Chapter 46: Hell Cat

Since he didn’t want to be discovered, Desther dressed in his usual outfit and decided to put a ski mask under the hoodie.

He also took off all of the weights he strapped on himself, worried that they might get damaged and lost. They were expensive to make, after all, so he definitely does not want any of them to be gone.

This ti, Desther did not plan to stay long, so he decided not to bring his backpack. Just to be safe, he also did not bring any personal belongings that might be used to identify him.

Although the location of that dungeon was outside the city, it was actually not that far from the city wall, so any monsters that appear in that location should be sothing that he could manage.

After he was done, Desther imdiately set out toward the location as swiftly as possible.

The sun was now almost setting, and he could not afford to remain outside during the night.

After almost twenty minutes, Desther finally arrived at the shelter’s wall.

The wall was over ten ters in height and was extrely thick. This wall also encircled the whole shelter, making it safe for everyone that was present inside.

According to what he knew, it was made using the combination of science and superpowers of Awakened Professionals.

At the top of these walls were sentries assigned by the local governnt to oversee any potential threat in the area.

The reason why he chose this particular area was obviously because the sentry assigned to this post was not that competent and easily got distracted.

Desther discovered this a year ago when he was leisurely strolling around.

Creeping over the wall, Desther observed the top and saw the sentry that he was familiar with.

With Desther’s enhanced attributes and senses, he was able to monitor the top thoroughly.

And the mont the man got distracted, Desther imdiately leapt as high as he could and was propelled upward like he had a built-in thruster.

With a single leap, he was able to cover more than seven ters. He took another leap using the edge of the wall as leverage, allowing him to jump over the wall perfectly.

He sorsaulted mid-air and was able to land perfectly on the opposite side.

The mont he landed, the sentry imdiately turned his head toward that location. Without wasting any ti, he dashed toward that area and inspected the location imdiately.

Seeing that there was nothing there, the man decided to ignore it.

Inside his head, the man was already thinking about when he could go ho.

...

After he landed, Desther imdiately dashed forward as he sensed that the man took notice of his landing.

After hiding for a little bit, he sensed that the man was no longer paying attention, so it was only then that he decided to relax.

’I did not expect that I could already jump that high,’ he thought to himself as he recalled his terrifying vertical earlier.

And if he used all of his strength, Desther was actually confident that he would be able to leap at least nine ters.

There was nothing to worry about with his knees notwithstanding the impact on the ground as well since his Vitality was already very high right now.

Anyway, after confirming that the sentry was no longer walking, Desther imdiately ran toward the area ntioned by Boqor.

Dozens of minutes later, Desther finally arrived at the location.

Since he had arrived, he imdiately road the area and searched for any monster he could kill.

Although monsters were nurous, it was actually not easy to spot them, especially if he was just at the edge of their territory.

It was a well-known fact that once monsters successfully break out of a dungeon, they would remain in the vicinity and make the area their base while the dungeon itself would continuously spit out more monsters.

After a few minutes of searching, Desther finally spotted the monster that he was looking for.

Like what Boqor stated, they definitely looked like oversized cats.

To be more precise, they were as big as a lion and had long brown furs that touched the ground.

Desther decided to move a little closer to observe the creature more closely.

At that mont, Desther realized how ugly their faces were.

It was black and full of wrinkles. With their fangs sticking out of their mouth, they look more like an eldritch entity rather than an oversized animal.

If the Apocalypse did not happen, humans on earth would definitely not be able to imagine that such a thing actually exists.

The saying, ’Don’t judge the book by its cover’ could rightfully describe the scene that he was seeing right now.

Their beautiful and long brown fur was in contrast to the overly wrinkled skin he saw on their face.

According to Boqor and information he gathered on the internet, this creature was called Hell Cat.

Like most of the monsters, their level also depends on their size and notable markings.

Judging by their size, Desther estimated them to be around level 5 or 6.

For Awakened Professionals at such a level, their attributes would range from 9 to 12 each if they distributed their Free Attributes evenly.

Monsters naturally have different attribute classifications compared to humans, as they were usually stronger compared to humans of the sa level.

He does not want to underestimate them, though. Fortunately, Desther just has the right skill to probe their strength without alerting them.

Staring directly at the two Hell Cat, Desther casts Theft Mark to each of them and imdiately uses Attribute Theft without hesitation.

The stolen attributes of the two Hell Cats were imdiately displayed right in front of his eyes.

Just as he finished inspecting the details, Desther suddenly saw movents on the Hell Cat’s side.
