Tristan’s Point Of View

My mind was racing a mile a minute. It felt as if I was having an information overload. I didn’t exactly have any lingering emotions towards the Alpha. After all, I had only gotten to see him once, and Aunt Maybelline forbade from ever seeing him again.

That said, I definitely didn’t want or need another damn Mate, and I was mortified at the thought of not getting a choice in the matter. It was entirely possible that my Mates would eliminate him without a second thought, if they ever crossed paths with one another, as well.

From what I could rember, the guy didn’t seem like a bad person. He had told about his life at his facility, and I felt sorry for him because it seed like his life was much worse than my own.

The fact that he was still in the facility, and suffering terribly, no less, made sympathetic towards him. However, I didn’t know enough about him or imprinting, as a whole to brainstorm any solutions.

But more than anything else, I was extrely pissed off at how they had manipulated us, and how they would gladly sacrifice the Alpha as a pawn for their own benefit. If nothing else, I knew for certain that they would never allow him to properly mate with , in the event that he actually succeeded in capturing .

It would only serve to inconvenience them in their endeavors to breed . They would either use him to track down my exact location, expect his demise once he pinned down my whereabouts, or dispose of him after his successful retrieval of .

Either way, his survival was of no significance in their plans. It was a harsh reality, that I was sure he would not be aware of.

"Tristan, are you implying that encountering this Alpha again, could trigger sothing between the two of you?" Bellamy asked, pulling down onto his lap after he sat back down.

"I’m saying that it’s impossible to know what will happen. What if it does? What if he is actually able to Imprint on , as well? What if he’s in a manic state when they release him? What our close proximity alters my constitution?" I asked, panicking at all the potential problems his interaction could cause.

"I was told that their first encounter, is the reason why Tristan’s pheromones are so aggressive and addicting, and why they still have an effect on others even after being Mated. Because of their eting, Tristan’s geno beca aggressive. It basically put Tristan’s power and influence, above that of a Hyper-Dominant Alpha. He could easily imprint on any Alpha that his body finds compatible, as long as his emotions are strong enough." Nahana said, looking sorrowful.

The room beca tense, and heavy. No one had been expecting thus information, and it only further proved my worries were extrely, justified. No one said anything. After all, what could we even say back to that.

Being able to Imprint on others so easily, was an absolute nightmare. Even if it was done subconsciously, and was unintentional on my part, it made sick to my stomach.

But I had a more important question to ask.

"What exactly is imprinting? How is it different from Mating?" I asked, nervously.

"Well, generally speaking... It’s sothing that transpires between compatible Alphas and Ogas. Alphas usually use their pheromones to imprint on Ogas that they have a deep emotional bond with. As long as the feeling is mutual, the Ogas beco dependent on the Alpha’s pheromones. The Alphas experience a more composed and level-headed rut, in return. Unfortunately, if what Nahana says, is true... Then, your geno will basically take on the role of the Alphas, and the Alphas will take on the characteristic role of the Ogas instead." yhymn replied.

"Aside from the physical aspects of Mating, the other differences between the two are that, Imprints can be done without any contact at all. They can also drive the Ogas into a state of psychosis, so it’s not sothing that people do lightly." Sylvester added.

I hadn’t known that imprinting was even a thing. Now that I had all this information, it was obvious that they were telling the truth. I drove that Alpha crazy, and he’s been in hell ever since.

"I also think it’s important to hide any and all evidence that Arellany exists, as well as the girls. Anything that would alert any potential invaders that Tristan might have children." Nahana said, out of the blue.

"I had everything removed from the main estate already, and locked in the detached house for the girls. yhymn put it on lock down this morning." Bellamy replied.

"Yeah, I’m thinking about letting Tristan use that for a safe house. It might as well be a military base with all the defensive chanisms that yhymn installed." Ferdinand chuckled.

No one complained, nor did they object.

"We can aim to subdue the Alpha first. Then, if he can be reasoned with, or at the very least willing to communicate, we will talk things out. If all else fails... Kill him." Cole said, stunning everyone in attendance.

He started off amicably– an expected trait of his gentle characteristic nature– then plunged head first into rciless. For him to have suggested it at all, spoke volus about how he was perceiving the other Alpha.

’Be still my beating heart, is he actually jealous?’

I didn’t sense it through our bond, there were far to many strong emotions coming from all my Alphas. Jealousy, Anger, Anxiety, Sadness, and Determination were swirling about within our Bond, it was impossible to single out anyone’s personal feelings.

There would never co a ti when Cole should be jealous. He was the very foundation of our group. This notion was only further confird after our first Mating Cycle. He had been the one holding everything together when Bellamy, Sylvester, and Ferdinand beca too busy with work.

I couldn’t help but smirk, as I stealthily rubbed his mark on my wrist.

He flinched before looking in my direction. I said nothing, but I didn’t need to. He understood loud and clear.

"Agreed. We can deal with that situation as it cos. The bottom line is that we just need to keep him away from Tristan, and confirm his intentions first." Sylvester said.

"Well, if that information has been processed well enough for now, I’d like to give an update as well." yhymn said.

"Absolutely." Ferdinand replied without hesitation.

"Rahzden has been flourishing in his facility in the Whastelahnd. Information suggests that he too, was successful in his endeavor to recreate Tristan’s geno. And now that he wields a dominant influence over that Duhtchy, he can also move freely. For obvious reasons, he can also be easily swayed by our enemies. It’s harder to track his movents due to the outdated state of that Duhtchy. But I have no doubt that Chazn or Shaihffer has already reached out to him." yhymn explained.

"Well, I’m not giving him another chance. If I hear even a glimpse of him potentially taking action against us, I will end his like this ti without question. Ferdinand replied.

Our preliminary discussion ended up being rife with heavy information, and unsavory news. On one hand, I was grateful for any helpful information that we received. But on the other, everything was stressing out and wearing down.

My mind was in so much turmoil, that I could no longer control my pheromones. I noticed Zambian and Lahnsen shudder while subtly moving backwards.

Ferdinand stood up imdiately, and snatched off of Bellamy’s lap. Without warning, his pheromones flared to an unholy degree, making everyone flinch.

"The eting will start soon, co get us when it’s ti." Ferdinand said gruffly, before leaving his office.

No one said a word, but they watched us leave with worried frowns.

"Tristan, if you want to attend the eting, then you need to calm down. I know it’s a lot to take in, and it’s stressful. But your pheromones will negatively affect Nahana, Zambian, and Lahnsen. As much as I love them, I’d still kill them for going into a Rut and triggering your Heat. Even though it’s no one’s fault. I’d still do it anyway. So just take deep breaths for ." Ferdinand said, rubbing my back as we entered his room.

I tried to do as he asked, but it was much easier said than done. It felt like I couldn’t get enough air in my lungs.

"Haha! That’s the exact opposite of what I said to do. C’mon, Tristan... I’m only saying this to you now, because I can’t imagine Zachariah has any good news for us. So just focus on instead."

"You make it... sound so easy... but, I have no back up plans... I’m scared..." I murmured into his chest.

"Together. We’ll get through it all, together."
