Mr. Jones and Mrs. Jones laughed when they saw the two siblings quarreled with each other. Mrs. Jones looked at Riya and said, "Don't mind them. This happens every single ti."
"Yes, Auntie." Riya smiled in response.
She would not mind this. After all, Alia had quarreled a lot in the past with their other friends too.
"Alright, alright, let's stop and finish the al." Mr. Jones looked at the two children and said authoritatively.
"Yes, Father."
The two children imdiately stayed quiet. They knew better than anyone that they should never challenge their father's majesty unless they wanted to ask for a beating.
Everyone quickly finished their al and Riya bid her farewell to everyone.
"Are you not going to stay here?" Mrs. Jones asked, feeling a bit of pity. She knew how good the relationship between Riya and Alia were and would be worried if Riya stayed outside.
"I don't think it'll be appropriate, Auntie," Riya said helplessly.
Besides, she could guess that Samuel wouldn't be happy if there were outsiders in his ho. Rather than asking for trouble, it would be better for Riya to go. Besides, she would not stay in the base for now.
"Alright." Mrs. Jones sighed and patted Riya's shoulder. She then turned to look at Alia. "Send her off and don't let anyone bully her."
Alia: ???
She was sure that with the skills that Riya showed to her, whoever dared to bully Riya would be asking for trouble.
But she said nothing and agreed to her mother's words.
The two girls walked to the courtyard and slowly made their way to the half constructed wall. The sound of gunshots could still be heard from ti to ti but their frequency had been reduced greatly. It seed that the battle should be over.
"Which way do you want to go?" Alia asked.
"Just this." Riya pointed to a different entrance from the one where they ca. After all, there was Samuel there and Riya didn't want to explain about her ability the second ti.
"Alright, rember to be careful." Alia looked at Riya and then asked, "What should I say if my brother asks about you?"
"Huh?" Riya was confused when she heard Alia's question. "Why would he ask about ?"
Even Sean didn't seem to be interested in her affairs and leave it to Alia. After all, they were not close to each other.
Riya also didn't have that much interaction with Samuel except during the ti when they were in the dormitory and couldn't get out for a period of ti. After that, they didn't really see each other much.
"Just in case." Alia shrugged.
"Well, you can show him that talisman," Riya replied. She knew that they would know sooner or later and anyway, if she could just make use of the inheritance excuse for the ti being, why not?
She might tell the truth in the future.
Otherwise, she would live as an ordinary person until the end with that excuse.
…Wait, a person who know magic, can she be categorized as an ordinary person? To be honest, Riya highly doubted that.
"Ok." Alia grinned.
Seeing Alia's expression, Riya had the feeling that Alia wanted to brag about her to others. After all, when they were in the university, Alia often bragged about various things and even bragged about her to her friends.
That made Riya a bit embarrassed, though.
Riya raised her hand and knocked Alia's forehead. "Don't tell to anyone aside from your close family mbers."
She didn't want to be troubled by others coming to her or anything like that. It would be better for her to stay in secret and harvested these magic beasts' corpses and magic cores for her own use.
"I know." Alia nodded solemnly.
After the world had changed, Alia also knew that those who had abilities might be targeted. What she wanted the most was for Riya to stay safe, so there was no way Alia would be willing to let others find out about Riya's ability.
Unless Riya was the one who wanted to promote it.
Otherwise, she would keep this matter a secret and never leak it out to anyone.
The two of them had only been friends with each other for a few years in the university, but they knew that they could trust the other party to keep their secret.
Even if they would not tell everything but this matter couldn't really be kept secret.
"Alright, I'll be going now." Riya saw that they had reached the place. The wall was not complete yet and there were several magic beasts outside but the number was far less than the number on the other gate.
Moreover, the walls and the barricade prevented them from coming in.
"How do you plan to…?" Alia hadn't finished asking when she saw Riya jumped on the pavents and then jumped down. She was dumbfounded and could only watch when Riya ca outside and then disappeared.
Looking around her, Alia couldn't see the shadow of Riya at all.
If not for her knowing that Riya must be outside, she would have thought that Riya was playing a joke on her.
'Invisibility magic?'
Alia thought to herself but she was not entirely sure.
After all, Alia's knowledge about magic was very limited. There were only things that her brother told her and the martial arts association spread out to their internal mbers.
There were many magic that Alia didn't know at all.
So invisibility magic should be possible…
'Didn't Riya said that she didn't know any magic?'
When Alia thought about this, she felt that there was sothing strange with Riya's statent. But after she thought about it deeper, she felt that it shouldn't be magic spell but a magic talisman.
Perhaps, there was a magic talisman that could make them disappear?
Alia really wanted to ask her older brother about this.
She should wait until Samuel was done with the battle against these magic beasts and then asked a few question.
Just a few questions should be fine…
