Chapter 569: Chapter 566: Exposing His Plan

Song Jiner looked at the tall and austere man in front of her, already the supre ruler in his early thirties.

Clad in black, he exuded a noble yet cold aura, his strong presence making others think twice before acting rashly.

In the four years since he had taken power, his accomplishnts were there for all to see.

He had managed to grasp great authority in just a few years and could contend with Old Lady Gong, sothing Gong Xiao couldn’t even dream of!

Although his nature was cold and his thods iron-fisted, he was not a brutal and ruthless tyrant.

On this matter, Song Jiner truly admired him.

However, if she were to stand by his side, she would be opposing Old Lady Gong and the Ji Family.

Whether her father could die a peaceful death then beca a question—

Gu Siting saw Song Jiner’s concerns and spoke in a low and chilly voice, “Miss Song, if you have doubts, why don’t we witness together how things unfold?”

Gu Siting lowered his voice and whispered a few sentences.

The more Song Jiner listened, the colder her blood ran.

Could the Ji Family really be as cold-blooded and rciless as Mr. President had said?

“If things truly are as Mr. President expects, I will surely persuade my father to cooperate with Mr. President.”

Gu Siting gave a nod with a frosty expression.

Soon, it was ti for Song Jiner to marry Ji Yang.

The ceremony followed the traditional wedding customs of Country C, with a phoenix crown and a bridal robe of red and gold, and a wedding procession that stretched for miles.

Song Jiner was carried to the Ji Mansion in a grand bridal sedan chair.

A red veil obscured her face.

Old Lady Gong ca in person to witness the wedding of the new couple.

Once the wedding ceremony ended, the bride was sent to the wedding chamber.

Ji Yang’s health was also failing, and the Ji Family imdiately moved him to another room.

“Isn’t there any way to make Ji Yang live a few more hours?” Ji Shoucheng asked, his expression dark.

The plan was still one step short, and Ji Yang needed to hang on to his last breath.

Originally, Ji Yang couldn’t even bow at the ceremony today. The doctors had declared him beyond help. Ji Shoucheng had found a Jianghu Magician, who sohow enabled Ji Yang to get out of bed and walk.

But as a result, it would consu all of Ji Yang’s Yang Energy. He might have been able to linger for a few more days, but now he was about to et Yama.

“Let think of a way. Delisting for an hour or two shouldn’t be a problem. Lord Ji needs to implent the plan quickly!”

Having exited the room, Ji Shoucheng imdiately instructed his servants to carry out the plan.

Inside the wedding chamber.

As soon as the bride entered, she slled a faint scent of fragrant incense that started to make her head spin.

After an unknown period, the door was pushed open, and a tall figure entered.

The man walked over to the wedding bed, looked at the woman who had already collapsed onto it, and swiftly lifted her veil.

No lights were on in the room—just the dim light from outside the window, which fell upon the woman’s sowhat heroic little face.

The man leaned down, reaching for the buttons on the woman’s clothing, and she opened her heavy-lidded eyes, raising her hands to hook around the man’s neck.

Ji Shoucheng’s n were stationed outside. Hearing a noise from the room, they hurried to call for others.

At that mont, Ji Shoucheng walked over, supporting Ji Yang.

“Yangyang, tonight is your wedding night with Jiner. I have brought you here,” said the father, “from now on, get along with Jiner and quickly bear an heir for the Ji Family!”

Ji Shoucheng ordered soone to push the room door open.

Ji Yang walked weakly inside.

But after only a few steps, he saw the scene inside the room, widened his eyes in shock, and suddenly, a mouthful of fresh blood spewed out.

“Young Master!”

Hearing the servant’s cry, Ji Shoucheng, who had taken a few steps outside, hurried back towards the room.

He caught Ji Yang just as he was about to collapse.

Glancing at the bed, his face turned pale with rage, “Song Jiner, how dare you betray our family’s Ji Yang on your wedding night?”

“First, help the Young Master out.”

As the servant was steadying Ji Yang, he trembled and said, “Master, it’s not good, the young master has stopped breathing!”

Ji Shoucheng’s face imdiately turned an ashen hue, “Song Jiner, you dared to have an affair on your wedding night and angered our Yangyang to death! Soone, tie up this adulteress and whore!”

The man in the bed, looking utterly terrified, crawled and knelt before Ji Shoucheng, “Lord Ji, it was Song Jiner who seduced first. She likes excitent, begged to be with her, it wasn’t my fault…”

Ji Shoucheng looked at the man kneeling before him and squinted slightly, “Are you Da Wei?”

“Yes, I am Da Wei.”

Ji Shoucheng’s expression turned a ghastly green, “I rember you, you’re one of Song Hu’s trusted aides, you actually…”

“Lord Ji, Miss Song and I grew up together. Not only did she have an affair with but she’s also been involved with many n from the Gong Pavilion. It was her who called over tonight. She thought that Young Master Ji would arrive later, she even said that Young Master Ji is high in appearance but low in ability, a complete good-for-nothing!”

Enraged, Ji Shoucheng’s chest heaved as he pointed at the bride who had her back to the door, “Bring Song Jiner to ! I want her to bury with my son!”

Ji Shoucheng’s n imdiately dragged the bride down from the bed. The bride, shivering, pleaded for rcy, “Lord Ji, you’ve made a mistake, I’m not Song Jiner!”

Ji Shoucheng was taken aback. He grabbed the woman’s hair and lifted her face to take a closer look.

The woman in front of him bore so resemblance to Song Jiner but was not the real Song Jiner.

“Lord Ji played his cards well. If I really married your son, wouldn’t I have to be buried with him just like the concubines in ancient tis?”

Song Jiner walked out from the corner with a smile that was not quite a smile.

Accompanying Song Jiner was Song Hu, whose face was ashen.

Song Hu could never have imagined that Ji Shoucheng would dare sche against his daughter and try to take her life under false pretenses!

Seeing Song Hu and Song Jiner, Ji Shoucheng’s face turned extrely pale.

What on earth had happened?

This plan had been carried out in utmost secrecy, known only to those closest to him—how did the Song family father and daughter co to know of it?

Song Hu walked over and kicked Da Wei in the chest, “Traitor, how dare you betray !”

Da Wei was one of Song Hu’s capable n whom Ji Shoucheng had bought over, thinking that with Ji Shoucheng’s assured victory, he would take over the Gong Pavilion.

Little did he know, everything was under Song Hu’s control.

“Pavilion Master, I was wrong. Please give another chance…”

Before Da Wei could finish his plea, Song Hu kicked him several ters away.

Though Song Hu was advanced in years, he remained vigorous. Ji Shoucheng, seeing him kick Da Wei and injure him within Ji Mansion, was furious beyond asure, “Song Hu, the wise adapt. Hand over the position of Pavilion Master now, and I can plead with the Old Madam to spare your Song family from calamity!”

Song Hu’s face remained stern, “What cri has the Song family committed that we need your pleading? You are the one at fault. Your son has a serious illness, which you hid for the sake of acquiring the Gong Pavilion. You bought my man Da Wei and planned against my daughter on her wedding night to have her accused of killing your son and used as a sacrificial burial!”
