"I do not need them thank you." Nora looked at Amyra and then at the door. The aning was clear that Amyra frowned.
"Why? You are not playing a sweet girl anymore?" Amyra let go of her pretense when Nora spoke to her coldly.
"You are taking wrong!" Amyra wanted to scoff at the hypocrisy but the next line made her red with rage. "I only pretend in front of people I need. You are not worth it."
"You!" Amyra had never been insulted like this in her life. "Apologize! Or I will.."
"Five hundred dollars." Before Amyra could think of an excuse or threat, Nora spoke impatiently. Amyra frowned but then her face relaxed and she laughed with ridicule in her eyes.
"So if I pay you five hundred dollars, you would apologize to ." as she was asking, she already took out five hundred dollars from her pocket and threw it toward Nora. she did not hand them over politely to insult her further. But Nora caught the notes before they could fall.
She counted them and then nodded. "Sorry!"
"Hey! You did not an it." The sorry was so dry and cold that it held no value. For so reason, Amyra felt cheated.
Nora paused, she looked at Amyra as if she was a fool. The piercing gaze made Amyra frown and insecure at the sa ti. She raised her head high as if it would stop her from shivering. How could a young girl’s aura be so strong?
"Who apologizes sincerely in exchange for money? This is all what you get, now leave. I have to study." Nora walked forward and held the door open for Amyra. Amyra’s hands clenched into a fist. She had the plan ready. As long as Nora would take the notes or they were found in her room, she would send authorities and Nora would be accused of cheating and theft too.
But the girl is too cold and smart. If this plan failed, she might win the competition. She does not care what she wins, but she must not win Alric’s attention.
"Nora.."
"Your plan is written all over your face. So, you do not need to waste your breath, miss Ainston. I do not know what enmity you hold against , but I will charge you for staying in my room, if you do not leave right now." this girl! Amyra’s chest hurt from rage.
"You are shaless and greedy!" Amyra spat with anger but Nora just shrugged.
"I have been told." Nora nodded, "at least I am honest to my feelings. What about you miss Ainston?" That was enough. If she stayed there longer, she was going to kill this girl.
Amyra left the room with a red face and burning eyes. The desire to kill was so strong that the guests looked at her strangely as she passed them. Her face did not have its usual elegance.
The mont she reached her room, she threw the vase near the door on the ground. But it only fanned her anger. She pushed the stool too. It created a screeching sound but did not fall.
"That bitch! That lowly wench who cared about nothing but money dared to challenge ." Her voice was so cold and hard that she wanted to tear Nora apart.
Heaving, she found her phone from the ss and dialled a number.
"I have a task for you."
"....."
...
Nora grinned at the notes in her hands. This girl was a walking ATM. all you need to do is to irritate her and she would give you all the money she had.
Laughing, she kept the money aside and started studying again when her phone rang. She hesitated looking at the number.
"Hello.."
"You need to keep your distance from Amyra. She had marked you as her enemy." Nora wanted to laugh over it.
"I know that. And it is because of you. I have already completed my deal king sir. And I have enough on my plate. Why do I need to deal with your ss? Could you not tell your girlfriend that our etings were professional only and there is nothing going on between us." the other side went silent.
Nora closed her eyes. She realized she was brutally cold and honest when it ca to this guy. For so reason, she was not able to get rid of her rage around her. Though he had done nothing but help her again and again.
"Listen.." she took a deep breath. "Do not marry her. You both will ruin each other." in the past, he had not only killed her but his kids too. She did not know the reason but with such a wife, she could bla him. But kids.. Too!
"I am not marrying anyone. Forget it! Have you prepared for the exam? I have so important notes that would help you." She knew that Alric did not take her warning seriously. But she did not persist.
"You can email them to . My boyfriend is calling, I will talk to you later." she cut the call and sighed. Victor’s na was already flashing on her screen. She stared at it for a long ti but she did not pick it up.
The screen slowly dimd and showed a missed call. Her eyes kept staring at the screen. A girl should wait for her lover’s call. She should feel restless but why does it feel like a duty when she looks at his phone?
She shook her head. It must be Amyra. The screen lit again and his na showed.
"Hello."
"I have missed you." Victor whispered softly, "did you reach safely? How is the university? Do not feel much pressure. You would do much better. Did you have dinner?" She softly smiled.
"Hmm, I have..." how long it had been when she finally cut the call. It was already midnight but she did not feel sleepy at all. She stared at the small pool outside her window and left the room.
The cold breeze made her breath again. But she was not alone there. A pair of eyes stared at her with darkness looming into them.
