The doctor frowned while Alric's eyes narrowed on the bed. The sound was coming from the other side.
"Please do not drown . I.. i will behave from now" this ti the voice was clear that everyone could hear what she said. The quivering of the voice and the pain and fear of the speaker was so clear that it left a shiver to the listener.
The doctor was the first to run toward the source. Alric followed only to see a girl shaking on the ground. Her eyes were closed, her body was curled into a ball and she was screaming to spare her.
Her face was covered with cold sweat. As if she was fighting a nightmare. Penny's eyes widened hearing her screams. David was no better.
He knew these n were trouble but he still let them in because he was sure that Nora would not speak anything against him. But who would have thought.
The doctor crouched on the ground and touched her but Nora flinched as if she was scalded.
"Penny.. No mistress, i.. I will be good." she was quivering and begging for rcy making the doctor sigh.
Alric looked at Penny who was sitting dumbfounded on the bed. They have already noticed her torn dress and the mark of a belt on her skin. They were raw and red, freshly made. It had only been hours since she was beaten looking at the fresh scab forming on the wounds.
"So she is treated well?" Alric's lips arced into a mocking smile. He raised his head and looked at David as if he was a criminal.
Sha burnt his face and he shot a look at his daughter accusingly. Penny flinched. She was still dizzy with everything around her.
"Wait! I have done nothing. She is only acting to bla ." she defended herself as she finally let go of her covers and stood up. Her extra sultry night gown would have made any n to weak to his knees.
She is young, beautiful and raw like a fresh piece of fruit. Who would not fall in love with her? She bit her lips looking aggrieved. She didn't know who Alric was. But he was not a young man in the end. All n were weak when it ca to her.
With that thought, she blinked her eyes to get his attention. But he did not look at her. Alric's eyes were on Nora only.
He picked up a glass of water and sprinkled so on Nora's face using his fingers. The mont water touched her skin, she flinched like she had been electrocuted. Where words failed, her expressions said it all.
"Help ." the doctor whispered with a sigh. And Alirc bent to pick up Nora from the ground. She winced as if she was in too much pain.
His eyes closely scanned the belt marks. When he picked her up, he found the belt on the corner of the bed. His eyes narrowed on the belt. Filling with a cold layer of frost that dropped the temperature of the room.
Even breathing felt effortful in the room. David noticed the marks too and sighed. He had told the pair of mother and daughter to leave Nora until she felt better. But they just could not listen to him.
He glared at his daughter only to find her staring at the man. He shook his head and ca forward.
"That is it. What kind of organization do you say you are from again?" he spat with anger bubbling in. "I think you have already interfered in our life. This is our private matter. It would be better that you leave my house now or I have to call the police?" he spoke in a voice full of dominance with confidence in his eyes.
Who would not be scared of the police. He was sure they would take a step back but Also did not even turn to look at him as if a dog was barking in the background.
The doctor spared him a glance and then sat on the corner of the bed to check the young girl. David, who enjoys a good position in business and house. He was habitual of people circling around him and getting all the attention.
When he was ignored this badly, he felt insulted. He gritted his teeth and pressed the bell. The sound echoed in the room and two servants entered the room in a few seconds.
"Take both of them out. They are tressping in my property." he announced in a cold voice looking at the doctor who frowned.
But he still held the pulse of Nora and his expression went ugly.
"No wonder she is still unconscious. The beating had raised her temperature. They did not give her the dicines i have written and she had not eaten anything too. Her fever is getting worse. If it reached her brain, she might go into a coma." he sighed, feeling guilty that he had wasted yesterday. If he would have returned on ti, the girl would not have suffered this much.
"What do you suggest then?" The doctor looked agitated but Alric spoke in a blank voice. He looked at Nora as if she was nothing but an object that needed his attention.
"We should take her to the hospital where she would read without being worried." Alric nodded but before he could hold her two servants blocked his way.
"Sir, it would be better that you leave the villa on your own. If not.." the servants warned with David looking at them arrogantly.
"Do you even know who you are talking to?" The doctor ca forward with a glare on his face but Alric stopped him from speaking.
"If not.. What if I don't listen to you?"
