As Veronica scrutinized the Nightfallen Set, clearly left in a daze by its appearance, Azalea pressed on.
"The Nightfallen Set is currently exclusively produced by our sub-branch blacksmith and is not for sale." She calmly said.
And she continued, "To express our apology for this incident, the first set would be given to you as compensation. We can also sell you two additional sets at a discount price."
To summarize, the sub-branch of Cyclone Guild didn't want their relationship to be dampened by the ambush incident and thus sought to technically give them three sets in total.
At a discounted price, it was better off saying that they rely wanted them to cover the cost of materials used and nothing else.
After all, Azalea and her boss needed a justification to give away three sets in total.
The first set was obviously understandable to most, but two more sets would have been too much. Hence, they devised such a notion to explain to the respective sub-branches.
However, Veronica was certain that wasn't simply their only objective.
The sub-branch of the Cyclone Guild must have been certain that the Vanguard Guild's most powerful people were within the Mage Class after so investigation. In other words, they were actually providing the Sets for them to wear for the upcoming trial.
'If I accept them, then doesn't that an we're acknowledging we're not competent and require their help?' Veronica thought to herself. What made it worse was that if she refused the compensation, it was as if indirectly saying she was displeased by them.
No matter if she accepted or not, the disadvantage would still be the Vanguard Guild.
'What a poisonous woman covered in smiles.' She concluded inwardly.
While Veronica finally figured out her true color, Azalea feigned oblivious and raised an eyebrow.
"Are the Sets not satisfactory?" She inquired softly. "I can reassure you that this Set is very highly regarded and many of our mbers want it."
"..."
By specifically emphasizing that even their own mbers wanted it but couldn't get it, was essentially painting them in a terrible light.
After all, if she turned it down, then it ant that they were quite haughty and the public opinion would definitely shift that they deserved to be ambushed because of their behavior.
Azalea calmly held her smile in place, seemingly positive that Veronica would cave.
Unfortunately, she had severely underestimated her opponent this ti.
Veronica calmly crossed her legs and mused, "The Cyclone Guild's blacksmiths are indeed great. It just so happened our guild also nurtured one and she managed to produce a set of equipnt as well."
"Eh?" Startled, Azalea's expression clearly displayed a look of disbelief.
"Oh, speak of the devil, she has returned." Striking when the iron was hot, Veronica mused and suggested they wait a while.
A few minutes later, the door outside was knocked.
"Co in," Veronica called out.
"Hello," The person who arrived was none other than Crimson Heart.
Just earlier, she was still busy crafting the Equipnt Set that the Guild Leader had sent to her that he received from a reward, and received an urgent ssage from Veronica.
Most of the ti, the materials that she sought were usually arranged by Veronica, who was handling a lot of the administrative work. Thus, the two had ford an amicable relationship.
Moreover, when she was inford that soone was coming to flex on them, Crimson Heart beca motivated.
Want to flex in her territory regarding blacksmithing?
What a great joke that was!
She was currently enjoying a high status and didn't even need to gather materials herself. She could fulfill her desire to wholly focus on her craft with ease.
If soone ca knocking on her doorsteps and she was unable to repel them, then who knows if she would still get to enjoy such benefits.
Thus, Crimson Heart knew what Veronica's intention was.
As she entered and hovered her eyes over the Equipnt Set on the table, she curled her lips upward.
"Nightfallen Set, level 35 and epic rarity. Not bad at all." She picked up one of the pieces and nodded her head in a sowhat approving manner.
Her action instantly caused Azalea to flash an awkward smile in response.
Not bad?
What does that even an? Was that supposed to be an evaluation made for a Equipnt Set that sold like hotcakes?
Naturally, when she said it was not for sale, that was just a formality. They were definitely selling them but at an extrely high cost.
She was assigned to co all the way here to sell two of them at a discounted price and give one for free mainly because they felt a bit guilty about the past incidents.
After all, the information leaked was their fault, but that didn't an she was just going to sit here and take their insult.
"Miss Veronica here said you're a blacksmith and crafted an Equipnt Set as well. Do I have the honor to take a look or is it a secret?" Azalea spoke up, her gaze shifting to Crimson Heart.
Her tone was polite and amiable, but both Veronica and Crimson Heart could discern that she was declaring war subtly.
Crimson Heart paused for a mont and turned to Veronica, who simply nodded slightly in response.
Seeing that, Crimson Heart noted that she got the green light to reveal the set.
"Very well," She calmly said and retrieved the Equipnt Set from her inventory.
At first, Azalea didn't hold much expectation. She was ready to diss the item in a subtle way. After all, she couldn't just outright call the item trash and sour the relationship between them.
This farce was rely to showcase the difference in their guilds and to demonstrate who was the one with more authority. Alas, the mont the items were placed on the table, Azalea's eyes widened in surprise.
Without even needing to inspect the item thoroughly, just the aura and presence the items emitted were capable of causing her to tremble.
"What the…" Azalea swallowed a mouthful of saliva and hesitantly extended her hand to reach out for a piece of the equipnt.
