Chapter 1610: 1610. Stirring up trouble without showing emotion
Leanne Richards, upon hearing this, laughed as well. She saw that Helen lendy was now sitting at the outdoor board ga area, and said with a smile:
“Why can’t you play? There’s still board gas here. You don’t need legs for that.”
Shannon Richards, looking as if she suddenly understood, covered her mouth and laughed:
“I misunderstood. I only thought about the gas that nobles play. Hillside Villa is quite considerate, after all. They open up so projects that ordinary people can afford, so everyone can have fun together.”
Helen lendy watched the aunt-niece duo play their tricks and didn’t feel angry; she just found them a bit ridiculous.
Who knows how much their sense of superiority improves by trying to hit her?
Leanne and Shannon simply wanted to use harsh words to make Helen feel ashad and inferior. Just thinking about seeing her angrily blushing and unable to get up and leave made them want to laugh.
But after the fun, they saw Helen’s expression calm, her gaze at them as if she was watching two clowns, not taking in any of their words at all.
The smiles on Leanne and Shannon’s faces weakened a bit, instantly feeling like their punches land on cotton, with no strength to hit her.
“Are you two done talking?”
Helen asked with a smile.
Her calm deanor, to Leanne, showed she was fearless only because her son backed her.
She really wished to tear Helen’s face apart.
Just as she was about to speak, the younger girl beside her stopped her, quietly and worriedly reminding:
“Aunt Leanne, let it go. Have you forgotten how Harry warned you last ti?”
She emphasized the words “Harry brother,” seemingly to intentionally let Helen hear her close relationship with Harry Hall.
After speaking, she anxiously glanced at Helen lendy.
Helen’s expression slightly changed, but it seed she wasn’t interested in her at all. Perhaps because she looked down on her opponent, she completely ignored her with an arrogant attitude.
As soon she finished speaking, the elegant woman beside her also held her back, persuading earnestly:
“I know you’re unhappy being warned and threatened by your son, but you must consider your brother. Let’s go elsewhere.”
This mother-daughter duo were the ones who witnessed Harry Hall warning Leanne Richards at the Hall Family, Mrs. Baker and her daughter Alice.
Alice was directly criticized by Harry Hall that day for ddling, receiving harsh sarcasm, and cried for a long ti at ho, holding a grudge against Helen lendy.
They didn’t expect to run into her here.
Helen lendy glanced at the mother and daughter, noted a few expressions in her eyes.
Despite their words to persuade Leanne, this mother and daughter are smarter than Leanne. They know Leanne’s prideful nature and wouldn’t want to lose face. So they deliberately ntioned Harry’s threat in front of her.
Helen didn’t know exactly what Harry said to Leanne, but he likely used matters from the Richards Clan to warn her not to harass her.
Soone as face-conscious as Leanne, being ntioned in front of Fox Spirit as having been warned at ho by her son, if she leaves in a huff, she’d beco a laughingstock in the socialite circle.
