"How old is he, even? Why is he so tall?"
"Isn’t he... embarrassed?"
The answer was no. Gary felt no sha at all—in fact, he doubled down.
"The wrath of the Baby Monarch is rciless," he whispered while clutching his chest, "And my only power—no. And I am burdened with the strength of a million suns. Chieftain Arika!"
He pointed at the other class’s instructor, "Choose my opponent—but be very aware that no matter who you choose, they will only et the sa fate as all those who ca before them... under my foot!"
"Oh my," Chieftain Arika smiled, her wrinkles turning deeper as she looked at Gary, "You don’t need to rush , child. I still have a few years in ."
"Well, how about fourteen more years in you?" Gary smirked.
Chieftain Arika was completely confused by his words. Everyone was—it was really only Bella and Hannah who got what he ant, and they all quickly stared at him in disbelief.
"What the fuck is wrong with him..." Hannah shook her head
"Oh no..." Bella found it amusing.
"I... don’t get it?" Pauline narrowed her eyes. Victoria and Tomoe also turned their heads to Hannah and Bella.
"You... don’t need to get it," Hannah waved them off. Unfortunately for them, they probably would never get the chance to get it, as Chieftain Arika finally chose Gary’s opponent...
...and it was one of Hannah’s old classmates. The girl introduced her superhero na, but Gary completely ignored it and still called her—
"Common Thug No. 4," Gary pointed at his opponent, "It would seem that fate is now allowing to take revenge for my girlfriend."
"What the fuck?" Hannah raised an eyebrow.
Gary’s opponent stared at him for a mont before also pointing back at him.
"What did you call ?!" Common Thug No. 4 said, "I already introduced my superhero na! And it’s—"
"Irrelevant."
And before Common Thug No. 4 said her chosen na again, Gary suddenly appeared in front of her—and without even giving her any ti to react at all, he punched her square in the stomach.
She flew backward, rolling across the ground before crashing into a wall.
"Khh—!" Blood splattered from her mouth. As she tried to recover, a red glow flashed from Gary’s eyes—a laser beam, wild and unrelenting.
He had the very sa set of abilities as Silvie, but much... wilder in nature. More volatile.
Common Thug No. 4 covered her face instinctively to shield herself from Gary’s relentless attack, but she didn’t need to at all as Chieftain Arika stood in front of her—her wings that were made of energy, blocking the beam violently pouring out from Gary’s eyes.
"I think that’s a little too excessive, child." Chieftain Arika sighed, "Retract this at once."
Gary, however, seed to be completely in a trance—the beam from his eyes not weakening at all. He was showing his teeth, and his lips seed to tremble in manic delight.
"Child, I said stop it!" But as Chieftain Arika scread at him, his expression quickly changed, and a gasp escaped his lips.
"I..." He muttered.
Gary tried to cover his eyes, only for him to let out another scream as the beam burned his palm.
"Argh!" He removed his hands, and before the beam could spiral out of control, Chieftain Arika appeared right in front of him and placed a hand over his eyes, gently cradling the back of his head.
"Calm down." She whispered, but the beam coming from his eyes was still not letting up at all—and upon seeing that Gary was in pain, Chieftain Arika could not help but sigh... before punching him right in the stomach.
"Gh..." The beam from Gary’s eyes faded away instantly as he lost consciousness. Chieftain Arika caught him in her arms, and she glanced at Spectacular Mustache Man, who sighed and shook his head in response as he approached her.
"This is... him, huh?" Chieftain Arika whispered as she handed Gary to Spectacular Mustache Man like he was a sack of flour.
"Yes," and Spectacular Mustache Man once again sighed as he grabbed Gary from her, "All the problematic students are in my class. Should we still continue?"
"Of course," Chieftain Arika smirked, "We can’t stop now."
The mock battle continued, and all the students soon realized one thing: all the mbers of the Baby Crew are monsters.
"My na is Bella Jackson," Bella stepped forward while making a tal ball rotate around her—the very sa ball that Riley created during the entrance demonstration, "Aight, for now, y’all gon’ know as Baby Bell. I picked it ’cause it sound fly, feel ?"
Well, Baby Bell completely toyed with her opponent. She didn’t really use the tal ball at all and hid it back in her pocket. She did, however, pin all of her opponent’s limbs with a tal rod, and then wrapped his head with a sheet of tal—all of them found on the ground.
"My na is Tomoe Reynolds. I have no interest in becoming a hero, so I didn’t choose a na."
Their newest mber, Tomoe, also did sothing similar—completely encasing her opponent in a crystal cage, and only removing seconds before they suffocate.
As for Victoria...
"My na is V," she introduced herself with her superhero na imdiately, "I... didn’t really choose my na, it just... stuck after a while. But... but I guess I’m... B-b... Baby V now."
Everyone started whispering to each other as she stepped forward. They all knew who she was, the protege of the Hope Guild, and would be part of it once she graduated from the Academy.
The students of Chieftain Arika’s class all looked at each other, wondering who her opponent would be. They all turned their eyes at Silvie, but she had already fought Riley—there was no one there who would be her opponent.
Chieftain Arika noticed this, and a small smirk crept on her face as she stepped forward.
"Hello, V," she said.
"...You wouldn’t mind if I were your opponent, would you?"
