Chapter 1702: Chapter 1643: Sothing’s Off

Chapter 1643: Sothing Strange

“Well…” President ng forced a smile. Even he seed a bit unsettled at this mont, his mind racing as he refused to believe such a situation.

He was no stranger to the rules of booking private rooms here. He even had experiences where he reserved rooms but couldn’t co to dine, yet he had never encountered such treatnt himself.

“Haha…” President ng chuckled dryly and said, “This matter is really too bizarre; I don’t even know how to comnt on it. However, since the hotel arranged things this way, they must have their reasons. You should just enjoy it with peace of mind.”

His gaze once again swept over Song Xiaodong and his two companions, yet he couldn’t discern anything extraordinary from their deanor. More importantly, even the sons of high-ranking officials in the province might not have such status in this hotel, so he genuinely doubted these three had any significant background.

After toasting, President ng didn’t leave. He deliberately chatted with Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou about company matters, trying to see if there were any hidden elents here.

But after a while, he could see that Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou were completely unaware, as if their ability to dine here was solely due to the hotel’s unreasonable explanation.

There must be other reasons, possibly ones even Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou weren’t aware of. This was the conclusion President ng reached.

President ng felt that he should now cultivate a closer relationship with Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou. Smiling, he said, “By the way, CEO Wang, President Liu, there’s a business mixer in Kun City tomorrow afternoon. Are you thinking of attending?”

“A mixer? Can we attend?” Wang Cong’s eyes lit up imdiately. They had always wanted to connect with Kun City’s business circle, but due to unfamiliar surroundings, their connections were currently very limited. Participating in a large-scale mixer would be imnsely helpful for their social network.

President ng said, “Of course you can. I’ll bring you inside, and you might et more people as well. To develop in Kun City, you won’t get far without good connections.”

Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou agreed repeatedly. They felt President ng was exceptionally approachable today, totally unlike his previous enigmatic self.

Song Xiaodong glanced at President ng, sensing this guy to be quite clever. If Wang Cong cooperated with him, it might be a good choice, and they wouldn’t have to leverage Dragon Gate’s connections for collaboration.

If there’s a chance for profit, Dragon Gate would also seize it. However, Dragon Gate must maintain its mystique, and so industries are better left unexplored. This shared economy industry appears promising, but Song Xiaodong isn’t very interested.

Naturally, President ng couldn’t stay long. After more than ten minutes, he ca out of Room One and stopped Wang Cong and Liu Caiyou from seeing him off.

“President ng!” A man stepped out from a room across from Room Three; it wasn’t a private room but seed to be a workroom where service staff rested when not attending to guests.

Upon seeing the man, President ng was delighted and said, “Manager Hu.”

This Manager Hu’s na was Hu Pingan, a rather ordinary na. He looked average and was in his forties, yet he was a descendant of Dragon Gate. He had seen Song Xiaodong the previous day, which led to this arrangent today.

“Let’s chat inside! I have so things I really don’t understand.”

Hu Pingan, spotting President ng coming out of Room One, was a bit puzzled and wanted to ask him what was going on,

so he pulled President ng into the adjoining workroom.

President ng lowered his voice and said, “Manager Hu, what’s up with Room One?”

Hu Pingan feigned confusion and said, “What do you an, ‘what’s up’?”

President ng said sowhat nervously, “That room is practically off-limits, right? Why were people dining there today? Who arranged it?”

“I arranged it.” Hu Pingan casually replied.

“You did?” President ng stared at Hu Pingan, but the man’s calm expression left him quite befuddled. He asked, “Are they very important guests?”

“Not really,” Hu Pingan smiled faintly. “It was just a coincidence. The reservation for Room One had a banquet booked for today, the dishes were prepared, but the VIPs couldn’t make it due to last-minute issues. Since they had already paid, and the dishes were ready, wasting them seed pointless. So, when those guests booked the room, you ended up with their spot. I just took advantage of the situation.”

“Seriously? Co on, don’t ss with !” President ng widened his eyes, staring intently at Hu Pingan.

Though Hu Pingan was just an ordinary descendant of Dragon Gate, he couldn’t be compared to typical individuals. Coupled with years of work on the outside, concealing his true thoughts ca effortlessly. President ng would never be able to uncover it. Hu Pingan smiled faintly and said, “Why would I trick you? Actually, I intended for you to dine in that room, but President Kang insisted on your current room, so that’s how it ended up.”

“Damn, you an we were originally supposed to eat in that room.”

Hu Pingan nodded and said, “Yeah, and everything would have been free of charge.”
