139: Chapter 43 Spider Web System 139: Chapter 43 Spider Web System Alfred, the newly appointed Court Strategic Advisor to the King of Thessalonica and a trusted confidant of Bernifax himself.

As a forr Norman pirate who had also studied at the Holy Solomon Empire’s military academy, Alfred possessed both the cunning instincts of a Norman pirate and a mastery of various Divine Luo style tactics and strategies.

Therefore, with the intrusion of the Mage Assassin and their continued evasion of capture, Bernifax entrusted the command of the Personal Guard directly to Alfred, while he hurriedly left the stronghold, escorted by guards to return to Thessalonica.

“The enemy’s strengths and weaknesses are both quite clear,” Alfred said, standing before a sand table in the command building, where the terrain and distribution of buildings in the town had been roughly modeled.

“The arcane ability of flas, as well as control abilities similar to mind, desire, or dream, make this assassin almost impossible to deal with in a one-on-one situation.”

“However, she evidently lacks the defensive ans to cope with large-scale attacks, otherwise she wouldn’t need to skulk about, hunting down our stationed knights—she would have just co at us directly.”

“That is to say, as long as everyone avoids acting alone, the enemy will have no opportunity to strike.”

“All teams involved in the search, with a minimum unit of one Power Armor Knight and two Knight Followers, will conduct a clockwise search centered on this building.

I have already set all the routes, and you must strictly follow this information to arrange the patrol routes.”

“Every minute, all teams must report their current location and progress of the search.

If any unexpected situations are encountered, report it imdiately.”

“Understood!” The knights saluted in unison.

Quickly, the patrol routes of the knights within the stronghold changed, spreading like an open spider web—seemingly disordered but secretly lethal.

“A change in commander?

All maintaining group actions?” From behind the wall, dusa watched the fully-ard knight squads pass by cautiously and read the information from their surface consciousness.

“Then, let see what progress you’ve made,” she muttered, silently manipulating their desires.

As the Knight Team pressed forward, one of the Knight Followers suddenly felt a stiffness in his neck and turned his head, rolling his neck bones.

The instant he locked eyes with dusa, his Mind Body was instantly dominated, and his limbs acted as if uncontrolled; he grabbed the asbestos cloth on the armor of the adjacent knight and yanked it down with force.

The action was so sudden and unexpected that the knight and the other follower were taken aback.

In the next mont, huge flas engulfed the Power Armor.

Inside the rapidly heating steel armor, the knight’s flesh was almost instantly charred.

The remaining two Knight Followers turned on each other, then were easily ignited by the flas thrown by dusa.

“That’s all there is to it,” dusa said with a cold laugh, watching the two Knight Followers struggling in the flas.

“What, I’m exposed?” she suddenly muttered to herself doubtfully, “dea, my fla manipulation is very precise; they never managed to send any signal from start to finish…”

dusa quickly entered a nearby building and saw two teams simultaneously appearing on both sides of the street, running towards the burning bodies.

“Body found in sector G15, currently on fire.” They seed to be communicating with the command center via wireless devices.

“Yes, imdiately search according to the latest route.”

dusa, watching from behind the shop window, saw the two knight squads outside: one remained in place to monitor the entire street, while the other team began searching the nearby buildings.

So she headed towards the back of the store, intending to escape through the back door, while communicating with dea through her Mind Body:

“How was I exposed?”

“Do you say it was because I killed these Knights?”

Leaving the building through the back door, she suddenly found dozens of Mind Bodies approaching from her Mind Vision, and quickly ducked behind a pile of garbage.

“The enemy has employed a communication channel to set up a defense system like a spider web, where each patrol squad is like a spider on the web, maintaining regular contact with the commander.”

“As soon as I kill one of the spiders, the whole web is instantly alerted, and all nearby little spiders begin to gather in this direction.”

“This undoubtedly makes my concealnt far more difficult, and escaping unscathed from the encirclent requires avoiding killing any patrol squads.”

“Otherwise, each successful slaughter is in fact revealing and refreshing my location.”

“However, my abilities must be built upon the pain and suffering caused by killing.”

“Understood, dea.

It seems that the only way to break out is to destroy the entire patrol system.”

She watched as squads of Knights hurried past outside, quietly activated her Mind Power, and quickly browsed through their superficial thoughts.

“I see, so killing their commander will do the job, right?”

Ten minutes later, dusa had quietly avoided several patrol teams and crept close to the Crusader’s command center.

It was a quaint two-story villa, complete with a delicate garden and swimming pool.

At the entrance, two fully ard Knights stood guard, while Crusaders constantly moved in and out.

From a distance, dea could see two n talking on the second-floor balcony of the villa.

It seed there were more shadows moving in the bedroom behind the balcony.

She took a deep breath and began to harness her overwhelming Fla Ability.

Seconds later, a stream of blue fla shot from hundreds of ters away towards the heavily guarded two-story garden villa.

The flas first washed over the front gate, lting and burning through it in less than half a second, then rushed into the ground floor hall with terrifying force.

With the movents of the Caster’s hands, the Fla Flow swept through like a giant python, lting and vaporizing everything in its path—whether it was furniture or the concrete walls—in the dreadful high-temperature flas.

In just a few seconds, the load-bearing walls and columns on the ground floor were utterly destroyed, causing the floor above to collapse, plunging all the victims inside into the burning inferno below.

“Such abundant pain and suffering!” dusa clutched her cheeks, intoxicated, “There must be at least twenty people inside, their screams and wails in the flas are continuously replenishing my power…”

The next second, her complexion turned deathly pale.

A massive wave of unconcealed malice swept towards her from all directions.
