Johnson Fefferman smiled, not answering.
“That day at the South Garden Hotel, I found your drugged incident quite suspicious. Although Charles Stevenson and others are lecherous, they’re not brainless. They know whom they can toy with and whom they cannot. Even if one person doesn’t know, it doesn’t an everyone present is unaware.”

Johnson Fefferman nodded, completely unafraid to admit it, taking another puff of his cigarette.

Johnson Fefferman nodded again, a slight smile on his face.

Without fearing him, Johnson Fefferman continued, “I just didn’t expect she would trust you so much. Whatever you say, she believes.”
“So you deliberately brought up that day’s matter in front of her again.”
Adam Jones said in a steady tone.
Johnson Fefferman silently acquiesced.
There was a mont of silence between the two.
When the last bit of her cigarette burned out, she finally spoke:
“I know, after what happened to that night, you would definitely settle accounts with those few people, the Stevenson Family, the Brown Clan, the Gresia Family, the Churchill Clan. Though they may not asure up to the Jones, if you provoke them too far, they will unite. Even if it’s a desperate gamble, it’s better than waiting idly for death.”
“By then, you would only mutually suffer with them, and by that ti, the Campbell would have enough trouble of its own and wouldn’t care about you.”
Johnson Fefferman spoke about his original plan.
This coincided with what Adam Jones had thought.
“When Jones fell into trouble, I could take the opportunity to intervene. A marriage between the Jones Family and the Fefferman Family would go further.”
