"Hey! What happened to him? I can't feel any undulations in his soul….it's like his soul has frozen up!" Kalypso couldn't help but panic since Damien had completely stopped moving, his expression frozen. If she didn't know any better, she would have thought that his soul was destroyed and what was left behind was just an empty shell.
"It's Yohr's Origin Seed's self-defense chanism that got triggered…A soul manifestation from within. That sly, cunning thing was too cautious, but I didn't think that it would still get triggered if he willingly gave it. It seed as if he didn't even trust himself. What a bastard…" Luna had known about this chanism, but she didn't pay it any mind since she was going to make Yohr give it away 'willingly', but only now she realized that it was a mistake to not have taken the extra effort to save so energy.
"So you knew about it! You…" Kalypso felt anger seething through her nerves, but she knew now was not the ti to play the bla ga, and even if she did that, Luna would have a sound explanation for why she missed that.
"So how can we help him? Tell sothing!" She asked Luna for a direct solution to help Damien since as every second passed, it seed as if Damien's soul plane was becoming less and less active to the point she feared that his soul would go completely cold and dead soon if this continued.
"All we can do is wait…we can't interfere unless you want to destroy the only chance he has against fighting back against Yohr's soul manifestation," Luna said in a serious tone, though inwardly she wondered if Damien would be able to overco the soul manifestation of a True God.
In other words, Damien's soul would be, in a way facing off against the soul of Yohr, an embodint of himself.
"So…he is all alone again…" Kalypso mumbled in a sad and disappointed tone, making Luna briefly look at her, wondering why she ntioned 'again' and thought that she must have montarily rembered about her previous master.
She had no idea why but she felt bad seeing Kalypso's saddened look and said, "You don't have to worry…Even if Yohr's soul manifestation is inside Damien's soul, its soul power wouldn't be much higher than Damien's since it exists in Damien's soul plane right now and not his own. Self-defense chanisms are ant to get activated when sobody invades our souls. Only then would our soul manifestations would be able to fight back with full power. So it is not like sothing bad will definitely happen to Damien. He still has so chance if his soul is strong enough to overpower a true god's soul manifestation. That is the one and only challenge he has to overco."
Kalypso's expression slightly relaxed, feeling a bit reassured by Luna's words, and thought that this supre goddess indeed had her good monts.
Even if Luna seed calm on the outside and even tried to reassure Kalypso, inwardly, she had never felt more anxious. Even if Damien died now, she wouldn't disappear or have her soul dissipate away since she had recently rged with her second soul shard, granting her more ti to sustain herself even without a suitable soul plane to latch onto, though she would still have to wander and find a soul as perfect and suitable as Damien's to house her own soul.
But even if eventually she might be able to find one such soul, Luna still didn't want anything bad to happen to Damien since she felt as if her life wouldn't be the sa anymore without him. Strangely, she was learning so many things through this mortal and wanted to learn more and see why this mortal seed so interesting to her.
anwhile, inside Damien's soul plane, Yohr's soul manifestation was looking down at Damien's frozen soul body in contempt. Just like how one has a physical body, the soul has its own body as well, which soone like Damien can easily manifest within his soul or even converse with those staying inside his soul like Luna, Kalypso, and sotis even Valentina, just like in the real world.
But the soul body was not so fancy function, but the embodint of one's consciousness, and right now, Yohr was very close to freezing Damien's entire soul body, and if it was to get destroyed, then Damien could be technically considered dead.
"Ugh…this chilling pain…why can't I feel anything…" Damien was completely surrounded by darkness, and all he could feel was the sharp stinging sensation of coldness all over his body.
"No…Yohr…I can't let him kill …I have to get up…Damn!" Damien was feeling increasingly frustrated since he could feel that he was this close to having his entire soul body getting frozen and shattered.
With his iron will, he borrowed the power of his fire elental seed to warm himself up, which drastically slowed down the process of his soul body getting frozen up. But his fire elental seed was not even his dominant one. Thus it was not enough to completely stop Yohr's soul manifestation from freezing him up and could only slow him down.
"Haha, how long will you struggle like an ant? Give up while I am still kind," Yohr's sinister laugh echoed inside Damien's mind, making him grit his teeth in rage, feeling that even after his 'death', this fucker still was able to get to him like this.
Damien knew that the Yohr that spoke just now was not the true Yohr, but a re remnant ford out of his consciousness in the past. Still, it was a dangerous piece of a remnant that could destroy everything if it had its way.
"Wait a minute…my death essence should still be enveloping his Origin Seed…then his soul manifestation should also contain the sa…" Damien suddenly realized a fact, and the despair he was feeling imdiately disappeared as he called out in his mind, "Shackles of Death!"
