Elly Campbell obediently nodded, not wanting Adam Jones to worry too much about her, so she quietly lay back down on the bed.

Recalling the incident of falling down the escalator this ti, the sensation of stiffness in her legs at that mont was much clearer than the previous two tis.

Ever since Leo Hall gave her that potion to drink, it had been over two months without any episodes. She thought the drug had truly suppressed the symptoms, but unexpectedly, this ti the reaction was more intense than ever before.

Adam isn’t a fool; if he checks the surveillance at that ti, he’ll see sothing’s off. How should she explain it to him?

Should she tell him nothing, like before?

But clearly, this ti it couldn’t be hidden from him. If she doesn’t tell him, will he be even more worried?

Elly furrowed her brows, her face showing a hint of distress.

After Adam Jones went out to call Jenna Clark, when he returned to the ward, he happened to run into the person he was about to look for at the elevator.

"How is sister-in-law?"

Leo Hall didn’t overlook the flash of fierceness in Adam Jones’s eyes, but he wasn’t afraid and only asked with concern.

Adam Jones did not answer his question but asked a different one:

"Do you know what happened to Elly?"

"I know."

Leo Hall nodded without a mont’s hesitation.

Adam Jones looked at him coldly, suppressing the anger in his heart, and after a mont, he said:

"Is it related to you?"

"It is. I administered a newly developed drug to her."

Leo Hall didn’t hide anything and told Adam Jones directly what happened to Elly Campbell.

The mont he finished speaking, he was t with a solid punch from Adam Jones.

Leo Hall couldn’t dodge in ti, and the corner of his mouth was imdiately bloodied by Adam’s blow.

He smiled slightly but didn’t retaliate. The next second, his collar was seized by Adam Jones again, but the raised fist did not land again.

Finally, Adam pulled back his fist and released Leo Hall’s collar.

He pinched the bridge of his nose with so frustration, looking at Leo Hall’s indifferent deanor, realizing for the first ti that even with power and influence, he had no ans against soone like Leo Hall.

"What do you really want? Do you have a way to cure Elly’s poison? What do you want, the Jones company, or all my assets, I can give them to you."

Hearing this, Leo Hall laughed and said:

"What you say is exactly what my brother used to say. But I’m not interested in any of that. Money, you can’t take it with you in life or death, so why do I need so much of it?"

It is precisely because Leo Hall is such an unyielding, impenetrable person that makes Adam Jones feel helpless.

He knows all too well how difficult it is to deal with soone like Leo Hall, who desires nothing and has no weaknesses.

"So, what do you want?"

He thought Leo Hall would make so difficult demand, but instead, he just shook his head, "I can’t think of anything right now, but maybe soday, I will."

Soday?

The anger Adam Jones had barely suppressed surged up again.

Can Elly’s current condition wait for "maybe soday"?

He was about to speak angrily, but then Leo Hall handed him a small bottle containing a brown liquid, saying:

"This is sothing I just formulated a few days ago, give it to sister-in-law to drink."

Adam Jones paused, looking at what Leo Hall offered him, but he did not reach out to take it.
