Fiona’s POV
I rubbed my eyes, stretching my body lazily. My hand reached out, searching for my phone in the familiar spot on the nightstand. But I couldn’t feel it. Confused, I opened my eyes, and my heart skipped a beat as I was greeted by an unfamiliar room.
I sat up imdiately, panic rushing through . Okay, where the hell am I?
A sharp migraine hit like a hamr, and I winced, holding my head. What the heck happened last night? I closed my eyes, trying to recall the events, but all I got were flashe back of drinking at the club
Oh, fuck! I knew I shouldn’t have gone.
Wait... Did I really? Did I go?
I threw off the blanket, and my stomach sank. I was bare underneath. I touched my chest imdiately, and reality hit like —I wasn’t even wearing a bra.
Please tell I didn’t sleep with anyone!_
My thoughts spiraled. It was painfully obvious, but I clung to hope. Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding?
I slapped myself in the face twice, trying to wake up from what I hoped was just a nightmare. Nope. This wasn’t a dream.
"Okay, Fiona! This is reality," I muttered to myself, my voice shaking.
How could I have slept with soone? And please, don’t let it be Mike! Anyone but Mike!
I jumped out of the bed, but the migraine reminded I’d had way too much to drink. My stomach churned, and nausea hit hard. I bolted for the toilet, barely making it in ti.
I leaned over the sink afterward, wiping my mouth dry and staring at my reflection in the mirror. My face was pale, my eyes tired, and I looked like a hot ss.
I stepped out of the bathroom and froze when my eyes landed on the small table by the window. On it sat a glass of water, pills, and—wait for it—a stack of cash.
I walked closer, my heart pounding.
What rich dude did I sleep with last night?
The migraine wasn’t helping think straight. My brain was racing, trying to piece together the fragnts of the night before. Who was he? Why was there so much money?
I didn’t have ti to dwell on it. I had classes today, and I couldn’t afford to waste ti. Without hesitation, I grabbed the pills and swallowed them. If I wanted to move around today, this was my only option.
I hurried to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and scrubbed away the sha of last night. I slipped back into my clothes—minus the panties.
Don’t laugh! It’s embarrassing, I know. But I couldn’t wear those again. Who knows what happened to them? And what if... sperm was on them?
I was about to put on my shoes, but they were nowhere to be found. I searched under the bed, in the corners of the room, even near the door, but they were gone.
Does that an I ca here barefoot? What the fuck is wrong with you, Fiona?
Ti wasn’t on my side. I grabbed the stack of cash, split it into halves, and stuffed it into my bra.
Don’t judge ! Who holds that much cash in hand?
As I stepped out of the room, I bumped into a lady carrying a tray. Luckily, nothing spilled.
"Oh my God! I’m so sorry," I apologized, quickly turning to leave.
"Miss! These are for you!" she yelled after , and I paused, turning back.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"These are for you. Your boyfriend instructed for it to be brought to you exactly at 6 a.m."
"My—my boyfriend?" I stamred, my voice cracking.
"Is he your husband?"
"God, no! No, no, no." I shook my head furiously. "I know this may seem odd, but... what does he look like?"
I braced myself for judgnt, but to my surprise, she smiled knowingly.
"One-night stand, huh? Well, I just resud my shift, but the other girls couldn’t stop talking about how hot he looked. Except for the fact he was wearing a mask."
A mask? So he was definitely from the party.
"Thank you," I said quickly, hurrying off without another word.
"Miss, your al!" she called after .
"Eat it!" I yelled back, running down the stairs.
The lobby was packed with people, and their stares burned into . Of course, I was barefoot.
I got outside, greeted by the chilly morning air, and sighed. Would I even find a cab at this hour?
Just as I was losing hope, a familiar car drove by.
"Hey! Mister!" I waved, jumping up and down to make sure he saw .
The car stopped in front of , and the driver rolled down the window.
"Hey, I rember you," he said with a grin.
"Thank God you stopped! Are you going my way? I’m kind of stuck. I’ll pay you, I promise!"
"Co on, get in," he said, motioning to the passenger seat.
"Thank you so much!" I hopped in, grateful beyond words.
Looking around the car, I noticed how well-maintained it was. It looked old but still perfect, like he’d taken good care of it over the years.
"So... you work here?" he asked casually as he started driving.
"Um, no. Long story," I replied, folding my arms over my body for warmth.
"I see. You attended the club opening last night?"
"How did you know?"
"Heard so girls talking about it. Picked up a few drunk people last night too."
"It’s normal for girls your age to want to party, so I completely understand."
I gave him a fake smile, not wanting to explain myself further.
Not long after, we arrived at my place. I stepped out of the car, suddenly rembering the cash stuffed in my bra.
It was too embarrassing to pull it out in front of him.
"Let go in real quick and get your money," I said, feeling guilty.
He shook his head. "Nah. I told you I’d be giving you free rides. Forget about it."
"No, no, I have the money—"
"Don’t stress," he said, cutting off as he drove away.
