All I can hear is sudden shouting, almost like it is coming from Alia’s room. I hop out of bed and quickly run out my room, making my way towards hers.

It doesn’t take long for to open up her door to see what is going on in here.

The room is completely empty... It is just her sitting up on the bed with her arms wrapped around her legs.

I walk over to make sure she’s okay, taking note of everything in the room. Nothing seems to be out of place either so it could just be a bad dream or sothing.

"You okay Alia?" I ask softly.

She looks over at with genuine terror in her eyes.

"I just have nightmares every so often," She answers while calming down.

"That is definitely sothing I know about. I have them myself," I say.

"I just keep seeing the-" She stops herself before saying anything else.

"What?" I question with confusion in my voice.

"Nothing. I appreciate you checking on ," Alia responds as she gets out of bed.

I can’t expect her to tell about the nightmare when we aren’t really that close yet. Maybe on day I’ll be able to hear about hers and she can hear about mine.

Will it even matter?

Having relationships with people doesn’t feel like it is very smart in a world like ours nowadays. My normal mindset is finally starting to co back from the beginning of it all.

Don’t let people get too close... Then I won’t end up getting hurt all over again.

I have a goal that I can’t stray from no matter what, that is more important. At least for now it is definitely what matters most to .

"Anyway, I feel a lot better. We can practice a bit more," Alia says with so excitent.

"That sounds like a good idea. Let’s set-up the dummies again," I reply.

So with that we go back out to the main room and she waits while I get the dummies set-up. This ti around she might be able to take out more than one.

Like last ti I move out of the way and watch from the distance.

Her eye begins to glow while so of the light goes down along her arm to form the bow again. It also is a bright brighter than the last ti as well.

She fires off multiple arrows without wasting any ti, each one hitting the targets without fail.

Pierce! Pierce!!

At this rate I don’t think any dummies will be around for us to use if she keeps practicing against them. Her power burns around the hole that they leave every single ti.

aning that the person who gets hit is going to be in agony. Zierel probably won’t stand a chance when it cos to such a powerful weapon either.

Now if I can just figure out how to use my power... That would be perfect.

I look at each of the dummies to see where each shot hit.

Chest, Head, Head, Chest, and Lower abdon.

Every one of them are fatal shots with exit wounds that would kill any normal person. All of them have the sa burn marks as well which is interesting.

I look at Alia and notice she doesn’t even look tired in the slightest now.

"This now is kind of easy to use now. I probably just need my body to adjust more to the use of this power," Alia says while her eyes remain locked on the bow.

"I an you are really good with it. Each shot is definitely fatal to human or zierel, I think this is so good practice," I reply with so enthusiasm.

Wriggle. Wriggle.

Wriggle.

My eyes shift towards the sight of my arm to see why she’s moving around so much all of a sudden.

"Honestly she could be the one to kill you," The woman speaks up with a serious tone.

I’m not really too concerned about that right now since we are on the sa side. She doesn’t even have a reason to kill either.

"That’s what you think. She is half light bearer and you have zierel coursing through you," she responds with concern in her voice.

Honestly it just sounds like you are panicking because of another light bearer, if anything this is a good thing for . It ans I’ll have soone strong next to just in case shit gets worse.

I don’t know what it is like outside this city so having her until Airi can show up again... That is a big deal.

"Hopefully you are right," Her voice fades away.

The movent in my arm dies down as I look back up towards Alia.

She put the bow away and the light around her is completely gone. It also seems like she is done for the ti being, not that she looks tired.

"I think I’m good for now. I’ll be fine when we start to travel," Alia says with confidence.

"That’s what matters," I reply.

Afterwards we both take a seat while we wait for Airi to return from the hunt. It feels like ti is moving slowly for the first few hours... But then the door finally opens again.

The sound of footsteps inching towards us is all I can focus on until I hear her voice.

"I’m happy to see you both out here! It also looks like you have been busy," Airi says while taking notice of the dummies on the floor.

"I was learning how to use my power a bit," Alia responds softly.

"She really can use the light like you Airi," I chi in with a little bit of excitent.

"That is great news. It gives even more reasons to trust the two of you to start this journey on your own, or at least until I’m done with so personal stuff," Airi says with a smile.

Like last ti she has more stuff to deal with before she can even join us. I don’t really know what to think about it since I already knew she wasn’t coming along yet.

It just feels odd when she is assigned to or whatever.

I didn’t think she could just leave on my own all the ti, but it seems like it doesn’t matter after all. It’ll be fine either way.
