"Delicious, so delicious."
Selim’s cooking skills are excellent, and Laura Jones didn’t exaggerate one bit.
Halfway through eating, Laura Jones said:
"You ca to my house as a guest and had to get up early to make breakfast for . I feel bad about it."
"It’s nothing. I don’t have a habit of sleeping in. I don’t have anything to do once I’m awake anyway. Besides, you’ve taken in, so I should do sothing to repay you and feel at ease."
Laura Jones was worried that her friend might feel burdened staying here for a long ti, so she didn’t stop her from helping out a bit, so she could feel comfortable at ho.
After breakfast, Laura Jones headed off to school, while Selim stayed at ho to write.
The Jones Family were scholarly geniuses handed down through generations. For Laura Jones, the school courses were a breeze, leaving her more ti for writing.
After school, like usual, she waited by the roadside for a bus. A red sports car halted in front of her, driven by her classmate Hannah Taylor, who had recently transferred.
The school buzzed with rumors that Hannah’s father had donated two buildings to the school to get Hannah into Alaska’s renowned institution.
"Laura Jones, heading ho? Hop in, I’ll give you a ride."
Hannah had a kind of enchanting beauty. Had it been ancient tis, she would have had the potential of being a favored consort commanding intrigue in the palace.
At the mont, she wore light makeup, her black hair cascading to her waist, and she had on a black satin blouse, buttoned unevenly, revealing her elegant collarbones like a butterfly.
Below, a pair of tight jeans, with flat black short boots.
The red Ferrari combined with black made her even more striking and stunning.
Hannah was popular among the guys, which led to the girls strongly disliking her.
They thought she only got into Chicago University because of her family’s wealth, not her ability.
They frequently murmured about her behind the scenes.
They also said she looked too alluring, claiming she was a natural Fox Spirit.
Laura Jones usually didn’t engage in such discussions about people’s appearances and refrained from talking about Hannah.
Hannah didn’t like getting close to the girls in class either, but instead mingled with the boys, who were willing to hang out with her.
A girl with a good personality and beauty seamlessly fit in with the boys, making the girls in the class dislike Hannah even more.
Seeing Hannah park her car in front of her, Laura Jones was sowhat surprised.
She knew the girls in their class didn’t like Hannah, but Hannah equally didn’t like the girls.
"Where are you headed? I’ll give you a ride."
"I live in Cloud Thunder. Will it be too much trouble for you?"
Laura Jones didn’t refuse Hannah but smiled and asked.
"You live in Cloud Thunder?"
Hannah waved at her and said:
"Get in, we live close. I live next door at Cloudy Splendor Community."
Since it was so convenient, Laura Jones naturally wouldn’t reject the offer.
"Thank you, then."
Speaking, she opened the door and got in the car without hesitation.
Hannah gave her a glance, and while driving, laughed:
"I thought you wouldn’t want to get in."
"Why wouldn’t I? You’re on the way, right?"
Laura Jones’s straightforwardness left Hannah unsure how to respond.
All she heard was Hannah’s light chuckle, saying:
"You know our class’s girls. They can’t attract guys themselves, so they envy those who do. They brag about getting into Chicago University on their rits, when really it’s just to show off their pathetic sense of superiority in front of us."
