Chapter 347: Chapter 346: Teaching at the dical College Chapter 347: Chapter 346: Teaching at the dical College “`
Liu Yun worked as the Head of the Traditional Chinese dicine Departnt at Capital City dical College.
Ming Yao rembered that after the last dical competition, she had received an invitation letter from the dical College inviting her to join their school as a professor.
At the ti, she was in Li City, and with many things on her plate, she declined.
Ming Yao turned on her computer and found that email.
She called the principal using the phone number provided in the email.
The phone rang several tis before soone answered.
“Hello, this is President Shen from Capital City dical College. May I ask who’s calling?”
“I’m Ming Yao.”
The president on the other end seed to pause for a mont, then realizing who it was, he exclaid with surprise, “Ming Yao? Fox?”
“Yes.”
“Hello, hello! I sent you an invitation last ti and you declined. I have been regretting that for a long ti! Miss Ming, have you changed your mind and decided to co teach at our dical College?”
Only those who study Traditional Chinese dicine know how formidable Fox is in the field of Chinese dicine!
It wasn’t just Capital City dical College; many other dical universities also wanted to invite Ming Yao to give lectures.
“Are there any procedures I need to go through?”
“Just bring your identity card over, I will handle all the procedures for you.”
“Alright, I’ll be there on Monday.”
After hanging up Ming Yao’s call, President Shen, who was usually composed, jumped up in his office and cried out, “This is fantastic!”
The vice-principal and the head of teaching, passing by the principal’s office, saw him excitedly ssing up the sparse hair on his head, worried he might pull out what little was left.
“Principal, what’s so exciting?”
“There will be a big surprise next Monday, but it’s a secret for now!”
…
At the Nangong Family’s ho.
Nangong Xuan had thought she might have permanently lost her voice, but it returned on its own after three days.
Upon discovering she could speak again, Nangong Xuan cried with emotion.
Being unable to speak was too much suffering!
Over these days, Old Master Nangong had called over the best doctors in Capital City, but none could determine what was wrong with her.
So famous doctors even suggested it was a psychological issue and told her to relax, speculating she might be able to speak again in a few days.
Could it really be a psychological issue?
It was utterly inconceivable.
Deep down, Nangong Xuan even suspected that Ming Yao had a hand in it, but then she realized Ming Yao couldn’t possibly have such skills!
Nangong Xuan attended Capital City dical College, and her grades had always been good. Growing up in the Nangong Family, she was able to identify most poisons at a glance.
After thinking it over, she concluded that Ming Yao simply did not have the ability to tamper with anything under her watch.
Now that Nangong Xuan could speak, she no longer holed up in her room.
When she ca downstairs, she saw Ming Yao, Nangong Heng, and Nangong Jing eating breakfast together, her face turning green with anger.
In the few days she hadn’t co out, had Ming Yao captured her brothers’ hearts?
Nangong Xuan sat down beside Nangong Jing and looked at Ming Yao, “I heard you study design. The university you attended isn’t very well known within the country. Now that Grandfather has brought you back to the Nangong Family, have you considered furthering your studies?”
Ming Yao took a sip of milk, “No.”
Nangong Xuan scornfully curled her lip, “That really shows a lack of ambition. You should know, everyone from our Nangong Family graduates from the best universities, with Ph.D.s and master’s degrees.”
Nangong Heng set down his cutlery and frowned at Nangong Xuan, “She just ca to the Nangong Family, so why are you pressuring her so much?”
“I think Xiao Xuan is right,” Old Master Nangong walked in, glancing at Ming Yao as if looking at a useless person, “The Ming Family gave you a small company, and you’ve settled for that. You still need to improve your educational level!”
“`
Ming Yao had lost interest in eating. She picked up a napkin and lightly wiped the corners of her mouth, “How about Capital City dical College?”
Capital City dical College is one of C-country’s finest dical colleges, producing elites in the dical field.
Only students with excellent grades can enroll in the college.
Nangong Xuan had looked up Ming Yao’s college entrance exam scores, and they were poor, barely two or three hundred points. Originally, to get into Li City Design College, Old Madam Ming had to pull so strings for her admission.
“Of course, the dical College is good. Nangong Jing’s mother is the head of the Traditional Chinese dicine departnt there. You need a score over 650 points in the college entrance exam to get in.”
Nangong Xuan glanced at Ming Yao and sneered, “Don’t even dream about it with two or three hundred points.”
Ming Yao arched an eyebrow, “Alright, it seems I’m aiming too high.”
Nangong Xuan didn’t quite grasp Ming Yao’s aning. She turned her head towards Old Master Nangong, “Grandpa, why don’t you pull so strings and arrange for Ming Yao to attend a better university for further studies?”
Old Master Nangong frowned and said, “If she wants to further her studies, she should rely on her own true abilities and learning!”
If it wasn’t for his superior, who considered keeping Ming Yao around extrely important, he wouldn’t have even let her step into the Nangong Family’s house.
To pull strings for her further studies was quite ridiculous.
Even if she managed to get into a good university, would she even understand the professor’s lectures?
Wouldn’t it be like listening to a book of heaven, only to lose face for him?
Ming Yao still had to report to Capital City dical College. She stood up and left the dining room.
Nangong Heng followed her out, “Don’t mind Xiao Xuan’s words. If you really want to pursue further studies, why doesn’t Third Brother introduce you to a prestigious school?”
“I’m not interested in pursuing further studies.”
“Alright, where are you headed after this? Can I give you a lift?”
“Capital City dical College.”
Nangong Heng paused for a mont, “What are you going there for?”
“To take care of so things.”
Nangong Heng didn’t ask further, “I’m going that way anyway, I’ll take you.”
When Nangong Xuan found out that Ming Yao was going to the college with Nangong Heng’s ride, she joined them in the car.
“Ming Yao, what are you doing at the dical College?”
Ming Yao hadn’t slept well the night before. She leaned back in her seat, closed her eyes to rest, and ignored Nangong Xuan.
Watching her indifferent and proud deanor, Nangong Xuan’s face turned an angry shade of iron blue.
What was she so proud of?
With a mother of such low standing and poor academic performance, attending a college that was nothing to boast about, where did she get this sense of superiority?
When they arrived at Capital City University, Nangong Xuan and Ming Yao got out of the car one after the other.
Nangong Heng had other matters to attend to and did not stay long at the university gate.
Nangong Xuan went to the guardhouse and said to the security guard, “She’s not from our university town, and her conduct is poor. Don’t let her in!”
The guard recognized Nangong Xuan, knew she was Liu Yun’s niece, and the only beloved daughter of the Nangong Family—her words certainly held credibility.
Ming Yao walked towards the main entrance, but the guard stopped her, “May I know which departnt and class you belong to?”
Ming Yao looked at Nangong Xuan who had already entered the campus and was now standing inside the gate, showing a schadenfreude smile directed at her. Ming Yao wordlessly rolled her eyes.
Without saying much to the guard, Ming Yao took out her phone and made a call to President Shen.
Nangong Xuan hadn’t heard who Ming Yao had called. Seeing her stand aside after finishing the call, without leaving or trying to push through, Nangong Xuan sneered, “Ming Yao, if you beg , I’ll vouch for you and let you in!”
Ming Yao couldn’t be bothered to listen to Nangong Xuan and stuffed earphones into her ears.
Nangong Xuan’s face slightly twisted when she saw this response.
She really hated how Ming Yao always maintained a nonchalant and serene deanor, no matter what embarrassnt or difficulty she faced.
It made her feel like a fool!
