Not long after she ca in, Adam Jones also entered.
"Have you told Grandma?"
"Yes, I have."
Adam sat down beside her, "Grandma said you haven’t had dinner yet. What would you like to eat? I’ll get it for you."
"Anything’s fine, I’m not really hungry."
Adam nodded, "Okay, wait for a bit, I’ll be right back."
After leaving the hospital building, Adam picked up his phone and dialed a number; the person on the other end answered quickly.
"Chief Moore, isn’t there sothing you should tell about the situation in the private room tonight?"
Adam’s voice was deep and cold, carrying a strong and silent pressure with each word.
...
When Johnson Fefferman woke up, it was already the next day.
She saw Adam and Elly Campbell sleeping on the big bed beside her.
This was a top-tier VIP room, with all the facilities designed like a ho.
The bed for the family to accompany was two ters wide, yet Adam and Elly Campbell were still so close to each other, as if squeezed into a one-ter wide bed.
Johnson stared at them for a while before she withdrew her gaze.
As if afraid to wake them, she moved lightly while getting up to go to the bathroom, forgetting that her hand still had a needle stuck in it.
After a few steps, the needle was directly pulled from the back of her hand, causing her to cry out in pain instinctively.
This commotion also awoke the two people on the bed next to her.
Elly first opened her eyes and saw Johnson’s face contorted in pain, her brows furrowed, hand covering the needle-stuck back of her hand, since she hadn’t been careful while walking, the needle was directly pulled from her arm.
Quite a bit of blood was flowing out.
Elly quickly got up, went over.
"Don’t move, let see."
Elly lifted her hand, glanced at it, frowning slightly.
The needle had been pulled out, but because it was taped with dical adhesive, pulling it out had injured the puncture site, causing quite a bit of bleeding.
Elly helped her remove the dical tape, then used the alcohol swabs nearby to wipe away the blood on her hand and disinfected the wound, before reattaching it properly.
Then, she checked the drip bottle, only a third was left.
"You need to use the restroom?"
Feeling sowhat embarrassed, Johnson nodded.
"I’ll go in with you."
"Thank you, sis."
Elly gave her a smile and took down the dicine bottle from the stand.
Adam was awake by now, naturally not intending to stay in bed.
Sleeping in the sa room with three people was a bit awkward for him; if it wasn’t for his wife’s insistence to stay and guard here, he wouldn’t want to remain here either.
After getting out of bed, he left the ward directly.
When Elly and Johnson ca out, seeing Adam wasn’t in the room, it wasn’t surprising.
Though Johnson felt a bit awkward, she turned to Elly, and said:
"Sis, I’m really sorry to trouble you and Adam for keeping watch here overnight."
"It’s nothing, leaving you here alone, we wouldn’t be at ease."
Seeing her complexion had improved a lot, Elly’s heart also relaxed, "How do you feel? Feeling better now?"
"Yes, it’s all fine now."
Johnson glanced at the wall clock, it was past seven in the morning.
"Sis, can I be discharged now? I don’t want to stay in the hospital."
Elly thought about what Johnson had gone through yesterday, probably leaving psychological shadows, the dication’s effects should be worn off by now, so Elly said:
"Let’s wait for the doctor to start work, check again, if all’s good we can leave."
