Chapter 94: Not About Use

In his entire life, William has been driven by a single purpose... find a fairy and reunite with his family. It does not matter if he wanted to be with them or not or know them. All he knew was he had to fulfill that purpose propelled into his head by Basker, his ntor. Basker never explained much about it... but he did ntion all will be revealed when the prophecy is fulfilled.

And thus William spent 700 centuries searching for a fairy, whenever a piece of news ca about a Fairy’s birth he would descend to the Mortal Realm in search of them... but the ti fra between the two realms lay different so it beca an obstacle in his search because whenever he ca to the Mortal Realm it was already too late... either dying of old age or used by a warlock for their selfish desires. It was always too late...

Due to his frequent coming with his limited ti, he beca known to the magical creatures that exist in the Mortal Realm as the ’Fox god’ ; they randomly only knew that of him and never saw his face.

For a whole 700 centuries it was a back-and-forth action, constantly in search of sothing without any results... but not until Ava, this ti he wasn’t too late, he was able to find her before it was too late. His life’s long purpose ca to an end for she fell into his hands that very day at the auction and strangely the said Fairy turned out to be his soulmate, one he had not intended to et or even have a chance of ever eting, because of his being belonging solely to this dinsional plane and existing nowhere but here, a mate was the last thing on his mind.

All his life the Library was supposed to be all he would ever have... the only thing he would ever cherish, nothing else matters than safeguarding millions of knowledge for the world, a purpose inbound into him and he was made for it. Its very purpose...

Fate has other plans though... and it is also confusing.

Ava is not the fairy given by the prophecy, it is entirely different and William took a mont to think about what he has just discovered or more what he has just proven to be in fact true after he set his eyes on that book.

Has his lifelong journey not co to an end?

Does he still need to venture in search of a fairy?

Those two particular questions ramd through his very brain every second... but he knew better not to conclude just yet, for he understood everything has a reason to happen, things all play by a single aning that leads to a particular thing, no matter how unuseful and unpredictable it might be. If Ava was no use to him he wouldn’t have found her then.

He grew up in a lifestyle caring only about uses and what he would benefit from anyone and that was only what he cared about, he never cared for anyone, and there was no need to.

Ava has her use for him.... She’s his mate and it was all about fulfilling his said duty to her and preserving his line. At least that was what he thought the very first ti... but who knew he would end up caring for her? Thinking about her like a second purpose in his life? Feels things for her that were considered impossible? Glued to his side like a second skin? Wanting to hear her voice and her laughter, every single day? Wanting to gaze upon her face like it was a single purpose in his life?

He cares for her and she makes him feel things he has never felt before, emotions he thought he would never grasp in this lifeti, she ended up awakening them all.

Fairy or not... he wants her to remain by his side forever, she brought a certain daybreak into his life he never had. It was nothing but the cold walls of knowledge but she lted those walls with a re smile from her lips, a re blush, and a glimr in her eyes when she laughed to the fullest, a re soft touch that radiated sothing remarkable within him.

That day when she was cannibalized by those pixies he thought he would lose her forever, he thought he would never see her again... his mind got driven to a void and he had to stop his beating heart to get rid of a pain powerful enough to destroy it.

She was slowly intertwining into a heart that beats abnormally.

His nose suddenly caught a flowery delicious scent, both hunger and a flushed feeling enclosed his insides as he darted his eyes to the side and found Ava peeking at him from behind the shelf.

??гeewe??n??vel

A smile found his lips as he tilted his head to the side, studying her. Her cheeks instantly succumb to blush, sothing she has been doing regularly.

"Is sothing bothering you, Master"

"Why... miss

already" he teased, loving how she would blush and seem lost whenever she stared into his eyes like he was the only breathing being in the world.

So satisfying

"T-That’s not what I’m saying,’’ She stepped away from the shelf and he could finally see her completely, petite and beautifully perfect. "It’s just your aura seems off"

"Hmm," he made only a sound darting his eyes back to the shelf before him. "Rember when I told you about a prophecy I didn’t have the chance of explaining completely?"

"Yes... about a ’Fairy who reunites all’..."

He nodded.

"And have you had the chance to think about it?"

She leveled her gaze, sothing she always does when she is nervous and he found it endearing.

"I-I thought about it... I’m the fairy aren’t I?" she raised her gaze back to him. "Except I don’t know exactly what I’m reuniting with," she mused.

"And rember what I told you about caring for your use to

only?"

He heard her heart skip two fast beats.

"Y-Yes?"

He turns to her fully. "In all my life Ava I have never cared for anyone, I only cared about the benefit, and uses, nothing asured except that"

"You care only for my use," she said in a downhearted tone.

"I once did," he paused. "This is not about uses anymore, Ava,"
