Chapter 1265: 1265. Subconscious Psychological Resistance
He hugged Elly Campbell, gently patting her back, softly consoling her.
“Maybe you’ve been too tired lately. How about taking a break to rest properly? I can accompany you for a few days out, let other people in the company handle Campbell’s matters.”
The crisis at Campbell earlier was, in fact, instigated by the Jones couple, aid at ousting Jas Campbell.
But at the sa ti, the stock plumt also caused significant losses for the other shareholders of Campbell.
In order to mitigate the losses of those shareholders as much as possible, once Elly took over Campbell, she quickly dealt with many sses left by Jas Campbell.
She indeed had been extrely busy recently.
However, she really was not in the mood for traveling, so she declined Adam Jones’s suggestion.
“No need, resting at ho for a day or two is fine.”
She nuzzled her face into Adam’s chest, playfully cooing:
“Don’t go to the office either, stay ho with for two days.”
Since his wife rarely relied on him this much, Adam, of course, was more than happy to agree imdiately, “Alright.”
Adam stayed ho for a week with Elly and didn’t go anywhere.
During this period, he even arranged for several psychologists to conduct counseling for her.
“The thing is, Mr. Jones. Mrs. Jones’ post-traumatic stress disorder is relatively severe this ti. Although she seems fine on the surface, whenever it involves anything related to Miss lendy, her emotions beco agitated.”
The psychologist spoke in a low voice to Adam alone when they were about to leave the Jones Family ho.
Hearing this, Adam furrowed his brows and looked at the psychologist, waiting for him to continue.
This psychologist is a renowned authority in psychology in the country, personally handling the psychological treatnts for so undercover police officers when they resud their original identities.
His expertise in this field was unquestionable.
“One challenging aspect is, although Mrs. Jones is very cooperative with the treatnt, her subconscious is resisting. She might not even be aware of this resistance, and because of this, the treatnt becos more complicated.”
Hearing this, Adam’s frown deepened, “So, there’s no solution?”
“The only way now is to gradually guide her, at least to let her subconscious relax its guard. Only when her subconscious stops resisting can our subsequent treatnts be more effective.”
The psychologist answered truthfully.
“Otherwise, if Miss lendy could wake up, over ti, Mrs. Jones’ resistance might naturally resolve.”
Adam’s brows locked tighter; he sensed the underlying implication in the psychologist’s words.
If Helen lendy didn’t awake or had perished, Elly’s condition could worsen.
Adam could roughly guess why Elly’s subconscious was resisting such treatnt.
In her view, if Helen lendy hadn’t pushed her away at that mont, she might have had the chance to escape; even if she got hurt, it wouldn’t have been as severe.
She felt guilty towards Helen lendy.
If she let go of that incident, she felt she would be betraying Helen lendy.
Thus, even though she was very cooperative with the doctor’s treatnts on the surface and no longer had nightmares like before, her subconscious was continuously resisting.
Adam didn’t discuss this matter with Elly, fearing that it would add more psychological pressure on her, instead he had the doctors conduct so subtle, progressively staged treatnts.
In fact, her busy work at Campbell had been distracting her sowhat, which is why Adam had not insisted on her taking extended rest at ho.
