A few weeks ago...
Shortly after Xu Feng’s gaming capsule sounded the emergency alert, Carmen was subsequently jolted awake by the ambulance workers.
"What’s going on?" Carmen was shocked by the scene.

Once they arrived at the hospital, Carmen was seated with a dazed look.
It wasn’t until Veronica arrived that she regained some of her clarity.
"What happened to Feng?" Veronica quickly held Carmen’s hand as a way to give her some warmth. "How did Feng suddenly bee hospitalized? He was just messaging me in the Divine World earlier."
"I-I don’t know..." Carmen resisted the tears from falling.
Upon seeing her state, Veronica’s expression changed drastically. ’This is like that time when we first met.’
Without hesitation, she quickly pulled her closer for an embrace. "Everything will be fine. That Feng is a despicable villain. And you know what they all say? Villains live longer than good people."
"Yes, he’s a villain." Carmen nudged her head and agreed with the statement. "He’s such a big villain. No one can even take advantage of him."
’Are you sure about that?’ Veronica was skeptical. It really wasn’t correct to say no one when she had seen how Carmen repeatedly took advantage of him without realizing it.
Of course, given their romantic relationship, it was only natural that she held such privilege.
A few seconds later, Carmen came back to her senses. "By the way, what did you mean when you messaged Feng earlier? What did you talk about?"
"Oh that..."
Soon, Veronica explained the situation to him regarding his devious plans.
"Pfft, that’s definitely Feng’s behavior, alright." Carmen let out a small laugh.
Veronica smiled lightly when she saw her finally showing a better reaction and emotion.
Indeed, her friend was destined to be corrupted by the scummy Guild Leader.
She used to be so pure, but now she has learned all the bad things from him.
Sometime later, the doctor came out of the room and informed them.
"The patient’s vitals are fine. It seems like he had exhausted his mental capacity. We have injected him with sufficient nutrients, and he should be awake soon." The doctor said calmly.
"How long is this soon?" Carmen inquired, her tone somewhat uneasy.
"It could be in an hour, days, or even a few weeks." The doctor explained and proceeded to reassure Carmen. "This isn’t our first time witnessing this phenomenon. There is no life danger; otherwise, the government would have long placed a regulation and restriction."
"Thank you, Doctor," Veronica said on Carmen’s behalf because she could tell the latter was still worried sick.
Although the condition wasn’t rare, when it really happened to people you cared about, they tend to think the worst because they are afraid.
"Let’s head inside and check on him." Veronica then suggested and helped guide her to the room.
Inside the room was Xu Feng sleeping fortably in the bed. Given that it was an expensive private room, he received the best of the best facilities.
"Consider this a long-awaited break that he deserves," Veronica said softly.
"He’s always working and barely has any time to rest. Moreover, he set the foundation for the uping schemes, so we should honor it and follow through with the task." She continued.
Carmen nodded in silence. She naturally understood Veronica’s point.
He might be asleep, but the world never stopped running.
"Just take a good break, Feng. Leave the rest to us." She muttered, clenching her fist softly.
After a few breaths, Carmen returned to her usual posure. "Let’s return to the Divine World. We need to prepare for the end of the colossuses and possible retaliation from Razor Technology."
"That’s my girl!" Veronica smirked.
"I’ll meet you back in the Divine World."
"Sure, I have to summon the rest to begin. I’ll wait for you in town."
As the two came to a consensus to work harder during Xu Feng’s absence, the Divine World was undergoing a series of motions that shocked the entire players’ munity.
"What the hell is this mission?"
"Spread the substance to the water source?"
"Operation: end of colossuses??!"
The players were in chaos as they wondered what the system prompt meant.
Some were still struggling to navigate some terrains because it was very hostile and filled with Colossus’ territories. But now they were being told that the end of the colossuses were near?
With almost every player receiving the mission, many naturally accepted it and received a small bag of substance.
Each bag showed a designated area to pour the substance into.
"Oh well, that’s free money and reputation!"
"Crap, some of these substances are right in the middle of the Colossuses territory!"
"Damn, how am I supposed to plete this mission?"
While some were aggrieved by the location they were forced to go to, some were cheering at how easy their location was.
"Hahaha, I’m just right here. Easiest mission of my life!"
They cheered loudly and even went on to rub it on others.
But soon, they received something.

[System Notification: You have been muted from the Game Forum for 24 hours!]
Indeed, gloating too hard would result in a large number of people reporting you for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Of course, the mute went through because the system deemed the behavior to be true. After all, trying to abuse the report system without sufficient proof would result in them being muted instead.
Amidst all the chaos and ruckus, the atmosphere in Haven Wind Town was much milder.
"Hmm, isn’t the substance fixed at our location?" A player with the Vanguard Guild emblem asked in confusion.
"Yeah, every one of us just needed to pour the substance near our area. Why did some claim they have to spend 2 gold coins on transportation to get there?" Another Vanguard Guild player said.
As they were discussing, their notifications suddenly sounded the alert.
"Hmm, a guild summoning?"
"Hoh, things are about to go down!"
Instantly, the guild members were agitated and excited.
Each time there was a guild summoning, something major was bound to happen.
