"Alright."

Johnson Fefferman nodded, listening to Elly Campbell continue:

"What would you like to eat? I’ll have Adam go buy sothing."

"Anything is fine, I don’t have much of an appetite."

Elly didn’t ask further, walked outside, and sure enough, Adam Jones was standing in the corridor outside the ward. Seeing her co out, he walked over.

He glanced inside the door and said, "Is she alright now?"

"There shouldn’t be any problems, but she was probably scared last night and doesn’t really want to stay in the hospital."

Adam Jones’s eyes revealed a slight change when he heard Elly’s words, then he nodded.

"Since she doesn’t want to stay, there’s no need to force her. Are you guys hungry? I’ll go get so breakfast for you."

"Okay, you decide what to get."

Adam nodded and left, after which Elly returned to the ward.

Johnson Fefferman was sitting on the hospital bed, looking a bit restless, and seed to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Elly walked over and gently hugged her, "It’s alright now. Adam will take care of it, don’t worry."

Johnson nodded, her face a bit pale, "Sister-in-law..."

She hesitated, as if what she was about to say was difficult to articulate.

"What’s wrong?"

Johnson hesitated for a mont, gritted her teeth, and said, "Can we keep what happened yesterday from others?"

Elly was taken aback, then smiled and said:

"Of course not, why would I talk about such things?"

Johnson nodded, seeming a bit relieved, and looked at Elly with gratitude, saying:

"In situations like this, even though I’m the victim, there’s always victim-blaming in society. Ultimately, it will impact the most."

At this, Johnson’s eyes reddened, "Yesterday I was careless, I followed a group of n into a private room alone. If this gets out, people will say I deliberately seduced them, and getting drugged is my own fault."

At this point, Johnson’s emotions started to beco agitated.

Elly understood well that society often includes scum who like to bla the victim, absolving the perpetrator.

When disaster doesn’t happen to them, they’ll never empathize.

Nowadays, the internet allows them to hide behind screens as keyboard warriors without any legal responsibility, using online harassnt to push victims to despair.

"A lot of people know my identity, and if it gets out that I’ve been drugged, Auston’s stock price will definitely fall. Now, there are quite a few people in the family eyeing my mother’s position, and if this gets out, they’ll definitely use it against my mother."

Elly nodded, fully understanding Johnson’s concerns.

Family dynamics and corporate infighting in large families aren’t less than those in ancient imperial courts.

Just like in the Campbell Family, when it reached grandpa’s generation, because he was the only son of the great-grandfather, his cousins tried to sche against him to take away his inheritance.

At that ti, grandpa joined the army and rose to a position of power, and those people only cald down because they feared him.

The struggles within the Fefferman Family are surely more intense than in the Campbell Family.

Lisa Fefferman beca the Head of a century-old wealthy family as a woman, it’s expected that many were dissatisfied.

If it weren’t for Lisa’s exceptional skills, she probably would have been brought down by those people long ago.
