Tahlia’s Point Of View

"Tahli, did you pack everything you’re going to be taking?" Arrisa asked, as she entered my room.

"Yeah... For the most part. I really don’t want to leave though..." I sighed.

Today was the day that we would be moving to Uncle yhymn’s ho. I couldn’t hide my anxiety at all. Just the thought of leaving ho for an untold amount of ti, scared . I couldn’t help but worry that sothing would go wrong.

Truth be told, I thought it was way too risky to move all of us now that there were so many uncertainties. I wasn’t sure how they planned to keep everything under wraps as they pulled this off, but I trusted my family too much to doubt them now.

They had gone to so pretty extre lengths to keep us safe, so it would be a huge disservice to them if I lost faith now.

’But still...’

My anxiety was almost crippling, and I worried that I would fold under its imnse pressure.

"Yeah, I get what you an... But, Granny ahlene, Nahana, and Odehssa will be coming with us, so that puts my mind at ease a bit more..." Arrisa said, plucking from my thoughts.

"Wait, they are?" I asked in startled surprise.

"Yup! Payhne told this morning. He also said that another Mafia King sent us extra manpower, and that so of them will be going to look after us as well. It seems that they are going all out this ti, in order to keep us safe." Arrisa said, with a broad grin on her face.

The way she spoke, surprisingly put my mind at ease. She had much more faith in our Uncles than I did, and if she could still smile that brightly, then I was helpless against it. If she could still have such a strong conviction in her heart with èverything that had happened to her, then who was I to doubt her?

"Honestly, at this point I’m just hoping that there will be enough space for everyone." I said with a chuckle.

*Knock...Knock...Knock...*

"Hey, Tahlia. Ahriel and I will take your luggage down to the vans now, if that’s alright with you." Rohan said, as he stood in my doorway.

"Yeah. Everything I’m taking is all along that wall." I said, indicating my belongings.

"Right. Don’t mind us then. Oh, also. Tristan and the guys are waiting for you in the Great Hall in the main estate. I believe Sable and the others are already there." He added.

"Okay. We’ll head there in a bit." I replied.

"Arrisa... Payhne and Gillian are taking your luggage down now as well. Have you finished packing everything you’ll need?" Ahriel asked.

"Yup! Payhne should know what all I’m taking, so that shouldn’t be a problem. If I need anything else, we’ll just buy it once we get to where we’re going." Arrisa replied, happily.

"Understood, Princess." Ahriel said, bowing dutifully.

Rohan and Ahriel imdiately got to work collecting all of my belongings and carrying them out of my room. I took one final look around my room, feeling a twinge in my chest at the impending hosickness that I would no doubt begin to feel once I left.

Suddenly, I felt a warm hand intertwine with my own, and gasped in surprise. I looked to my left, and saw Arrisa beaming her prize winning smile at .

"Don’t worry. Just have faith in our family. This isn’t farewell, it’s see you later." She chuckled.

I returned her smile, and we made our way out of my room hand in hand.

’Yeah... I’ll see you later.’

Sable’s Point Of View

"Alright. Gather round, I’m going to explain the ga plan for the departure." Raihne said, gathering everyone’s attention.

The room was so tense, but at the sa ti, brimming with palpable sorrow. The more one looked around, the more you realized that our family had more non-combatants than anything else. With so many people to protect, it was no wonder that tension and anxiety were running rampant.

"We have made this departure sothing of a shell ga. This is to ensure that you won’t be followed, and that there will be no infiltrators. We have selected 7 people to be given their complete route information. This is so we can quickly narrow down any moles or traitors amongst the group." Raihne began.

He went on to explain how we would move, and noted that there would be multiple ans of transportation taken. True to his word, he never divulged any specific information about our movents, or who would be taking which route.

The passengers were going to be in the dark just as much as the security detail. I couldn’t say for sure if we were making the right choice, but it was clear from their ticulous planning that they were doing everything in their power to keep us safe.

However, while the others were worried about the move and our safety, I had sothing else clogging my mind and body.

"Sable, are you feeling okay?" Raihne asked softly, as he approached .

Apparently, he had finished with his briefing, and it was now Ferdinand’s turn to speak. I couldn’t really focus on anything Ferdinand was saying However, because due to Raihne’s close proximity, my body wouldn’t stop trembling.

"Yeah, I’ll be alright. When are we supposed to be leaving?" I asked, trying to distract him from my current predicant.

"In 1 hour. We figured that everyone should get a chance to say their goodbyes. But keep that info to yourself. You never know how it could be used against you." Raihne said, with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.

"Yeah, I’m sure Tristan will have the hardest ti..." I sighed, glancing in Tristan’s direction.

He could never hide his feelings very well, and right now his face was battling an array of emotions. There were no words of comfort that I could give him, because I wasn’t exactly going to be having a hard ti leaving.

If I was being honest, even though I loved being in the mansion with everyone, I also wanted a new vantage point in life. Also, Raihne would be coming with us, so I didn’t exactly have a right to tell Tristan to "Tough it out".

If anything, it would be cruel of to even try to console him. It would probably look like I was just rubbing his misfortune in his face.

"Hmm? I don’t know... Sothing tells that he won’t be going with you guys... Although it’s just a hunch..." Raihne replied, thoughtfully.

"What do you an? Why would he stay? He’s the main target..." I asked, perplexed.

"Think about it... He can’t be away from his Alphas for too long. It might actually kill him. And those idiots will beco distracted if they constantly feel his pain and discomfort while he is away. It’s a risky gamble for sure, but ultimately I don’t think they’ll have a choice." Raihne said with a sigh.

I couldn’t help but stare blankly at Raihne. I had never imagined that Tristan would be staying behind. I also hadn’t thought about all the drawbacks of his creation and Mating. I beca extrely worried about my big brother, instantly.

’It’s far too dangerous for you to stay here brother... But even more dangerous for you, if you leave? Fate is much too cruel...’

"Once all your luggage has been loaded up, we will separate you all into groups and move out accordingly." Ferdinand said, concluding his announcent.

I was a little dumbfounded that Ferdinand had just audibly voiced information that Raihne had just told to keep to myself. I looked back and forth between Ferdinand and Raihne in bewildernt.

"He gave a vague ti fra for a reason. Truthfully, all of your luggage has been loaded up already, and they are currently being transported to the safe house. We can’t give definitive information about the departure or the routes. Rest assured that you will all be together in one group." Raihne said, trying to comfort .

"Who is all?" I asked, quizzically.

"You, Joobe, Ari, Del, Arellany, Tahlia, and Tristan... If he chooses to go..." He replied.

Suddenly, a tremor coursed through my body, and my knees buckled. Raihne caught and wrapped his arm around my waist, to support further.

"Are you okay? What’s wrong–"

Raihne abruptly stopped his questioning and covered his nose. My body was gearing up for my first heat, and my pheromones were becoming unstable.

"How many more days? Three? Four? Will you be able to withstand it? If I’m being honest, your pheromones are ridiculously strong right now, and I’m not sure I could withstand them at maximum strength. However..." Raihne trailed off, looking around the room nervously.

"Sable... Not that this is helpful information but, you sll so good it’s crazy. I don’t even know what to na this sll... It’s like a cake covered in fresh fruits. Sorry, is that insensitive of to say?" Joobehlee murmured softly beside .

"It’s alright. I’ll take it as a complint, my little minion." I said, smiling softly at her.

’However... I’m not entirely sure that I can handle this for too much longer..’
