"Alright."

Vivian imdiately stood up and walked out. When she got downstairs, she unexpectedly ran into Ian Sterling, who had just co out as well. Seeing the red mark on his face, she inexplicably wanted to laugh, unable to suppress the smile at the corner of her mouth.

Serves him right; who told him to force others?

Ian Sterling looked at her gloating expression, his face darkening. "What’s so funny?"

"Laughing at how you deserve it. Who told you to bully my sister? Hmph." She snorted coldly and headed outside.

"Where are you planning to run off to again?" Ian asked coldly.

"To the café where my sister is staying."

"I can go. You should go back." He intended to investigate personally, as a way to apologize to Sumr Nolan. After calming down, he realized it was his fault for forcing her earlier.

She had just broken up with Elias Spencer, so it’s normal for her to still have feelings for that man, especially since they had just confird their relationship.

"Do you even know which café it is? Are you that eager and still not giving up?" Vivian couldn’t stand his eagerness. Even after getting slapped, he wasn’t angry?

And still so eager to please my sister...

"Which café?" He ignored her last comnt; he couldn’t easily give up.

"Why should I tell you?" Vivian just didn’t want him to go fawn over her sister, coldly saying this and then walking away. Ian walked over and pulled her into his car.

"I’ll take you there. By the ti you leisurely walk there, what if they destroy the footage? Where exactly is it?"

She glanced at him, "Nightingale Road, The Peninsula Café."

At the law firm.

Elias Spencer’s client had just left. He picked up his phone and glanced at it. Half an hour ago, he received a ssage from an unknown number.

He opened it just then, and upon seeing the photo, a trace of worry appeared on his face. In the photo, Sumr Nolan was being embraced by a man.

Who is that man? Why is he holding her?

He imdiately called the woman, but no one answered after a long while. He hung up and then quickly dialed the number that sent the photo—

The call was soon answered, and a strange man’s voice ca through: "Hello, who is this?"

"You sent a photo half an hour ago. May I ask who you are and why you sent the photo?" Elias asked.

"Oh, a woman gave five hundred bucks to send the photo to you," the man said.

"What kind of woman?" His tone deepened.

"Why should I tell you?" The man laughed, unwilling to share without a benefit. Why should he tell him?

"I’ll give you five thousand. Describe her in detail, how about that?" Elias turned on the speakerphone, asking while lighting a cigarette, taking a deep drag, and exhaling clouds of smoke.

"Of course, no problem! The woman was quite young and attractive, with short hair, dressed in black business attire." The man’s eyes lit up upon hearing about the five thousand.

"No other details? Just those few words hardly seem worth five thousand, right?" Elias said coldly.

The man got anxious, thought carefully, and quickly added, "She has a small black mole at the corner of her left eye!"

A small black mole at the corner of her left eye? Short hair? Business attire? Elias couldn’t help but feel like he was describing his assistant—Iris Lynn!

"What kind of short hair?"

"Shoulder-length, black," the man answered.

"I’ll send you a photo in a mont; please identify her." Elias said coldly and then hung up, pressing the landline. Before long, Iris Lynn walked in, respectfully asking:

"Attorney Spencer, is there anything you need to do?"

"What were you doing this morning? Why did you co back so late?" he asked.

"I wasn’t slacking off; it was just difficult to catch a ride back, which made late." She nervously explained, Elias’s eyes glanced at the mobile phone standing upright beside the computer, dismissing her:

"Alright, go back to work."

"Yes." Iris nodded doubtfully, glancing at him again; he should have seen the photo, right? Why is he so calm?

He asked why I returned so late—could he suspect that I secretly took that photo?

Iris imdiately beca nervous, silently pondering how to respond, and walked out.

Elias picked up his phone, took a close-up photo of her from the video he fild earlier, and sent it to the unknown man, asking if it was this woman?

Not long after, the other party replied: "It’s her!"

Elias’s expression darkened. Did Iris really take the photo secretly? Then she must have seen what exactly happened between Sumr and that man?

He pressed the landline, and Iris, who had just returned to her desk, received his call again, asking her to co over.

She frowned, wondering what exactly Attorney Spencer needed?

Heading back to his office—

At the apartnt.

Sumr had just stepped out of the bathtub. The effects of the dicine had worn off, and except for feeling a bit weak, there were no other issues.

She quickly changed into business attire, and the sound of soone entering the password ca from the door. She walked out to see Ian had actually arrived. Her gaze coldly moved away from him, asking her sister:

"Did you get the surveillance video?"

Vivian shook her head, "The staff there said their surveillance has been broken for a long ti and hasn’t been repaired."

Sumr frowned, unable to identify that cunning person. Who could it be? With so much ti in the morning!

"I’ll go to the law firm first. We can discuss this later," she said, and as she passed by Ian, he suddenly grabbed her arm, apologizing:

"Sorry for earlier; I acted on impulse. It won’t happen again. Please don’t be angry, okay?"

"I’ll talk after I’ve cald down." Sumr finished speaking and removed his hand, walking away.

Vivian crossed her arms and watched him, not able to hold back a laugh as he was rebuffed again—Is my sister fake dating him just to upset Attorney Spencer?

As Ian turned around, he saw her smiling and frowned. Was she gloating again?

"Even if I can’t marry your sister, I wouldn’t marry you," he said in a deep voice.

Hearing his words, Vivian felt uncomfortable and retorted coldly, "As if I could only marry you. Are there no other n in the world?"

"Then why are you making responsible?"

"I just don’t want you to be my brother-in-law. As long as you don’t beco my brother-in-law, I won’t make you take responsibility. If you want to be my brother-in-law, then you must take responsibility for !" Vivian coldly said to him.

"..." Ian frowned at her, wondering if she was intentionally causing trouble?

At the law firm.

Iris knocked and entered his office again, walking up to his desk, looking all docile and well-behaved, asking, "Attorney Spencer, is there anything I can do for you?"

"This photo was sent to by a stranger’s phone, right?" He opened the photo, looking at her intensely and asked.

Iris’s mind raced; he really suspected —could he have confird it with that stranger?

"Yes, it was ..." She admitted directly. After all, he had no evidence to prove she set up Sumr!

"Tell , what exactly happened?" Elias asked in a deep voice.
