Chapter 1264: 1264. Beca much more irritable
Elly Campbell humd twice, but did not continue on the topic. What she cared about now was the matter between Harry Hall and that Clarke Ainley.
“You said Harry Hall’s grandfather tried to set him up with girls? When was this?”

“I will definitely not let Clarke Ainley have any contact with Harry Hall.”

“I know I can’t control Harry Hall, and with Helen’s current situation, I also understand that there’s no reason to expect him to wait for Helen forever, but if…”
“If he openly admits his involvent with another woman, or intends to marry another woman, I won’t stop him, nor can I. But he better not be one thing to her face and another behind her back, using Helen to flaunt his own depth of affection.”
Adam Jones sensed his wife’s resentful tone and her protective stance toward Helen lendy, feeling sowhat helpless.
For Helen lendy herself, he was also grateful for her consistent protection of his wife and for her instinctive protection that day when the incident happened.
But now, to be angry with Harry based on so groundless speculation, Adam Jones felt that as a brother, he still needed to speak up for him.
“Alright, alright, these are all our own conjectures. Maybe Harry and that Clarke Ainley have nothing to do with each other. Getting angry with him like this isn’t right.”
Elly Campbell, having just recalled the grievances Helen lendy suffered because of Leanne Richards, was on a short fuse, but now that she cald down, she also realized she had indeed been unfairly angry with Harry Hall, feeling sowhat embarrassed.
She sighed and buried her face in Adam Jones’s chest, saying:
“I feel like I’ve been a lot more irritable lately.”

It probably had to do with the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from the incident before, from which she had not fully recovered.
Having witnessed Helen lendy being stabbed, now, any slight disturbance that seed unfavorable to Helen lendy would always make her turn into a sword ready to strike.
