Capítulo 1958: Chapter 1958: Sumr Hall Side Story (160)

Leo Hall raised an eyebrow and looked at Edward Smith, his eyes glimring with anticipation.

Edward furrowed his brows, remained silent for a long mont, then spoke:

“All these herbs were taken by Thomas Smith.”

Leo snapped his fingers at him, raised his thumb, and said:

“You guessed it.”

Ever since Leo had given him that analysis report, claiming it was from Thomas, Edward hadn’t doubted it.

Only because he lacked sufficient evidence, did he hold onto a shred of hope for Thomas out of brotherly affection.

But now, with Leo tossing a piece of evidence in front of him, Edward could no longer deceive himself with blind kindness.

Putting away the analysis report that Leo gave him, he said to Leo:

“Leave this matter to to handle.”

He hesitated for a mont and couldn’t help but advise, “No need to tell your big brother about this.”

Leo raised an eyebrow, leaned back lazily, and said:

“I told you from the start, Thomas is a brainless waste, and you wouldn’t admit it, look now…”

Speaking, he spread his hands helplessly towards Edward, and added:

“Doing bad deeds without knowing to destroy evidence, had it been soone else, they would have destroyed whatever evidence should have been left when taking the materials.”

Leo’s words didn’t anger Edward but instead made him think elsewhere.

Thomas, a person with low emotional intelligence, not good at socializing, but that doesn’t an he has no intellect.

If he intended to use the drug to harm Helen, he surely would have found a way to destroy the records, rather than blatantly sign his na.

Which ans, at the ti he might have genuinely intended to research the drug, not to harm Helen.

Yet, thus far, he hasn’t brought it to the company agenda, discussing its use or mass production.

Moreover, research for a drug targeting a specific illness requires long-term developnt, but this drug was made quickly by Thomas, evidently on impulse, not targeting any specific illness.

Purely just to cause harm.

The only optimistic thought is that the research failed, used by soone with ill intentions.

But this explanation is too strained, almost impossible.

Why would Thomas poison Helen?

Or rather, who used Thomas to poison Helen?

Edward’s eyes carried a hint of danger, slowly narrowing.

Olivia Smith.

“I will give Helen an explanation about this matter, no need to discuss it in front of your big brother.”

He glanced at Leo Hall, reiterating firmly.

Leo Hall looked at Edward Smith with a playful expression, saying:

“Didn’t expect you to be afraid of my big brother?”

He leaned closer to Edward, scrutinizingly, and said:

“Isn’t it usually the brother-in-law giving the husband a hard ti?”

Leo would never admit his odd pleasure, wanting soone to check his overconfident big brother.

Edward also wanted to give his brother-in-law a tough ti, enjoying the perks of being a brother-in-law.

But his sister had only recently been reclaid by the family, and to her, Harry Hall, her husband, was more affectionate than he, as her brother. How could he dare to give Harry a hard ti?

Now, his bigger worry is, if Harry knows the drug originated from Thomas, he might directly make Helen stay away from the Smith Family.
