Olivia lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling an overwhelming sense of unease.

Now, her only security was the child in her womb.

She gently placed her hand on her still-flat stomach, her eyes filled with a hint of bewildernt.

"You better be Thomas’s child."

Thomas swallowed his anger as he went downstairs, determined that if the servants dared to show disrespect, he wouldn’t tolerate it.

If worst cos to worst, he’d leave the Smith Family; he didn’t believe that with his abilities and education, he couldn’t provide a good life for his wife and child.

Carrying this resolve, he went downstairs with a stern face. Seeing his father and Helen lendy still sitting in the living room having lunch, he coldly bypassed them and went straight to the kitchen, intending to instruct them to specially prepare a maternity al for Olivia.

But before he could speak, a servant had already handed him the breakfast that was previously prepared, "Second Young Master, this is for Miss Olivia."

Thomas looked at the breakfast in front of him, stunned.

The servant said again:

"There are two pregnant won in the house, and madam had prepare two servings this morning."

Thomas’s face burned fiercely.

Before coming, he had been furious and ready for an argunt, only to find out it was his own small-mindedness.

Taking the breakfast from the servant’s hand in a daze, he felt quite ashad. After muttering a low thank you, he headed upstairs with his head bowed.

Charles Smith glanced towards the upstairs, snorted coldly, and said to his daughter, who was silently eating breakfast across from him:

"Was your brother just about to co down and argue?"

Helen lendy pressed her lips into a smile and nodded.

When Edward Smith got ho from work, the matter of Thomas demanding shares from Charles that morning had already reached his ears.

When he first heard about it, he knew his foolish brother had been instigated by Olivia.

He chuckled, but an icy glint flickered in his eyes.

That troublemaking woman shouldn’t stay long.

Olivia spent the whole day hiding in her room, too afraid to co out.

But Thomas’s mood improved sowhat after that breakfast in the morning.

To him, it wasn’t just that the mother prepared a serving for Helen lendy, indicating she also cared about the child Olivia was carrying.

It was simply that she was provoked by them, which made her say those harsh words.

His mother had always been soone with a hard exterior but soft-hearted.

So, when it was alti, and the servant ca to call them down for dinner and Olivia didn’t want to go, he gently persuaded:

"Olivia, this morning’s incident was indeed because we were too impatient, which upset Dad. If we don’t go down for dinner, they might think we’re being stubborn."

His tone remained very gentle, without a hint of impatience.

But from his tone, Olivia sensed his understanding towards his parents, and her brows furrowed in displeasure as she sat up from the bed.

"Second Brother, do you think I’m just being a child? I honestly can’t eat. Just the sight of fish and at makes nauseous."

Saying this, her eyes reddened with a hint of grievance.

"Do you think that breakfast was specially made for ? It was made in excess for Helen lendy, so they shared it with ."

She cried sadly, "If Mom really cared about , she would have made a separate breakfast according to my preferences, not based on Helen lendy’s tastes."
