When she reached this point, she lowered her gaze sowhat sadly and said:

"Our Richards Clan doesn’t hold a high status in Boston. We haven’t had the honor of receiving an invitation from the Smith Family, but my cousin, I really want to celebrate your birthday."

She looked at Helen lendy with hopeful eyes, waiting for her to ntion giving her an invitation.

Helen lendy wasn’t so foolish as to not understand Shannon Richards’ intentions.

"You haven’t received an invitation from the Smith Family?"

"Yes, yes, we haven’t received one."

Shannon Richards’ eyes lit up, along with a hint of nervousness.

Seeing Helen lendy sigh with slight regret, she said:

"Oh, that’s a sha. It’s just that your Richards Clan is so useless, not worthy of my parents’ attention. If you really want to celebrate my birthday, just bless silently in your heart."

Shannon Richards’ expression went from rigid to disbelief.

She never imagined that after humbling herself to speak to this cripple, not only did this person not feel flattered, but even directly mocked their clan’s uselessness.

Not a word about sending an invitation to her.

She looked at Helen lendy with dissatisfaction in her eyes, seeing that Helen didn’t even give her half a glance, and she felt her annoyance deepen.

But she didn’t show it on her face, instead, she forced a smile and said:

"Cous... cousin, how could you say such a thing."

Helen lendy looked at her with feigned ignorance and said:

"Oh? What did I say that was wrong?"

Those innocent eyes seed to genuinely not understand how harsh and unpleasant her words had been.

Shannon Richards held back her anger, lowered her eyes, and pursed her lips, looking quite aggrieved. She said:

"Although the Richards Clan isn’t in a good situation right now, it’s also because my aunt annoyed my cousin..."

Helen lendy seed to consider her words seriously, and then nodded thoughtfully, saying:

"What you say makes sense."

Shannon Richards thought Helen lendy would then talk about the invitation, but after saying this, she didn’t continue the conversation.

Instead, she reclined on a lounge chair and closed her eyes to rest.

Seeing that Helen lendy was ignoring her like this made Shannon Richards feel even more resentnt.

Why is it that this bitch is the legitimate daughter of the Smith Family? Even if it were a stray cat on the street, a fallen woman, she wouldn’t feel this unbalanced if the Smith Family had taken her in.

She couldn’t have imagined that one day she’d have to be at the whim of this little bitch Helen lendy.

Shannon Richards gritted her teeth in hatred, but rembering the purpose of her visit, she held back from offending Helen lendy.

If she beca Helen lendy’s sister-in-law in the future, what would a little sister-in-law amount to?

To return to the Smith Family, it would require the nod from her sister-in-law.

Before coming to find Helen lendy, Shannon Richards had already planned how to create opportunities for Edward Smith to notice her. Now, what’s missing is an invitation to Helen lendy’s birthday party.

She had no chance of getting in touch with the Smith Family, so she could only start with Helen lendy.

But seeing that Helen lendy still wasn’t inclined to pay attention to her, Shannon Richards grew anxious and put her pride aside, saying:

"Cousin, on your birthday, can I go with you to the Smith Family? Mr. Smith and Madam Smith are your parents. As your younger cousin sister, it’s a bit inappropriate not to visit."

She found herself a perfect reason, figuring that after hearing such a request, it would be unreasonable for Helen lendy to refuse.
