"Hmph, what ’ladies first’? You just know my personality, and I fell for your trick to call first. Shaless, so brazen!" Sumr Nolan grumbled.

After losing the first round, her psychological state was completely in his grasp. How could she not lose?

"Attorney Nolan, you must be willing to lose gracefully..." Elias Spencer smirked, not denying that he deliberately let her call first.

"I accept your head... People like you will never find a wife in your lifeti!"

She imdiately turned around, unable to hold back, and waved her hand to hit him. Elias Spencer slightly frowned upon hearing her words.

Did he really make her mad?

An IQ loss is an IQ loss, he didn’t despise her, and besides, she was already better than many people.

Elias Spencer didn’t stop her and let her hit his chest.

Drunk as she was, she had no strength, and hitting him felt like scratching an itch.

"Alright, you’ve hit , don’t be mad anymore." Elias Spencer pulled her into his arms, genuinely trying to comfort her this ti.

Sumr Nolan struggled to push him away; she didn’t want him to hold her. "Stop the car... I don’t want to ride in your car."

"You can’t even walk steadily. What are you going to do getting off? Let’s go to my place tonight. If your mom sees you this drunk, she’ll be worried," he said.

Who wants to go to his place? Sumr Nolan puffed her cheeks and glared at him, refusing to engage with him anymore—

The bodyguard drove the car and soon arrived at Elias Spencer’s apartnt. Sumr Nolan staggered out of the car and quickly walked to her new apartnt.

Elias Spencer quickly caught up, grabbed her arm, and had to coax her again, "Alright, be mad when we get ho. I’ll let you hit as much as you want..."

Sumr Nolan shook off his hand, utterly detesting this man,

"That’s your ho, not mine. I have my own place. Attorney Spencer, go pick on your future wife and stop bullying just ."

With that, she staggered away.

Elias Spencer caught up again and asked her, "Are you really going back?"

"Yeah." She answered heavily, continuing to walk forward, but he suddenly lifted her up, planning to take her ho. Maybe once she sobered up, she wouldn’t be so mad anymore.

The last three glasses, he hadn’t let her drink, but being stubborn as she was, he could only pour the alcohol away.

"Who asked you to carry ? Put down! Don’t touch again!" Sumr Nolan waved and hit his chest.

Elias Spencer ignored her words and still carried her to the door of her new ho. After he left, Sumr Nolan was so annoyed with him that her stomach churned, and she felt like vomiting.

She didn’t even know the new door’s password.

Covering her mouth with one hand, she searched the hallway for a trash can.

But after searching around, she couldn’t find one.

She had no choice but to knock on the door: "Knock... knock... knock..."

After a while, the door opened, but the person standing there wasn’t her mom—it was Ian Sterling!

He looked at the woman knocking at his door, a bit surprised that she had already moved in. For the past few days, he had been deliberately avoiding her. Since she chose Elias Spencer and they were so ambiguous, entangling would only lower his status.

However, he had been in a bad mood these past few days.

Because it was the first ti he had liked a woman, a first love that was smothered before it even began.

He really wanted to ask her what exactly was he not as good as Elias Spencer?

"Why did it take so long to open the door..." Sumr Nolan muttered, not even glancing at the person in front, bypassing him, and rushing into the house.

She randomly entered a bedroom, rushed into the bathroom, and threw up over the toilet: "Ugh... ugh..."

"Why is she so drunk?"

Ian Sterling closed the door and walked in, unable to bear it, crouched down and patted her back, his deep voice tinged with concern,

"Why did you drink so much? Drink less in the future; it’s bad for your health..."

Sumr Nolan paused slightly; this voice didn’t sound like her mom’s?

After vomiting, she felt a lot better.

The person next to her helped her stand up, and the man got her a cup of water, and she rinsed her mouth at the sink. At this mont, she vaguely saw that the person in front was Ian Sterling!

Did she knock on the wrong door?

"Sorry... I ca to the wrong door..." she said, leaning softly against the sink.

"It’s fine. Do you want to sit here for a while? I have hangover dicine," Ian Sterling asked.

Sumr Nolan, though dizzy, knew this was an excellent chance to get closer to him!

"Okay." She agreed, and the man, being considerate, helped her to the living room sofa, fetched the hangover dicine, and also brought a glass of warm water.

He handed her the water and dicine together.

Sumr Nolan took them, consud the hangover dicine, leaned against the white leather sofa, propped her temple with one hand, looking at him, mind racing on what to say when he started first:

"Have you and Elias Spencer confird your relationship?"

Her eyes shifted, feigning drunkenness, "Not at all, I wouldn’t get back with an ex-boyfriend. He was the one who didn’t want back then."

Elias Spencer is her ex-boyfriend?!!!

Really?

Such a thing, she wouldn’t likely lie about.

Ian Sterling’s face showed shock, disbelief. The outside world said they were arch-enemies, but they turned out to be a couple...

Did that man always prevent him from getting close to her because he wanted to get back with her?

"How long did you date him?" He asked her, feeling sour, uncontrollably jealous.

Why didn’t he know her first?

"Half a year..." Sumr Nolan said.

Only half a year? Ian Sterling felt so relief upon hearing her words, just half a year...

"Why did you break up?" He curiously asked.

"I also want to know, but I never asked him. I’m not soone who likes to cling. If he wants to break up, then fine.

I won’t eat the grass at the back." She said, pouting.

Hearing her words, Ian Sterling felt his heart ignite again. Since she didn’t plan to reconcile with that man, why shouldn’t he try again?

Sumr Nolan uncontrollably yawned, her eyes very blurred now, unable to see his reaction clearly.

"Do you want to stay in the guest room here tonight? You’re so drunk; going back will surely worry your mom." He intended to keep her.

"...No need, my mom won’t say anything." She maintained so distance, standing up as she spoke.

Ian Sterling felt a bit disappointed, but it couldn’t be rushed. He helped her to her house’s door and rang the doorbell—

After a while, Mrs. Nolan opened the door, a strong sll of alcohol hit, feeling sorry for her daughter, she ’scolded’ her sharply:

"Why did you drink so much? It’s terrible for your body; don’t you know? Why not be smart and pour the drink out quietly?"

She supported her daughter, sowhat reproachfully looked at Ian Sterling and asked: "Did you two drink together?"

"No, Sumr Nolan must have drunk during socializing. She knocked on the wrong door earlier. I’ve given her hangover dicine, so don’t worry too much, Mrs. Nolan," he said.

"Oh, thank you!" Mrs. Nolan’s tone imdiately improved.

"You’re welco, I’ll be leaving now." Ian Sterling returned to his place, the doors of the two hos only separated by five or six ters, very close.

The next morning.

Ian Sterling cooked yam porridge at his ho, put it in a thermos, and took it to Mrs. Nolan, asking:

"Mrs. Nolan, is Sumr awake?"

"Still sleeping like a pig. Thank you for the porridge." Mrs. Nolan couldn’t refuse, so she accepted it.

She hadn’t seen this man for days and thought he had given up on her daughter, but unexpectedly he suddenly ca to care again.

Ian Sterling couldn’t help but smile at the way Mrs. Nolan described her daughter, finding the mother and daughter quite similar and amusing in their speech.

"Please remind her to drink the porridge when she wakes up. I have so things to do and will contact her later." He said and left.

Not long after, Elias Spencer ca to visit as well!
