Chapter 266: Chapter 266: Choose Me or Choose Him 5
Leona Grant’s expression was ice-cold as he watched the pair before him, a united front ready to live or die for each other.
"Annabelle Linton! Leaving your husband at home all alone to play the deeply devoted couple with another man. You’ve got some serious nerve! Since when were you so impressive? Huh?!"
Annabelle Linton looked at him, then walked right past him while supporting Aaron Wyatt, as if he were a complete stranger.
Her action infuriated Leona Grant. He yanked Annabelle Linton back, kicked Aaron Wyatt to the ground, and gripped her chin, his expression as cold as ice.
He roared, "What did I just hear? You like him? My own wife likes another man? Huh? Annabelle Linton, how could you fucking do this to me? Huh?!"
Seeing the worry on her face, a sharp, intense pang of pain shot through Leona Grant’s heart.
’Ian Chase said she made one last call when she was kidnapped. That call was to Aaron Wyatt, wasn’t it?’
’The first person you think of when you’re in danger is usually the most important person in your life. For her, that’s Aaron Wyatt, isn’t it?’
’Damn it, then what does that make me?!’
Leona Grant was dying inside, but his words were laced with venom. "Do you have any idea how worried I was when you were kidnapped? I risked my life to come save you, and this is what I get to see?! You have a husband, yet you’re still messing around with other men. Annabelle Linton, are you that shameless?!"
"Leona Grant, just piss off!"
Annabelle Linton shoved him away with a hard kick and knelt by Aaron Wyatt’s side. Seeing him start to cough up blood, her eyes flashed with a dangerous light. "Are you fucking done yet? Don’t you know you’re going to kill him?!"
"I’m going to kill him?"
Leona Grant stared at her with a sinister expression, then pulled out a gun and pointed it coldly at Aaron Wyatt. "Daring to steal a woman from me, Leona Grant... You think I won’t just end him with a single shot?!"
Annabelle Linton’s heart leaped in alarm. She immediately spread her arms to shield Aaron Wyatt. "Leona Grant, if you want to kill someone, come after me! If you dare to touch him, I swear I’ll never let you get away with it!"
"Oh, trying to scare me, are you?" Leona Grant’s lips twisted into a smile that was as alluring as it was lethal, but his eyes were filled with chilling intent.
The words that left his lips were casual, but a moment later, a sinister glint flashed in his eyes.
BANG!
Without so much as a blink, he shot Aaron Wyatt in the arm.
Aaron Wyatt passed out from the pain.
Annabelle Linton completely snapped. She strode forward and slapped him hard across the face. "Leona Grant, what right do you have to treat him like this? I told you, if you want to kill someone, come for me! Why did you have to shoot him?!"
Leona Grant grabbed her hand, roaring, "Because you’re my woman, Annabelle Linton! I won’t allow you to have another man on your mind! Because I like you too, and that means I absolutely will not allow you to like anyone else! Do you understand me?"
"Yes, that’s right! I’ve fallen for you, Annabelle Linton! And that’s why I won’t let any man who dares to dream of having you exist in this world and threaten my place. Killing him is the only way to be sure. You belong to me and me alone!"
As he spoke, paramedics reached them. They quickly loaded Aaron Wyatt onto a stretcher and rushed him toward the ambulance.
"Shameless! Disgusting!"
Annabelle Linton ignored his words, violently wrenching her hand free. Her mind was focused only on Aaron Wyatt’s injuries as she hurried to run after the paramedics.
But she had barely taken two steps before Leona Grant grabbed her again, his face a mask of fury. "Annabelle Linton, I want an answer, right now. Between the two of us, is it me or him?"
Annabelle Linton looked at him and let out a cold laugh. The smile that touched her lips was full of a cold, cruel charm. It was a sarcastic laugh, a knife that relentlessly twisted in his heart, shattering it to pieces.
For the first time, Leona Grant felt a surge of panic.
He was afraid of the answer he was about to hear.
