"Whoa! Not playing by the rules." The boy was dumbfounded.

Yao ng snickered.

But soon, she couldn’t laugh anymore.

Her ice spike wall was sliced in half, shattering ice all over the ground.

A girl shouted, "Hurry, get over here!"

Yao ng looked carefully and saw two sharp daggers floating in the air.

She pursed her lips and shouted loudly too, "Group A, water guns, go."

Group B’s regular students imdiately raised their water guns and started spraying at the students racing over.

The dense water streams blocked Group A students’ view.

A boy, unable to see ahead because water got in his eyes, accidentally fell off the narrow bridge.

"Well done."

"Group Two, water balloons ready, throw—"

Under the dense attack of water guns and water balloons, the regular students on the narrow bridge fell one after another, leaving only two or three struggling to hold on.

One student, to avoid falling, lay down on the bridge hugging the bridge body.

Taking advantage, Yao ng and the water ability students unleashed their powers again, blocking the rushing Group B students at the bridge’s midsection once more.

Seeing the water wall was ineffective, they covered most of the narrow bridge with a layer of ice.

One poured water, one laid ice, even creating a slope, making it extrely tricky.

Group A students were fuming, glaring daggers.

"Fire elent, earth elent, anyone? Clear the way up front—"

Fortunately, these obstacle setups were fireproof and waterproof, and durable, or half would be damaged by now.

Both sides were stuck at the first obstacle. As Group A’s superpower students forced their way through, Group B’s water ammo ran low, allowing more students to pass the [Raging Narrow Bridge] obstacle.

The second obstacle, called [Leap Over the Iron Chains], required Group A students to swing forward holding onto chains, crossing a 200-ter sand pit.

Group B’s guarding superpower student loudly reminded, "Electrified, be careful of getting shocked."

"Oh man... Zhang Yongchang, can’t you be decent!"

The yelling student and the superpower student across were schoolmates.

Zhang Yongchang chuckled provocatively, "Sun Thief, if you’ve got the guts, co over and beat ."

"You little rascal, wait for your dad to kick your butt."

The two joked about each other’s elders, while their teammates began strategizing.

"It’s electrified, we need insulators. Object control, earth elent, both can work. By the way, who can fly?"

"Not possible, they have water guns, water conducts electricity, very risky." Soone noticed the students wielding water guns beside the obstacle, quite worried.

The group continued brainstorming.

Between the first and second obstacles, there was a short buffer zone.

Stepping onto it, they wouldn’t be attacked, but once they started, defenders would inevitably use props and superpowers.

"I’ll build a stone wall to block water from the water guns, Brother Ming’s object control can block a wave of water balloons. Also, for water elent, try diverting the water. Then earth elent, wood elent, and other control abilities, create insulators to wrap the chains."

"But 200 ters is too long, my superpower can’t cover that."

"Then do it in sections, get a few students across first."

The leading superpower students divided the area they were responsible for and started passing the regular students charging through the obstacles.

No one raised objections or competed for order during this process.

The unity shown by the students surprised the teachers outside the field.

The competition rules included individual scoring, the quicker the students were to pass, the more points they might earn.

The schools they represented would also earn more points.

Principal Zhang was sowhat moved, "These students are acting so united."

Ji Ning appeared calm, "Competing now is useless. The core of this event is to score for regular students. No matter which school it is, regular students are the majority. It may seem like it pits students against each other internally, but it prevents the gifted from being selfish to the greatest extent. They must go all out to help other schools’ regular students pass quickly to score more points."

"But what if a student doesn’t realize this?" Principal Zhang handed a bag of chips to Ji Ning.

She took the chips, shook them, tore open the bag, and poured a handful into her mouth. Only after swallowing contentedly did she answer Principal Zhang’s question.

"Then they won’t get a single point. With 6 events, relying on one person can’t get them to the end."

"Speed superpower users can’t do it either?"

"Nope."

Ji Ning answered without hesitation.

As if to prove Ji Ning’s point, a speed superpower student attempted to dash across the S-shaped narrow bridge.

Only to slip off due to dense water guns and sudden ice patches on the bridge.

Speed superpower users may run fast, but they need footing. If there’s an issue with footing, it’s easy to "crash."

Watching students fall in dramatic ways and return to the starting point, the teachers and students in the audience felt tense yet couldn’t help but want to laugh.

This event wasn’t for all schools to send everyone; only 82 students participated, 41 in each group.

Very few managed to pass each course at once, and with defenders being ruthless, the entire queue stretched long, with so gaps in between.

The forefront had already reached the third obstacle, while the last was still waiting outside the first.

Bai Xiaotang was currently waiting outside the first obstacle.

She had just stepped onto the narrow bridge when her recently bonded bestie, Yao ng, sent her off the bridge with an ice slide.

She was so annoyed she wanted to shout about ending their friendship, but realizing defenders earned 1 individual point per blocked student, she cald. After all, those points were for Anhe Middle School.

On her second attempt over the narrow bridge, she went with a wood elent superpower student.

He said he’d use his ability to help her over.

She was quite looking forward to it.

Once on the narrow bridge, the wood elent student wrapped her with sothing vine-like and tossed her like a shot put.

"Ah—"

Bai Xiaotang turned pale with fright.

But it was thrillingly safe; the vine expanded quickly, catching her on the other side, letting her safely land on the buffer zone.

Yao ng was so shocked her mouth hung open, her ice dagger staying in her hand.

If she had thrown it, Bai Xiaotang’s parabolic trajectory would have turned into a free fall.

The wood elent student flung himself over the sa way, landing effortlessly beside Bai Xiaotang, even striking a pose, asking with a smile, "Not scared, right?"

Bai Xiaotang gulped, stood up, and punched her fist toward the distant Yao ng, "Thanks, Sister ng, for sparing my life."

Yao ng almost burst into laughter.

Wood elent student: ...

Their thod inspired other Group A students.

Superpower students used their abilities to swiftly help regular students cross the narrow bridge.

This was a quick thod, but it consud superpowers rapidly, allowing few students across at a ti.

Ultimately, they reverted to the initial tactic, where superpower students defended against chanisms and abilities, letting regular students advance quickly.

Finally, just as both sides were about to switch roles, two Group A regular students planted two small flags on Group B’s high ground.

The superpower students escorting them were soaked from head to toe by Group B’s water attacks, their black quick-drying suits clinging, faintly revealing the muscles beneath.

The regular students were touched and in awe, almost whistling.

But they didn’t get to whistle, the referee did.

"Pheeew—"

"Hurry, hurry, grab the gear, I must redeem myself."

"Which Sun Thief was shooting at grandpa’s belly button?"

"Step forward..."
