Jeniva stepped into the living room, fully prepared for the mission. Her coat was neatly fastened, and her expression carried the focus of soone ntally reviewing every step ahead.

Dominick walked toward her and extended his hand, placing a smartwatch in her palm.

"What’s this?" Jeniva asked, slightly puzzled. She lifted her wrist to show him the watch she was already wearing. "I an... I do have a watch."

"Take mine instead," Dominick replied. "It’s more advanced. The tracking system works directly through the satellite network, so locating you will be much easier."

Across the room, Evan leaned against the arm of the sofa, a faint smile playing on his lips as he watched the exchange unfold.

Jeniva examined the watch in her hand but still didn’t put it on.

"But... isn’t this expensive?" she murmured. "If anyone notices it, they’ll start asking how I managed to afford sothing like this."

"Then don’t let anyone notice it," Dominick said firmly. "Keep it covered under your sleeve. If that doesn’t work, put it in the pocket of your coat. I’m not taking any chances when it cos to your life."

Evan and Kavin exchanged a quick glance. Their grins slowly widened, clearly amused by what they were witnessing.

However, the mont Dominick’s gaze shifted toward them, both of them instantly straightened up, their expressions returning to perfect neutrality as if nothing had happened.

"Is everything ready, Evan?" Dominick asked.

"Yes, Your Highness," Evan replied promptly. "The vehicle is prepared. It will stop at the exact location where Jeniva’s presence is required. From there onward, she’ll have to proceed alone and carry out the mission."

Dominick gave a brief nod.

"Good. Wait for us outside," he instructed. "I need to say a few words to Jeniva."

Evan bowed respectfully and left the room without another word. Kavin, who had been standing nearby, also walked away, pretending to check sothing on his tablet as if he suddenly rembered so important task.

Within monts, the living room fell quiet.

Jeniva turned her gaze toward Dominick, studying his face for a second.

"You’re worried about ," she said softly. "It’s quite evident on your face, Prince Dominick."

Dominick didn’t deny it. His eyes remained fixed on her. "That’s because I’ve never felt this way before," he admitted.

"I’ll be fine," Jeniva said confidently as she slipped the smartwatch into the pocket of her coat. "In fact, you’re going to praise once I finish this mission."

The certainty in her voice made Dominick smile faintly. "I trust you," he replied.

He hadn’t wanted things to unfold this way. But because of Black, circumstances had forced his hand. In truth, Jeniva hadn’t wanted it either.

For a brief mont, neither of them spoke. Her wolf, Eva, also wanted to them to feel their mate’s scent before departing.

Almost as if responding to the sa unspoken thought of their wolves, both Dominick and Jeniva embraced each other.

They simply held each other, leaning into the familiar comfort of each other’s pheromonal scent, letting the mont settle their restless emotions.

After a few seconds, Dominick was the first to pull away.

"Let’s go outside," he said.

He turned and began walking ahead of her. As he moved, he briefly brought a hand to his chest, pressing it there for a mont before lowering it again.

Jeniva followed silently behind him, trying to steady her own nerves.

However, when Dominick suddenly stopped without warning, she wasn’t prepared.

Lost in her thoughts for a split second, she walked straight into him. Her forehead bumped lightly against his back, making her blink in surprise. Only then did she realize she had montarily lost her focus.

"I-I am sorry," Jeniva apologized.

"I can teleport. So, you need to send a signal through the smartwatch once you feel it’s a danger. Just press the call button and I’ll be right in front of you," Dominick told her. He asked Jeniva to take out the watch and taught her the use of the watch. She learned it quickly, and finally they stepped out of the house.

Mabel sat comfortably in the living room, a pair of reading glasses resting on the bridge of her nose as she flipped through the morning newspaper. She was nearly at the end when a small column caught her attention.

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she read the bold headline.

"Prince Dominick Seen With a Mystery Woman!"

Mabel imdiately brought the newspaper closer to her face and carefully read the short article beneath it. The report was barely a hundred words long, but it ntioned that Prince Dominick had recently been spotted in public with an unidentified woman, sparking curiosity and speculation.

Her brows knit together as she reread the lines once more.

"Dear, what are you reading so keenly?" Raidan asked as he walked over and settled beside her on the sofa.

Mabel slowly lowered the newspaper and turned to look at her husband.

"Did Dominick speak to you recently about... his affairs?" she asked thoughtfully.

Raidan looked mildly puzzled. "No," he replied. "Whenever he calls, he simply asks about our well-being." He leaned back slightly. "I’m sure he’s just keeping himself busy with work."

Then, turning his head, he asked, "But why are you asking with such an interest?"

Mabel slowly shook her head. The article clearly stated that the report was only speculation, and she decided not to bring it up with Raidan for the mont.

’I’ll ask Dominick directly,’ she thought. But the idea made her hesitate. ’Won’t that feel like prying into his private life? I shall not do that. If he truly is seeing soone... then I’ll simply wait for him to tell himself.’

She folded the newspaper neatly and placed it aside.

"What are you thinking about, beloved?" Raidan asked, watching her with curiosity.

Before she could answer, he continued, his voice softening. "Kate will be married next week. Our daughter is about to step into a much bigger phase of her life." A faint, nostalgic smile appeared on his face. "It feels like only yesterday she was this tiny."

His eyes grew misty as mories of Katelyn’s childhood surfaced in his mind.

"You’re right, Your Majesty," Mabel said warmly. "When Kate was born, our entire country seed to flourish. Prosperity followed, and even the conflicts with the neighboring territories ca to an end."

She smiled gently. "She has always been a blessing to us."

"Yes," Raidan agreed. "Kate is very dear to ." His expression grew thoughtful. "That’s why I forced her to et Sage, despite the doubts she carried in her heart."

Mabel turned slightly toward him, surprised.

"Why did you do that?" she asked. "You already knew about Sage, didn’t you?"

Raidan nodded. "I did," he admitted. "And that’s exactly why I chose him. Sage was the only man I believed would never try to use Katelyn’s position for his own benefit."

He paused before continuing.

"Every ti I speak with him, he tells how much Kate has changed him. He says that if it weren’t for her, he wouldn’t be the man he is today."

A deep satisfaction crossed his face.

"They are perfect for each other," he said. "And above all, they are bonded by the Moon Goddess."
