"Please prepare everything necessary for to enter the dungeons," Morrigan requested one of her secretaries.
"Are you sure about this?" the man asked, surprised.
If the redhead entered the dungeon, especially without permission, the position of academy principal would imdiately fall into the hands of the current council president.
Even so, the girl had no other choice. There was a chance Davi was still alive sowhere down there, and she needed to save him. No, not just him, others might be alive too.
Why didn’t I do this earlier? Well, I probably wouldn’t have made a difference anyway, Morrigan thought, questioning herself again if she should have disobeyed the rules and gone into the rift with Alia.
Regardless, at that mont, she was certain Davi was necessary for the future. And he was likely fighting for his life at that very mont. That’s why she needed to go in and search for him.
"I know it’s a risky decision, but I have to go," she finally said after hesitating for a few more monts.
"Understood, I’ll prepare everything in just two hours."
With that, the secretary left, seeming determined to fulfill his duty. He was a good employee, loyal and diligent.
Morrigan’s gaze then turned to a drawing in her notebook. It was the sword Davi had asked her to repair.
At first, things were going well, but one of the parts she had asked another blacksmith to make ended up poorly crafted. In fact, it was this very event that made her feel she needed to enter the rift.
She wasn’t sure if she could trust the search team she had sent. They were supposed to be the best in Enki, but she knew the academy had declined significantly in recent years. Not to ntion the possibility of corruption.
Because of all this, she had temporarily set the project aside, but perhaps she could finish the work in the two hours before heading into the rift? It wouldn’t be easy, but it would be a good way to sharpen her skills before going into combat.
So, she sent a ssage to her secretary, letting him know where she would be. Then, she headed to the forge in her house.
The place was simple, with a large furnace to heat the tal when needed, as well as other useful tools.
With a nostalgic look, she began working with the forge. Despite the intense heat filling the room, she seed completely unfazed, as she was immune to heat.
It didn’t take long for her to complete an impeccable job. Then, right on ti, Morrigan heard her secretary’s call.
With everything ready to enter the rift, she left the rebuilt sword with her secretary and headed toward her objective.
She took one last breath and, without notifying anyone, entered the rift, determined to save those students.
anwhile, her secretary imdiately set out to fulfill the orders he had been given and went to Ember’s apartnt.
He rang the doorbell a few tis, but the girl didn’t answer. Fortunately, at that mont, Lara happened to be passing by.
"Who are you?" the girl asked with so concern.
The man quickly introduced himself as rely one of Morrigan’s secretaries. He quickly clarified that he wasn’t a threat or anything of the sort.
He was just an office worker and was terrified at the idea of upsetting a rank S student, especially seeing Lara’s size. Finally, he explained that he had to deliver a sword to the redhead.
"A sword..." Lara murmured, and then her eyes widened. "Let see that," she requested.
The man imdiately complied, and the girl instantly recognized the weapon. She took it from the man’s hands and forced her way into the house.
Since the previous day, when Ember discovered Davi might be in danger, she had locked herself in her ho. Lara intended to talk to her and would take the opportunity to deliver the object.

A few days before
The dim light of the cavern flickered as the group of students hid together, waiting for their mont to strike. They were following Davi’s order to hunt a monster.
The beast, a massive, snarling creature with jagged claws and glowing red eyes, lood before them, its growls echoing off the stone walls. But the monster’s Eyes were focused on Davi and Marc and another man who kept the monster distracted.
Then the beast roared as it fell into one of the traps they had set for it.
"Hao, now!" Davi commanded, his voice steady but urgent.
Hao nodded, his fingers tightening around the bowstring. He took a deep breath, steadied his aim, and let the first arrow fly. It whistled through the air and, just as the beast roared, shot straight into its open mouth, the poisoned tip sinking deep inside.
The creature roared in pain, but the other students reacted quickly, using their abilities to keep the beast in place.
However, before they could catch their breath, an even louder roar echoed through the cave as the beast’s partner charged into the fight.
Just then, a woman ca running toward Davi.
"Sorry, leader, we couldn’t contain him any further. He suddenly got furious and destroyed all our traps."
"It’s fine. Did you all make it out?"
"Yes," she replied.
Davi gently placed a hand on her shoulder before ordering her to take cover behind him. He then turned to Marc. "Make sure the injured monster stays down."
Davi wanted to avoid forcing Marc to summon his golem since that power could be useful later, but he didn’t have another choice.
"Leave it to ," Marc responded, invoking his golem.
With that settled, Davi shifted his attention to the monster charging straight toward them. Luckily, in the narrow cave, it had no choice but to run in a straight line, making it a perfect target, as long as they could stop it from reaching them.
"Hao, get ready to shoot," Davi ordered. Then, turning to the man beside him, he added, "Use the sa trick from last ti."
The man imdiately activated his wind blast. But he didn’t use it to attack. Instead, he combined it with his remodeled sword to produce an extrely loud sound, like a trumpet being violently blown.
The monster flinched for a mont at the noise. At the sa ti, another student took advantage of the beast’s distraction to strike its knee, causing it to collapse.
It roared in pain, creating the perfect opening they needed.
"Shoot," Davi ordered, sprinting toward the enemy at the sa ti.
Unfortunately, he had already used too much that day, and he also wanted to keep sothing for an ergency. So he had to rely on his regular athletic skills. But that would be enough.
Hao quickly nocked another arrow, his hands trembling even more this ti. The pressure was overwhelming. He released the second shot, but his aim wavered. The arrow struck the beast’s thick fur, failing to pierce through its hide.
The beast, now enraged, was able to get up again and lunged toward the group. The students scread, scrambling backward in panic. Davi’s plan was unraveling, and the situation was spiraling out of control.
"Davi, I’m sorry! I..." Hao stamred, his voice filled with guilt and fear.
"No ti for apologies!" Davi barked, his mind racing.
Then, he grabbed a spear from the ground, it was a weapon they had used early in the fight. Without hesitation, he dashed forward and activated getting a bust in his stats.
The beast swung a massive claw at him, but Davi ducked under the attack. He spun around, driving the spear into the creature’s side with all his strength.
The poisoned tip pierced through its thick hide, and the beast let out a final, guttural roar before collapsing to the ground, lifeless.
The cavern fell silent, save for the heavy breathing of the students. Davi stood over the beast, his chest rising and falling as he caught his breath. He turned to Hao, who was still frozen in place, his face pale with shock.
"Sorry," the boy said.
"You hit three out of the last five shots, that’s not too bad," Davi reassured him.
"But you need to relax and focus more, your mistake could’ve gotten us all killed," Marc added, his tone irritated.
Since Marc walked away right after, Davi saw no need to intervene. Instead, he imdiately headed toward the third hunting group, which was responsible for taking down the couple’s offspring.
Fortunately, they had done their job, eliminating the smaller monsters without using the poisoned weapons. Thanks to that, the group would have food, at least for the day.
The situation was dire, but over the past few days, the students had managed to leave their initial cave to hunt. And despite constantly teetering on the edge of death, Davi had kept everyone alive.
It was all thanks to his knowledge of the monsters on that floor and, more importantly, his creativity in utilizing everyone’s abilities in the best way possible.
Speaking of using abilities properly, once everything was settled and all the students had returned to the shelter, he slipped away into the shadows.
It was a bit risky, but he walked alone to a certain location they had discovered. Specifically, a spot where parts of the ground were beginning to crack.
The reason? There seed to be a large cavern beneath it, possibly a passageway leading to the lower floors.
Then Davi used a skill that hadn’t been useful to him in a long ti. But at that mont, being a [Digger] was just the perfect class for that.
