Altair returned to his dorm, sweat dripping down his face. He’d run laps around the Dorm grounds and done bodyweight exercises in House Daeryion training courtyard.
The system had tracked it all.

He wiped his face with a towel and sat down cross-legged on his bed.
He had a ton of questions now, and it was ti to search for answers.
First priority: who set him up for the abduction?
The pri suspect remained Master Oz, but he needed to investigate to find out more. Suspicion alone wasn’t enough. He needed proof.
He opened his system, navigating to his summons tab. Three nas glowed in his vision: Delilah, Heracles, and King Arthur. He expanded Delilah’s tab to see her full details.

Altair studied the template carefully.
She looked the most equipped for covert missions. Her abilities and skillset were perfect for such a task. Stealth, Teleportation, Manipulation, Information gathering.
This was exactly what he needed.
He placed his hand on Delilah’s summoning seal, channelling his mana into the seal.
"Co, Delilah."
A purple magic circle ford on the ground of his dorm, intricate patterns weaving themselves into existence. Particles of glowing purplish light coalesced, gathering form and substance to create a female silhouette.
Delilah appeared.
She stood at five-foot-five, with long wavy black hair that cascaded over her shoulders. Several pieces of jewelry adorned her wrists and neck, glinting in the morning light. She wore a black, skin-tight gown with a slit on the left thigh, and the back was completely exposed.
She stretched languidly, like a cat waking from a nap, then turned her gaze on him.
"Finally you summon , have missed , darling?" she said, leaning into him with a sly grin.

"Tch. Not in the way you think." The look on Altair’s face had changed, hardening against the subtle pull of her ability.
Delilah tilted her head, studying him. "In such a short while, you’ve changed quite a lot. Hmm, I’m starting to like the new you."
"Right." Altair turned from her, walking to ensure the door was properly locked, or maybe it was just an excuse to distance himself from her. "And you can stop with all of that. It’s not working."
"This new you is no fun," she retorted, breaking the spell with a theatrical sigh.
"So, why have you summoned ?" Delilah asked, her tone shifting to sothing more professional.
"It’s about my abduction. And the encounter with the herald."
"Ghrangoroth, ###?¿###" Delilah swore in a language Altair couldn’t understand, then spat on the ground. The venom in her voice was palpable.
"Heh. You must really hate them, huh?" He paused, then continued. "I’m convinced he didn’t find like he claid. Soone gave away, soone who secretly knows about the Codex and is trying to take it."
He turned, leaning against the door. "I have a pri suspect."
"Who?" Delilah asked.
"Master Oz, he ticks all the boxes. He’s seen summon the Codex. Watched call forth Heracles. And he took a specific interest in after witnessing the latter."
Delilah’s eyes narrowed. "You think he’s working with the heralds?"
"I don’t know yet. That’s why I need you."
Altair straightened, his tone becoming more direct. "My investigation starts with him, and for that tasks I’ll need your help." He paused, waiting to confirm if they were on the sa page.
"What do I need to do?" Delilah asked.
"Okay so, I need you to find his office and his ho. And search both places for anything related to the Codex, the Watchers, or those hieroglyphs. Gather as much information as you can and report back."
He looked at her with seriousness. "But under no circumstances should you engage him directly."
Delilah raised an eyebrow. "You think I can’t handle him?"
"Other than the fact that I think he’s very dangerous, I don’t want him knowing more about than I do of him, the lesser heroes he sees, the better for us." Satoshi’s battle instincts had kicked in, he was already thinking about, future possibilities, risk ratios, and the power of knowledge on a larger scale.
She smiled, impressed. "Look at you, actually thinking strategically."
"If you find nothing in twenty-four hours, return to ," Altair continued. "Or I’ll recall you with the summoning seal."
Delilah’s smile turned mischievous, as if she’d been caught planning to explore beyond her mission paraters.
"Yes, o’ great master," she said, giving a theatrical bow.
"So, great master," she leaned in close, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Any good luck kiss?"
Altair looked away in a chuckle. "Maybe when you’re successful."
She giggled, the sound low and teasing. "I’ll hold you to that, master."
Her form began to fade, shimring out of existence as her concealnt ability activated. Within seconds, she was gone without a sound. Every trace of her had seemingly vanished.
But Altair could tell. Her presence had left the room.
"What a wild one," he thought, imdiately discarding the thought of her last words.
He picked up his phone from the nightstand and noticed a new notification.
An announcent from the school authorities.

MANDATORY ASSEMBLY
All students of Gran-Lusia Academy are required to attend a general eting at 10:00 AM tomorrow.
Venue: Grand Hall
Attendance is compulsory.
---
Altair read through the ssage carefully. This was unusual, yhe Academy didn’t call mandatory assemblies unless sothing serious had happened.
He guessed it was probably the incident in the summoning plane.
He opened his ssaging app and sent the sa text to both Svenja and Ryka.
"eting after the eting."
He hit send and set the phone down. Anticipating his activities for the next day.
But at the mont, Delilah was out there, searching for answers. And all he could do was wait, not idly however .
Altair propped up the system intervace, the previous ssage still hovering in his vision.
Next up: mana circulation practice.
He closed his eyes and focused inward, feeling the flow of energy through his body. It was different from the spiritual energy he’d cultivated as Satoshi Ono, but the principles were similar, making it easier to adapt.
Breathe in, draw mana from the your core, guide it through the pathways in his body, let it settle back in his core.
Thirty minutes passed in focused silence.
