Helen lendy was woken up by a piercing scream.

Despite the room having good soundproofing, it couldn’t block out the hysterical yelling of Leanne Richards.

She pressed her temples, which were throbbing slightly, listening to Leanne’s sharp cries calling Harry Hall’s na, and felt a bit irritable.

Raising her eyes to look at the unfamiliar ceiling above her, she was dazed for a long ti, unable to recognize where she was.

She stared at the ceiling intently, and gradually, her mory began to return.

She had been pulled down the stairs by Leanne, and then...

At that mont, the room’s door was pushed open.

Helen lendy looked up and saw a cold man walk in from outside, expressionless.

Seeing her staring at him with open eyes, his previously gloomy face imdiately lit up with a hint of joy.

He briskly walked to Helen lendy’s side, happily sitting down next to her, with no trace of the coldness he had when he had just entered.

"Honey, you’re awake. Are you still feeling unwell anywhere?"

Helen lendy didn’t answer imdiately, just looked at his worried appearance and smiled helplessly, "I’m fine. When did you get back?"

Outside, Leanne’s cries and curses were still audible.

Harry Hall was clearly her own son, yet she could curse him with all sorts of vicious and outrageous terms.

Listening with growing anger, Helen lendy noticed Harry was completely unconcerned, just gazing at her joyfully, leaving her a bit helpless.

"I ca back last night, but at that ti, you were unconscious..."

Harry paused at this point, a hint of guilt in his eyes as he looked at her.

"I’m sorry, sweetheart."

Helen lendy looked at him helplessly, "Why are you apologizing to out of the blue? You didn’t fly overseas to et other won, did you?"

"Of course not!"

Looking into Helen lendy’s scrutinizing eyes, Harry quickly denied.

"Then why are you apologizing?"

Helen lendy raised an eyebrow at her.

Harry knew she was comforting him in this way, feeling both pained and helpless.

He reached out to gently stroke the top of her head, his voice deepening, "I shouldn’t have left you at ho alone. I didn’t take good care of you, that’s why you got hurt."

Helen lendy looked at him, sighed helplessly, and said:

"I insisted on staying, what does it have to do with you? Besides, I’m an adult now, you can’t watch over all the ti."

Recalling last night’s events, Helen lendy felt a bit angry as well.

Leanne Richards simply turned her view of life upside down.

She really hadn’t seen anyone as odd as Leanne.

Oh, wait, there is soone comparable to Leanne.

Elly’s mother-in-law, Irene Thompson.

She and Elly are truly best friends, both encountering such bizarre mothers-in-law.

Seeing that the remorse on Harry’s face hadn’t faded, and the endless curses from Leanne outside continued unabated.

She spoke up:

"At this mont, I can’t help but think of soone."

"Hmm? Who did you think of?"

"Adam Jones."

Hearing this, Harry furrowed his brows with a hint of jealousy, "Why suddenly think of him?"

Although he knew his wife had no connection with his brother, hearing her think of another man at this ti made Harry’s heart swell with jealousy.

Helen lendy was amused by his expression, cupped Harry’s face with both hands, deliberately applying more strength.
