Chapter 956: Devious To The Extre
As Kelso literally used his body as a shield to assist in Fernando’s escape, Carn was about to make a move.
They would be dreaming if they thought they could escape from their hands.
But to her surprise, Xu Feng suddenly extended his hand to stop her.
Dumbfounded, Carn turned to him and tilted her head slightly. No words were spoken aloud, but it was evident that she was asking why he stopped her.
“If you eliminate everyone, then what’s the point of framing?” Xu Feng whispered softly. “Letting that clown escape to spread the word would help achieve our goal.”
Realization quickly dawned upon Carn. Indeed, they purposely posed as people from the Malefic Order Guild to fra the latter and make enemies for them.
If they don’t allow others to spread the deed of their action, then what was the point of faking their identity?
Carn was imdiately enlightened and stayed her hand. She gazed at Fernando, who was running away like so sore loser. ‘Go run away. Let the rest know how sinister the Malefic Order Guild people are.’
While Xu Feng allowed Fernando to escape, the sa could not be said for Kelso.
Although Kelso ultimately chose to be the sacrificial person, a synonym to a typical hero character, Xu Feng held zero sympathy or attachnt to him.
In Xu Feng’s eyes, Kelso was just the sa as those from the Malefic Order Guild. Everyone in the trial was his enemy, and he planned on wreaking havoc.
Just like how Sun Wukong rushed to the Heavenly Court and destroyed everything in sight, he was also doing the sa in this trial.
Whoever he saw, he would slay.
Whoever obstructed him, he would slay.
After all, unlike Sun Wukong, who ultimately got punished to 500 years in a mountain, he had a scapegoat that would take the punishnt on his behalf.
“Reckonizer, this na really suits
well.” Xu Feng mused. Ever since Evelyn gave him a nalist, he loved this na the most.
Not only was it sowhat unique, but it also gave others a feeling of wanting to punch them in the face.
Yes, this was exactly what Xu Feng desired to do when hearing the na Reckonizer.
Like, are you trying to consider sothing or calculate sothing?
The na was derived from the word reckon, with an added “izer” to create a cringe na.
Of course, Xu Feng wasn’t allowed to criticize the naming sense when he was equally guilty of having a terrible naming sense.
“Hmm, seems like Kelso won’t be able to fight much longer.” Carn deduced that in about 1-2 minutes, Kelso would fall to the boss level monster.
The current Kelso was being thrashed left and right, unable to offer any proper resistance.
It made sense, though. His opponent could be considered a raid boss monster in a dungeon. Without a proper team and rotation, it was impossible to kill such a monster.
Xu Feng also didn’t have any hope of slaying the boss level monster either.
He was just waiting to pick up the drop loot that would co after Kelso’s death.
Monsters don’t care about the drop loot. They only cared about killing their enemies and returning to their business.
Soti later, Kelso finally died under the assault of the monster.
From start to finish, Xu Feng and Carn kept their distance to ensure they wouldn’t trigger the boss level monster’s aggro.
Kelso also noticed it and wanted to drag them along with him to hell. Alas, it was only a pipe dream.
The mont he tried to escape a certain vicinity, Carn would effectively suppress the latter with Void Field, hindering its movent.
And as if collaborating with her, the boss level monster snorted coldly and hauled Kelso back in place.
Naturally, Xu Feng didn’t remain idle either. He made sure to trash talk in an infuriating manner.
Of course, he didn’t spout any more nonsense, such as belonging to the Malefic Order Guild. Once was enough.
Any more, and it would just be overdoing it.
“Hmm, the monster isn’t leaving yet.” Carn frowned. She noticed that the monster was still lingering around in the field.
“Oh, right.” Upon hearing that, Xu Feng hurriedly instructed her. “Cancel your voidling summons that are hovering around the vicinity.”
“Okay.”
As the voidlings were canceled, the boss level monster’s interest seed to have decreased substantially. It roared and growled a few tis, its hooves stomping the sand heavily.
Afterward, its nose made a few sniffing sounds and ultimately turned around as it made its exit. Based on the direction it was returning, one could determine that it was returning to its territory.
“What happened?” She was a bit taken aback by the abnormality. “It can’t be that your lure is that powerful, right? If it was, then why didn’t the boss level monster target us?”
She was no longer that uninformative. She naturally knew Xu Feng’s proficiency in herbology wasn’t low and could concoct monster lures at a high level.
“Oh, the lure that we used to bait the monsters has long run out.” Xu Feng explained.
And he continued, “The remaining scents attached to the voidlings aren’t sothing the monster likes, but sothing it despises.”
“Huh?”
With a shocked expression, Carn scratched her head as she didn’t anticipate him to be that shrewd. The explanation might seem brief, but it cleared a lot of her doubts.
To summarize, the boss level monster wasn’t roaring in anger, but in relief.
It was relieved that the scent it despised was finally gone.
However, if you think that was it, then you would really be retarded.
Keep in mind that Xu Feng had instructed her to bring the voidling close to the enemies as much as possible.
Aside from trying to cast the Void Field, the actual main objective was to paste the despised scents onto their enemies.
This was the reason why the boss level monster targeted Fernando and Kelso imdiately while ignoring their presence.
“Damn, this is really devious to the extre.” Carn gasped and looked at Xu Feng in amazent.
