I stared hard at my information and realized that I was royally screwed.

For a mont, I totally forgot about the presence of Lily who was kneeling beside . My brainwashing process hadn’t been finalized on her, so she just kept looking at blankly—in utter confusion.

I was aware of the three Skills that ca with the ‘Knight’ Job he chose, and none of them actually resonated with the overpowering ability he had just displayed.
Not only did he completely resurrect, but his powers were also nothing like before, and if I didn’t have on, there was no guarantee that I would even be alive at the mont.
Whatever abilities he displayed were too overpowered to be called a Skill—especially when we were still in the beginning phase. Even Gifts weren’t as bizarre as this.
To have multiple overpowered phenona occurring simultaneously… that was unreasonable!

Sothing about the golden energy resonated with . It felt so familiar, like I had seen it before. Other than the strange sense of affinity with the energy, it also commanded a great deal of fear and reverence from it.
I almost couldn’t even recognize that the one who was within the light was Daniel until he got so close—even though I had an extrely sharp vision.
My senses would have picked him up and registered him as Daniel, but the one I sensed on the penthouse—the strange being that destroyed the Camp building and charged at … he only looked like Daniel and sounded like him.

“A-arh… y-you’re hurting …” A shrill voice ca from the ground, and I sharply turned to see who spoke.
It was Lily.
She had snapped from her daze and was now staring at expectantly and with a tinge of fear in her eyes. Apparently, my violent movents had sohow caused her a bit of hurt.
“Ah, I see…” I murmured, moving close to her.
As my eyes watched her, I slowly began to calm down. The gentle expression she had, and the oblivious smile plastered on her face as she looked at awkwardly lted all my anxieties—well, so of them.
“I’m sorry, Lily,” I whispered, drawing closer to her.
‘That’s right. There’s no need to overthink this… I’ll figure this out as I go…’ My thoughts trailed as I caressed the girl’s cheeks with my hand, feeling the softness and smoothness of her skin.
No matter, I had already killed Daniel and gotten rid of my current adversaries. All that was left would be to secure a bit more (G) Karma Points to Level Up my [Subspace], see if I could find any more Grade 2 Boss Monsters, and gain more loot.

No, this feeling was different from the golden light. It didn’t feel as familiar, but the oppressive feeling they both commanded was similar.
The light from earlier carried a more overwhelming force, but this… this feeling I currently had as whatever being who was behind erged was completely terrifying!
