Wriggle. Wriggle. Wriggle.

The squirming around in my arm seems to be getting worse and worse.

A voice just said to kill them. Nobody in this class would just randomly say that so why the hell am I hearing so voice?

This is why I think I’m losing my mind.

Skree. Scratch.

I feel myself looking towards the board ahead where the woman writes sothing down.

"I hope you don’t think this will be an easy class. Our world is being consud with each mont that passes, let’s start. You may refer to as Miss Rose." She speaks with a clear and concise tone.

She doesn’t seem to be taking this lightly which is great, but I don’t feel obligated to be here for any of this. Sneaking out won’t be hard.

I was already writing stuff down on the paper in front of , a plan to get away from this all.

The only problem I have is this wriggling that keeps happening within my arm. It feels as if sothing is moving around underneath my skin and it isn’t pleasant.

It isn’t painful but I’d rather not feel it if the option was available.

"You there, what is your question?" Miss Rose asks while looking past .

"Is it really possible to bring our world back?" A family voice questions with curiosity.

I think the world is too far gone. Monsters roam the streets and people don’t all have it in them to fight. Even I just barely had it in at the ti that everything happened to .

It took a lot out of to even swing the damn rod at the Zierel. But now.... Because of that... My arm is f**ked forever.

Sooner or later I might even turn into one of those things. There’s so much that we don’t even understand about them. How they work or how this infection functions.

Why haven’t I turned into so Zierel myself?

"I believe it is possible. Light bearers are already working to bring back portions of the world we lost. I think we can assist them, maybe take so of the tension off of them." Miss Rose answers with confidence.

Murmurs were all I could hear around the classroom as they wait for more answers.

"Nobody has the real answers," I say quietly to myself.

"You don’t know that," Tess replies quietly.

I forgot she was sitting right next to so it isn’t hard for her to hear . I probably should’ve just kept that as a thought of mine instead but it slipped out.

"I didn’t an to say that out loud," I say while trying to keep my voice down.

"Anyway, let’s start. The power or magic you possess is very important and could make a real big difference. It also will be used to help determine your ranking within the class." Miss Rose speaks with a serious expression on her face.

Who really gives a damn about an academy trying to do any of this shit? It honestly feels like everyone is wasting their ti on this stupid place.

I didn’t even ask to be brought here but I guess that would’ve ant my death in my house. I might have preferred that if it ant that I would be with my family.

The class finally starts as I continue to feel Tess’s eyes lingering on , almost like she knows I won’t be sticking around. It was a lot like the first ti I saw her in the courtyard.

She seems to be keeping an eye on for so reason.

Skree. Clack. Skree.

"I’d like everyone to write down what they can do so that I can work on a list," Miss Rose says politely.

Within seconds I could just barely hear everything pick up their pencils. Probably already writing down what they can do with whatever they got from the awakening.

I look down at my paper and leave the pencil down on the table.

Honestly I don’t even know what I’m capable of doing since that strange light kept causing my arm to spaz out. Sothing about it is causing too many issues to be around.

I also ended up back in front of Tess as if I was never gone in the first place.

The voice that spoke to within that place sounded like a woman as well. My luck with eting won is pretty good right now, not that I need it.

Getting close to people might just cause a problem for again. I don’t have it in to lose more people that I care about.

I’m still struggling with their deaths...

"Then why are you acting like such a coward." A voice echoes once more.

"I’m not a coward." I whisper to myself.

Wriggle.

Imdiately a sharp pain jolts through my arm as I try to hold myself back from making any noise.

Grip.

I don’t hesitate to grab my arm and even tighten the grip as I struggle to hold back the pain. It feels as if the claw is tearing through my arm once again.

Black veins are slowly beginning to appear again, taking over my arm like the last ti I saw them. But this ti I could see sothing forming on my left hand.

It is almost like that claw is beginning to form.

Shit. Shit. Shit. What am I supposed to do about this? I didn’t really expect to see this happening right now of all tis.

Scratchhhh!

I drag my hand back as the claw leaves a mark across the table. But I just barely managed to get it under the table before Tess sees.

"Are you okay Liam?" Tess asks with so worry in her voice.

I can feel the pain intensify within my arm as I go to speak. "Y...Yes. perfectly fine." I manage to get out before releasing the grip on my arm.

This isn’t going to look good in a mont here. Everyone will think I’m one of those things and I will have an even harder ti slipping out of here.

What is the right move.... The pain is slowly becoming unbearable.
