drop it low" kind of way. More like he lost his balance for a second and played it off like part of the routine. Spoiler: it wasn’t.

He tried a spin. Big mistake. He ended up facing the wrong direction, hands mid-air like he was directing traffic. Her laugh rang out behind him—part amused, part concerned.

"Well, this is... sothing." Angela teased, moving around him, twirling with grace as he continued his awkward shuffle.

Mikey groaned, wishing he could just lt into the floor and disappear. This was far from the cool, suave persona he liked to maintain.

He could feel the eyes of the crowd on him, and he was sure they were all silently judging his every move. But then, as he glanced up at Angela, he saw her smile, her eyes soft and full of warmth. She wasn’t laughing at him. She was enjoying this—enjoying him.

"Co on, Mikey." she said, her voice filled with encouragent.

"You’re doing fine. Just feel the music."

Mikey didn’t know if he was doing fine, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit lighter. He let go of his pride, allowing himself to get swept up in the mont. He didn’t care that he looked ridiculous. As long as she was happy, that was all that mattered.

As the night wore on, Mikey and Angela continued to dance. Mikey, though still awkward, began to enjoy himself.

The music pulsed through his veins, and for once, he wasn’t concerned with how he appeared to others. He was simply living in the mont, with Angela by his side, laughing and dancing with abandon.

Hours passed, the energy of the club never waning. At so point, the music began to slow, and Mikey and Angela found themselves slipping away from the crowd, the world outside quieter than it had been inside and soon, they were gone.

The streets were empty now, the nightlife dimming as the night deepened. Angela, her cheeks flushed from the drink and the dance, giggled softly as she walked beside Mikey. Her hand brushed against his, and without thinking, she slipped her fingers through his. They walked in comfortable silence, the soft click of their footsteps echoing in the quiet.

Angela looked up at Mikey, her eyes sparkling despite the haze of alcohol.

"Where did you learn to dance like that?" she asked with a teasing grin.

Mikey laughed softly, his eyes flickering to hers.

"I told you, I’m not a good dancer."

Angela shook her head, still grinning.

"No, no, you’re good. I’ve just never seen anyone dance like that."

Mikey raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk crossing his face.

"Make a fool of myself, you an?"

She laughed again, her voice light and carefree.

"Not that! I an, dance like that... I an, dance so care free. It...It takes alot for a guy to do what....okay, yeah, you did make a fool of yourself." She muttered as another muffled chuckle escaped her lips, along with Mikey’s.

"But honestly ....I kinda liked it." She added.

Their conversations went on as they moved, their hands intertwined, with nothing halting their connection the slightest.

Angela’s smile softened, her gaze flickering down. Mikey paused beside a row of apartnts, his heart racing for reasons he couldn’t quite understand. Angela stopped too, her eyes still fixed on the ground, but the playful grin on her lips remained.

"This is ," she said softly, gesturing to one of the several appartnt buildings.

Mikey nodded, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Ohh...uhh...well...I had a great ti tonight, Angela."

Angela’s smile mirrored his as she returned her gaze to his.

"I had a great ti too."

Mikey’s voice softened as he stepped closer to her.

"Maybe next ti, I’ll take you sowhere more fun."

Angela’s eyes flickered up to et his, and she nodded, her lips curling into a smile.

"I’d like that."

And with that, after a brief pause, Mikey leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.

"Goodnight." he murmured, his voice low and gentle.

And with that said, he turned to leave, but- as Mikey turned to leave, he felt sothing warm tug at his hand, gently holding him back. He turned back, finding Angela still holding on, her eyes a little hazy, but her smile still bright.

"I have so coffee inside..." she muttered, her voice soft and inviting.

" I think you should co up and uhh...have so."

Mikey didn’t need any explanation. He knew exactly what she ant she ant by coffee.
