Shannon’s Point Of View

"Uncle! I’m tired of waiting! How can you be so calm and nonchalant, when your own son has been missing for years!?" I demanded.

My Uncle Shaihffer, had been quietly twiddling his thumbs for 6 years. Never once making any significant moves to avenge his sister, nephew, or son. He kept saying that he had a plan, and that "All good things, co to those who wait." But I couldn’t take it any longer.

When I ca to him for help with my plans for revenge, he had looked at with sad, pain filled eyes. He told that whoever had committed the cris, had covered up their tracks thoroughly and that they didn’t have any solid leads.

But that all changed when my Uncle Chazn revealed so new information he had gathered about the attack. Apparently, Uncle Shaihffer’s last phone call to my mother is what started the investigation in the first place. He said she had been ridiculously excited because had captured the Golden Goose.

It didn’t take long for to fill in the gaps that seed to perforated the story. It was now a well-known fact that said Oga had mated with an equally infamous Mafia King.

So learning that that sa bastard had killed my mother and brother, had set on an unstoppable warpath.

My Uncles had blocked all the plans I had tried to make to get my revenge. I had never been known for my patience, and as the Deputy Director of the ATF, I had power and authority that I could flex any ti.

After the higher-ups plan to retrieve the runaway Ogas from Ferdinand’s casino had failed, I had basically been ostracized by my departnt and treated like a failure.

"Shannon, if you rush a plan, you risk that plan failing. Have you learned nothing from your previous experiences?" He chided.

I could do nothing but bristle with anger. He had been constantly rubbing it in about how badly I had failed at any attempt to retrieve the Ogas. It was infuriating that I didn’t have a single rebuttal for his taunting remarks.

"Well if you’re so confident, how about you tell what you’re planning!"

"Why should I do that? You will act when I say so, and not a mont sooner. You’re so eager to act, that you can’t even see the bigger picture. You and your brother are so similar, in that you never think things through and act rashly."

"Sitting around gets us nowhere!"

"Tell sothing Shannon, do you know what it is we do here?" Uncle asked.

"You enforce the laws of Delgahtowe...?" I replied, confused.

"Correct. Do you know how long it takes to get a law passed?"

"N-No..." I mumbled.

"It takes about 4 years to get them approved, and 2 more years to fully put them into effect throughout Delgahtowe."

"What’s your point?" I asked, annoyed.

"Chazn has submitted a petition for 3 new laws. We needed to allow the proper amount of ti for the laws to beco effective. The wait is nearly over." He said, a sinister smile playing on his lips.

His eerie expression sent a chill down my spine. I had misjudged my Uncles, and their reliability. But now that he had smugly given a hint of his plan, I was extrely curious about sothing.

"Uncle? What kind of Laws did Uncle Chazn propose?"

"Hmph! As if I’d tell you that! How about you do sothing productive, and bring helpful information. You’re as useless as tits on a bull!" He yelled, standing up and leaving the room.

I could feel my anger mounting all over again. He never seed to run out of insults.

’UGH! He’s such an asshole!’

yhymn’s Point Of View

"E, do you want scrambled eggs?" I yelled towards the living room.

"Yes please!" Ca his happy reply.

I began cracking a few eggs into a skillet and then started to scramble them. I couldn’t deny how worried I was to leave the guys, but after 3 years with no incidents I had resigned myself to finally leave.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t still worried about them, but the 3 years that I’d spent living the mated life at ho, were completely worth it. Everyday was spent doing what I loved, with Ezekihel by my side.

Ezekihel often grumbled about missing Synnahn and the others whenever I worked too long and he got bored, but even his muttered complaining was cute to .

"E, it’s almost ready. Co eat." I called, scooping the eggs onto a plate.

I picked the plate up off of the counter, and turned to head towards the kitchen bar. Sothing caught my eye on the TV as I turned, and I imdiately dropped the plate on the floor, shattering it to pieces.

"What the hell was that? Are you okay, babe?" Ezekihel cried, running into the kitchen in a flurry.

I couldn’t even respond, completely transfixed on the banner scrolling across the bottom of the news broadcast.

"Babe? What are you–? Oh my fucking Gods!" Ezekihel exclaid, no doubt reading exactly what I was reading.

New Edicts from the Legislator Branch:

Privately owned Oga facilities will be outlawed effective imdiately. Anyone who owns a facility will submit to the law and turn over any Ogas to the Federal Oga Refugee Center, imdiately.

Ogas registered as Governnt Property are to turn themselves in to the proper authorities, so that proper care and housing can be administered.

Anyone harboring Governnt property without prior governnt approval, will be subjected to the harshest judgnt of the Judicials Branch.

Failure to comply with these laws will result in penalties, fines, imprisonnt, and in the most severe cases, death.

If you are unsure of whether or not you harbor governnt property, please call this number 1-800-XX6-6342, and a governnt agent will assist you.

If you are the proprietor of a privately owned facility, you have 30 days to comply. Transportation for any and all Ogas can be provided.

It was all a farce! They made it seem like they were answering the outraged cries of the people, about the inhumane Oga facilities that had been exposed, and were now trying to care for the abused Ogas...

But anyone familiar with Tristan and his story knew better. The governnt had finally made their move, and they had damned any and everyone associated with Tristan. From what I heard, the Mafia Kings were thriving in their Duhtchies with their facilities. This would deal a fatal blow to all of the Kings who had agreed to own a facility.

It wasn’t lost on that the governnt had basically gotten offended that the Kings could build their own successful facilities without any governnt assistance. No matter how much the Kings paid in taxes, the governnt wanted Ogas not money.

"yhymn? What are we going to do? I don’t want to go back to a facility, but I could never watch them kill you, either. And what about Tristan and the kids? Synnahn and Wahrryn? This is awful!" Ezekihel said, tears streaming down his face.

"Hey, don’t go losing hope in your Alpha just yet. I’d never let them take you, and I sure as fuck ain’t dyin!" I said, pulling him into my arms.

His outburst had struck a nerve with , however. Many Ogas would no doubt rather turn themselves in to avoid watching their mates get killed.

I hoped that Tristan wouldn’t have a similar mindset, and that having kids to protect would stop him from doing anything rash. However, I couldn’t shake the feeling that he would act brave once again to save his children and his siblings.

The night of his abduction played in my mind like a broken record. He had surrendered himself to save his mates once before. There was no telling how he would react, now that he had children to protect as well.

"E, go pack your things. As much as I don’t want to put you in harms way, I also can’t sit back and let my friends suffer either. You feel the sa way, no?"

"Yes, I do. Tristan would definitely sacrifice himself to save those idiots and his children. He’s just that kind of guy, y’know?"

I couldn’t help but look at Ezekihel in shock. His thoughts had basically mirrored my own, and that only made even more anxious than before.

"Right. We can’t waste any more ti. Ferdinand’s ho in StohneGarrdin isn’t exactly a secret, it will no doubt beco ground zero for a war. At the very least, we may be able to hide the kids here in my ho. Since I have many aliases and this place isn’t registered to , per se. Hopefully they will listen to reason, before all hell breaks loose." I sighed, giving Ezekihel’s forehead a kiss.

’Well then, I guess we’ve got another war on our hands...’
