Gabriel’s eyes remained fixed on the road through the windshield as the car followed closely behind the vehicles carrying his parents and siblings.
His gaze lingered on the vibrant decorations adorning both sides of the wide avenue, strings of lights, floral arrangents, and colorful drapes fluttering gently in the breeze. Despite the festive scene, a growing tension coiled in his chest. Everything had to go according to plan.
From the passenger seat, Karn glanced back, attempting to break the heavy silence. "Gabriel, you’re awfully quiet," he remarked gently.
Gabriel turned his head toward him.
"I’m nervous," he admitted after a pause. "This silence... it feels unnatural." He leaned back, resting his head on the seat’s headrest and exhaled slowly, trying to steady his thoughts.
Karn offered a reassuring smile. "Everything’s under control. I get why you’re feeling this way, but trust , it’s going to be perfect. You and Alie will be husband and wife before the day ends."
Gabriel nodded slightly, though the crease between his brows deepened. ’I’m thinking more than I should,’ he mused, picking up his phone. He checked his ssages, hoping to see sothing from Alie. Nothing.
’Kate said she sent her a photo of ... so why hasn’t Alie sent hers?’ he wondered. ’Just one look at her in that wedding dress would’ve cald .’
With a quiet sigh, he set the phone aside and turned his gaze back to the window, silently willing the journey to end.

"Oh my goodness, Alie, you look absolutely stunning," Samyra exclaid as she stepped into the room.
Her eyes sparkled with emotion as she took in the sight of her daughter in the wedding dress. She gave a soft glance to Flora. "Sweetheart, why don’t you go stay with your father for a bit?"
David was in the wheelchair because the wounds in his legs still needed ti to fully heal. So, the presence of one person at a ti was important.
Flora nodded and quietly stepped out of the room, leaving them alone.
Alie sat gracefully on a white velvet sofa, her hands resting on her lap. At Samyra’s gentle touch, she stood with the help of her assistant, who adjusted the long veil resting atop her intricately styled hair, though it had yet to be draped over her face.
Samyra moved closer and placed her hands lightly on Alie’s arms, admiration glowing in her eyes. "You look beautiful, my dear," she whispered, feeling emotional. Then, without another word, she pulled her daughter into a warm embrace. It was to remind that Alie was well even after undergoing so much.
Pulling back just slightly, Samyra planted a soft kiss in the middle of Alie’s forehead.
Alie offered a soft smile, her nerves briefly soothed by her mother’s presence.
"Have they arrived yet?" Alie asked.
"Not yet," Samyra replied.
"Oh..."
"But they’re close to the venue," Samyra added in a soft whisper. "I heard Denzel ntion it just a mont ago." She paused, then looked at her daughter with gentle curiosity. "Is there sothing on your mind?"
Alie hesitated for a mont, her gaze drifting downward. "Um... it’s Flora," she murmured. "I don’t think she’s happy. Her wedding was called off so suddenly... I know I shouldn’t let it affect , but as a woman—" she took a breath, her voice lowering, "—I can’t help but feel sothing for what she must be going through."
Samyra nodded slowly, her heart sinking once again for Flora. The thought of how Alex had betrayed her second daughter still weighed heavily on her. But then, it was Flora’s karma to bear such a fate.
"She’ll cope," Samyra said gently.
Turning to the assistant, she gave a subtle nod. "Bring the bouquet."
The assistant moved quickly, returning with the carefully arranged wedding bouquet and handing it to Alie with a soft smile.
At that mont, another assistant appeared at the door, her voice bright with excitent. "The prince and his family have arrived!"
Alie’s face lit up with a warm, genuine smile. Last night had been tough for her. Though Casaio and Dominick controlled the situation from turning worse, but she was still worried and scared.
Now, with Gabriel finally here, she felt her nerves begin to settle. Everything would be fine.
"Miss, let help you lower your veil," the assistant offered.
As the veil was gently drawn over Alie’s face, Samyra stepped back, her eyes never leaving her daughter. Her heart pounded with both fear and anticipation. All she wanted was for the wedding to go smoothly.
Flora pushed the wheelchair into the room, causing Alie’s eyes to focus on her father. "Dad," she whispered.
Samyra stood next to her husband and kept her one hand on his shoulder.
"Look at our daughter. Doesn’t she look pretty?" Samyra asked, her eyes damping because of tears.
"Yes, dear!" David admitted.
Alie walked up to her father. Though there were many differences among them, but Alie didn’t wish her father to undergo sothing like this. She still rembered the words of the doctor that David could have lost his life.
She got on her knees before her father after handing the bouquet to the assistant. "I am glad you are recovering so well, Dad. I still have lots of complaints from you, but that doesn’t an I want to see you getting hurt like this." She held her father’s hands, sothing she had hardly done in years because of the treatnt she received from them.
"I’m sorry for misbehaving with you," David said, his bandaged wrapped hands squeezing Alie’s. "Now, you should get up. Your dress might ruin," he stated before placing his one hand on her head, giving it a gentle pat.
Alie let out a small, genuine smile before standing up.
Just then, the assistant at the door bowed deeply.
"Your Majesty!"
All of them turned conscious seeing the Queen at the door.
They all lowered their eyes when Mabel walked in with a jewelry box in her hands.
"Lift her veil," Mabel ordered the assistant, who quickly did it.
Alie wondered what was going to happen when Mabel opened the jewelry box in front of her. "This is the family necklace. Since you will beco the first daughter-in-law of the Sinclair Family, I want to give it to you."
