"Don’t worry, no matter when, I will always choose you first."
Her answer indeed pleased Harry Hall.
It made him even more energetic while making dinner.
After dinner, and only after cleaning up the kitchen, did Harry Hall return Edward Smith’s call.
By then, four to five hours had already passed since Edward made that call.
In New Horse, it was now past eight in the evening.
Usually, at this ti, the five mbers of this family are each doing their own things, and it’s rare for them to sit in the living room together.
However, because they all harbored their own concerns, the atmosphere was sowhat strange.
Except for Olivia Smith and Thomas Smith, the other three were all hoping for Harry Hall to give an early answer and tell them that Helen lendy was willing to et them.
In Olivia’s heart, she was hoping that Helen would refuse to et, or even directly refuse to acknowledge them.
But she knew that was impossible.
Anyone who knew they were the eldest daughter of the Smith Family, a billionaire heiress, would eagerly co to be recognized; they couldn’t possibly refuse.
Just at that mont, Edward Smith’s phone rang.
In an atmosphere so oppressively silent, it ca across as particularly abrupt.
Everyone’s eyes fell on Edward, and seeing it was Harry Hall calling, a gleam quickly flashed in his eyes, but he pretended to be calm while answering the call, though his hand quietly gripped the phone tighter.
The hearts of the others rose along with his.
"CEO Hall, how did it go? Did Helen agree to et us?"
Though Edward’s voice seed steady, there was an almost undetectable hint of anxiety.
Even he likely never expected that a man as cold and reserved as himself for decades would be so nervous about reuniting with his sister that he would tremble sowhat.
After hearing Harry Hall’s response, the tight lines on Edward’s face relaxed into a slight, joyful curve.
He usually had little expression, so even this slight curve was quite noticeable to those around him.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith’s faces also relaxed, while Thomas and Olivia felt their hearts sink with disappointnt.
Evelyn Taylor tightly grabbed Edward’s hand, urgently saying,
"Edward, did your sister say when she’d be willing to et us, so we can arrange to go quickly."
In New Horse, applying for a private flight route isn’t difficult, especially for a family like the Smiths; applying for a route takes just an hour or two.
Edward glanced at the ti and said,
"It’s very late in Greece now. Tomorrow’s the weekend, so we’ll head over early in the morning."
"Okay, okay, that’s settled then."
Evelyn appeared both nervous and happy, grabbing Charles Smith’s hand and frantically saying,
"Should we bring so gifts for Helen? Isn’t there a lot of treasures in your collection? Hurry and pick so to send to our son-in-law, and... and, I have that sapphire necklace you bought for last year in my private vault. I’ll go get it to bring to Helen."
As she spoke, she looked at Edward again, instructing,
"Edward, it’s our first official eting with your sister, you should also prepare gifts. Right, didn’t you develop so top-notch properties? Give your sister a few passes, let her choose any house in the world, and... and..."
Edward was amused by his mother’s nervous manner, and because of the reunion with his sister, he was in a good mood, which added more expressions to his usually stoic face.
