"Information spreads very fast on the internet these days. I’m just saying." Mylo shrugged casually, as if he wasn’t detonating a bomb in the middle of the living room.
If there was anyone Marcus De Rossi despised more than Dante, it was Mylo. Dante was predictable—stubborn, bold, foolishly loyal. But Mylo? Mylo was a storm without a forecast. He had never been present enough in Mylo’s life to predict his behavior, what he would say, or how far he was willing to go.
And that was exactly why Mylo terrified him.
He wasn’t sure what his younger son was talking about. He wasn’t even sure if Mylo was joking, bluffing, or purposely trying to rattle him.
"You can upload any video you want," Marcus said dismissively. "I’ll just get it deleted off the face of the internet."
Rhea’s eyes shimred with tears as she stared at Mylo. Fear clung to her. Fear that she might be dragged back into the hell she had just escaped. Her hands trembled, her breathing shallow.
"Who said anything about a video?" Mylo lifted his phone, tapping the screen. "I’m starting a live." Before anyone could react, he turned the screen toward them. "And... you’re live," he announced with a bright grin. "Would you look at that? Five hundred viewers already."
Instantly, Marcus’s grip disappeared from Rhea’s wrist. She bolted, stumbling toward Dante and hiding behind him like he was her shield.
"Stop that. Right now." Mr. De Rossi’s voice cracked in a way Dante had never heard.
"Why should I stop?" Mylo asked innocently. "The world deserves front-row seats to our little family reunion. Sha Mom isn’t here. We can add her later. Ooh—1.5k viewers now. They’re asking why you ca with ard n. Should I tell them?"
"Fine. I’ll leave," Marcus spat. "But this is NOT the end. You two must have grown imaginary wings overnight. But rember—" he jabbed a finger in Dante’s direction "—I will be the one to cut them."
He stord out of the mansion, his n scrambling after him like nervous shadows.
Silence followed, thick and suffocating.
Dante turned to Mylo. "Did you really start a livestream?"
"You think I’m joking?" Mylo angled the phone so Dante could see the exploding comnts and view count. Then he tapped the screen again and ended it. "I wanted it to be fake at first, but honestly..." he grinned, wicked and satisfied, "why not tell the world how cruel and rusted that old hag is?"
Dante couldn’t deny it—Mylo was right. Exposing Marcus publicly was the only way to shut him down.
The next week was far from peaceful—especially for Marcus De Rossi.
Dante executed his plan with ruthless precision. First, he leaked images of Marcus’s illegal dealings, his smuggling operations, drug routes, black-market money transfers, even kill lists scribbled with nas the public recognized.
Then ca the bombshell; Marcus De Rossi was behind the disappearances of multiple civilians.
The revelation shook Lexora to its core.
People had whispered about missing teenagers... workers who vanished without explanation... low-inco families who reported their sons never ca ho from their night shifts.
It turned out he was involved in human trafficking and was using them as a source of extra cash.
Of course, Marcus couldn’t have done it alone. Dante made sure the world knew that too.
Using his connections, he hacked into Unity Tower’s CCTV archives. Every conversation, every bribe, every late-night eting—all recorded. One by one, the corrupted politicians’ faces appeared online.
Lexora beca too small to contain them.
Officials fled the city, running for their lives. And Dante made sure to reveal one more devastating truth; Eva’s disappearance wasn’t an accident.
Marcus had attempted to permanently erase her existence.
Eva’s fans erupted. Within hours, they organized protests demanding Marcus’s arrest. Hundreds turned into thousands until the streets pulsed with anger and neon protest boards.
anwhile, Dante sent a chilling warning to every dia agency in the city—If they deleted anything, he would expose them as collaborators.
The agencies didn’t need to be told twice. So had already received bribes from Marcus, but Dante offered sothing stronger—protection. They knew Marcus would retaliate by threatening their families. Dante’s threat was simpler but scarier.
And so the truth stayed up.
Marcus De Rossi found himself trapped inside his mansion. He couldn’t even step outside—the youth stood across his gates in a raging sea of fury. His security guards struggled to keep them back, but the crowd grew by the hour.
"What are we going to do now?" Mrs. De Rossi cried, pacing the floor relentlessly. "The guards won’t hold them for long. You know what happens once they get past the entrance!"
"Can you stop moving and let think?!" Marcus roared.
She flinched, shrinking back. His voice cut through her like a blade.
"This is all your fault!" he spat. "If you’d talked to those sons of yours—if you’d controlled them—this wouldn’t be happening!"
Three days earlier, Marcus had swallowed his pride and gone to his wife, begging her to convince Dante to back off.
She had tried.
But Dante was done being manipulated.
Marcus wasn’t stupid. Out of all the officials involved, Dante was the most dangerous. Dante knew everything—the inner workings of the empire Marcus had built on blood, deceit, and fear. It would take only a few keystrokes from Dante to dismantle everything.
That was why he’d kept Rhea hidden all these years. But now? Nothing could stop Dante. Not even his mother.
Fueled by rage, Marcus snatched his phone and dialed a number.
Across Lexora...
Eva pushed open the glass door of a small ice cream shop. The mont she stepped inside, sweet, mouthwatering scents wrapped around her—vanilla, chocolate, caral, sothing fruity. Her shoulders relaxed for the first ti in days.
It had been a long, draining week—photoshoots, interviews, endless press conferences. The dia had been relentless, desperate to confirm if the circulating information about Marcus De Rossi was true.
She confird everything.
Even now, she kept her cap low over her face to avoid attention as she approached the counter.
"Chocolate ice cream, please," she said politely.
The worker blinked, mouth parting then snapping shut. They stared at her, clearly wondering if she was the Eva or just soone who looked like her.
Eva kept her head down.
Then a shadow fell over her.
A tall shadow suddenly lood over her. She turned.
"Dante..." she breathed.
His eyes were already locked on hers.
