Lloyd was thoughtful, while looking at the girl.

The truth was he felt quite curious about that mystery.

"Well, there’s also another reason you didn’t die before. Haven’t you realized yet? As smart as you are you should," the woman asked with an amused tone.

The boy was perplexed. Had everything been solved already?

No.

There were still unanswered things, like why Lucia’s thoughts didn’t give her away, though at the sa ti it wasn’t sothing so relevant.

But also, there was sothing telling him there was sothing more, that it was impossible for the Lucia he knew to be the assassin.

But then, what had happened?

"Hypnosis," Lloyd finally said.

Lucia smiled upon hearing that word.

"Exactly, hypnosis; my useless magic that made the perfect assassin," she said. "I use hypnosis to make it impossible to detect my malice or intentions. I beco a completely different person by day. However, every ti I receive a letter with the indicated seal, I return to my initial state, and kill freely."

A crooked smile ford on Lucia’s face, as if she were savoring the pain she caused her victims.

"Mmm, so you were the one who killed the mages at the tower," Lloyd deduced.

What Sebastian had told him now fit perfectly; the boy rembered that Lucia herself had spoken to him about that.

Though it also ant that the Lucia he knew was completely oblivious to what the real one did.

"Yes, yes, exactly. That was so fun, I enjoyed it so much! Hahaha, I still rember seeing the confused face of one of those useless ones, the idiot was in love with ! It was so funny," the woman laughed eerily while reminiscing about the murder. "It’s so fabulous. At first the idea of killing like this didn’t amuse , but, in practice it’s the best thing in the world! Every ti I wake up I can make a massacre, and when the sun rises again, I fall asleep, skipping the boring parts of my life."

Lloyd couldn’t help but feel sowhat uncomfortable; he was before a psychopath with a capital P.

"But well," the air suddenly felt denser. "It really was entertaining to hear your story, but there’s no ti to waste. Did you really think knowing everything would change anything? Damn idiot, I’m going to kill you!"

Lloyd’s body began to tremble for no reason, his legs gave way; fear was beginning to take hold of him.

"You were too stupid," the woman exclaid while testing the blade of her dagger with her tongue. "Even knowing who I was, you decided to separate yourself from the only one with enough combat capability to defend you, and only prepared this stupid trap."

Lloyd felt his heart beating too fast, his chest burned, and he was starting to hyperventilate; he had never felt such intense fear before.

"You should have hidden when you had the chance. Now... let enjoy your death," the woman said with a sadistic expression on her face.

Lucia’s disturbing gaze intensified.

She calmly approached the boy, who was on his knees on the floor, trembling with fear.

Small tears fell from his eyes.

It wasn’t a pleasant sensation; fear had paralyzed him.

The woman practically got on top of him, she was close; too close.

She gently caressed the boy’s hair, while passing her knife across his cheek.

It was a simple graze, a small harmless cut.

His tears mixed with the blood falling from his cheek; and then, she licked the wound.

Slowly, unhurried, like soone savoring a good al.

The boy couldn’t stop trembling; she was playing with him, like a cat plays with a mouse.

"You’re so cute, my little detective," the woman spoke with a sweet and affectionate voice, which greatly dissociated with her actions. "I’m going to kill you slowly, okay?" the boy couldn’t respond, he felt the tip of the knife slowly digging into his neck. "We’ll play all night."

Was this his end? Lloyd felt he was going to faint; the fear was too present, it had engraved itself in his body preventing him from moving.

"Y-y," the boy could barely stamr a word.

"Yes?! Oh, how romantic! No one has ever said yes to before!" the woman got excited, her voice was higher-pitched, like that of a little girl.

The young man didn’t want to accept it, he couldn’t let fear control him; his trembling gaze filled with determination.

He took a breath of air, slowly, and then...

"SEBAAAAS!" he didn’t hold back, he shouted at the top of his lungs, with all his strength.

And in the sa instant he pronounced that na, a figure ca out of the closet, breaking it.

A blur approached, impacting against the woman, pushing her away from the boy.

"At last, young master, I was really having trouble restraining the urge to hit that indecent woman."

Yes, Sebastian had arrived to the rescue.
