Lyukhe’s Point Of View

"Boys... You shouldn’t be in here just yet." I said muting my mic, and standing up abruptly.

"Master? Are you going to war, again?" Maihsson asked, visibly trembling.

"It’s not set in stone. My job, is to ensure that you guys remain safe, and free from harm. Please wait for in my room for just a bit longer. I promise to explain everything to you then."

I walked up to them, and kissed each of them on their foreheads. Once I kissed them, it beca blatantly clear that they were all trembling nervously. I couldn’t help but pull them into my arms.

"Everything will be alright, just put your trust in . I promise to do everything that I need to, for your sakes. Please, try not to worry so much." I said, hugging them tightly.

"Okay, Master..." Maihsson mumbled.

"Don’t take too long... Wahrryn is losing his patience..." Mahxim grumbled.

"You got it." I chuckled.

Once they left my office, I returned to my desk and took my seat. After resuming my cara, and taking my microphone off of mute, I tried to catch up on the conversation.

"Please. Give us what you can. You have been extrely helpful, you have our gratitude. " Zachariah said to yhymn.

From my perspective, yhymn looked like he had a lot to say, but he wasn’t sure how to actually say it. He stood unmoving and clenched his fists for a mont, before he finally spoke.

"There are a few things that you need to know going forward. Please save all of your questions until I have finished. This will drag on for hours if you guys freak out everyti I say sothing. Is that alright?" yhymn asked, his eyes deeply serious.

"Of course. No one is to interrupt him. Is that understood?" Zachariah readily agreed.

We all nodded in agreent.

"First, You should know that Casteille was the right-hand man of his predecessor, Mr. Wyhett. There is even a chance that he was a patron of the facilities as well. Second, If we exclude Delgaide and Lore’rahlye, the governnt has control over 4 other facilities. These facilities have beco extrely active within the last 3 years."

It was a good thing that Zachariah agreed not to interrupt yhymn. I had no doubt that the information being shared right now, would determine all of our next moves. Everyone wore a tense expression, clearly wanting to chi in.

"Third, Rahzden has been busy. Surviving like the cockroach that he is, he has made another facility as well. There’s talk circulating, that he has successfully created another Oga similar to Tristan. He has not co of age yet, so there is no definitive proof just yet."

That statent seed to suck the air out of the eting. Everyone was staring at yhymn, wide eyed and jaw dropped.

’We should have just killed him and been done with it...’

"The fourth thing you should know, is that the governnt is slowly blocking off all of your Duhtchies. They have begun to take over their own police forces in their Duhtchies, and then subsequently transferred around ultimately landing in a Duhtchy with a King ruling. Nearly all of your Chief-of-Police positions have been replaced by now."

I could feel a headache coming on. That kind of alteration did not happen without a King’s approval. We could never allow the head of our police departnts oppose us in anyway, or choose soone who would work against us. That was a crucial position within our Duhtchies, and would cripple us imnsely in the event of an ergency.

"Lastly... and I almost don’t want to say this at all, but... There are spies among your facility staff... I can’t give a definite number, it took quite a while to confirm the presence of spies at all. Those of you working with geneticists should be extrely cautious. When I set up your systems, I did so on a closed circuit. That was to ensure no one could access your information from the outside. That system becos aningless if the files are copied from your in-house computers and sent elsewhere."

The pained look in his eyes was gut wrenching. It was as if he was beating himself up for not seeing this problem beforehand. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that it wasn’t his fault. We never expected them to hit all of us so brazenly, and practically out of nowhere.

After yhymn finished his statents, the eting erupted into a bit of chaos. Questions were being thrown around, tempers were flaring, and at the center of it all was Tristan. He’d been looking queasy, ever since yhymn announced that an Oga like him had been created.

I couldn’t even begin to imagine what was going on in his mind right now. He had so much more to worry about now, but the look on his face seed to apologize for the shit storm we were all currently caught up in.

"Listen to ! I know you have your questions and concerns, but we’ll never get this done with everyone yelling and talking over each other. Please calm the hell down!" Zachariah said, his eyes glowing brightly.

"Listen, I emailed all of you encrypted files. These files have all the information that I was able to find out about our situation. The pass code for said files, will be a word or na that holds aning to you, and you alone. I have given you each a hint for it as well, it should pop up after the first incorrect answer. Everything I know is in that file, do your best to protect your Duhtchies." yhymn said curtly.

"Well then, let’s get to work. I’ll try my best to keep you all in the loop regarding any movent or sudden action, being taken by the governnt. I plan to schedule a eting with Ohr’Aizen two days from now. We will have another eting once I get back, and I’ll give you the abbreviated version. You’re all dismissed." Zachariah sighed, his screen going black.

I also said my farewells, before closing out of the eting completely. It was clear that this wouldn’t simply blow over, or stop after another failed attack. However, there was only one thing that I valued above all else. As long as I had it, I’d take on any foe to keep it.

I stood up from my desk, and made my way back to my room. My mind was spinning with information, and it felt as though I would go insane just trying to compartntalize it all.

"Master! That was way too long. We couldn’t distract Wahrryn at all... He’s not talking to us anymore..." Maihsson complained, as soon as I opened the door.

I glanced around my room and noticed that Wahrryn was laying down in bed, his head propped up on Mahxim’s thighs.

"Well, I’m here now. We can talk about whatever you want. I’ll try to answer all your questions, if I can." I said placing an arm around Maihsson’s shoulders, and walking towards the bed.

"No secrets. Promise?" He asked, innocently.

"No more secrets. I need you guys to be aware of the situation as well. It will make it easier to protect you, going forward." I nodded.

"Okay. Deal!" Maihsson agreed happily.

His smile was so wide and genuine, that I found it hard not to smile back. We had been lucky before. We traveled to many different places, the boys got to eat an assortnt of new foods, and they were able to live as people. Those tis were over now, even just walking around the Duhtchy was dangerous for an Oga.

’Their safety is my only concern... I’ll protect them with my life, no matter the cost...’
