Vanguard Guild Residence, 2nd Floor, Room 3
As the two took their seats, Azalea sure didn't beat around the bush and inquire about her Guild Leader's presence. She wasn't asking about their unavailability now, but whether he would be able to honor their deal that was coming up.
"Please pardon my offense as I didn't an to rush him or anything," Azalea explained herself.
"It's fine. The Guild Leader will definitely make it on ti for the trial and wouldn't give up his two slots." Veronica smiled and subtly hinted that she knew what she was talking about.
Even a fool could discern that Azalea was testing whether she was in the know or not by saying "deal" but not specifying what it was.
Sure enough, Azalea seed to be relieved slightly upon hearing Veronica ntion the trial and two slots. This helped verify to her that her conjecture was correct and that Veronica knew about their secret deal.
Alas, the deal wasn't quite a secret anymore now that the news of their plane committing an ambush was made well known by the Vanguard Guild Leader.
By that, it ant that those involved in the upcoming trial had learned of the Vanguard Guild being a part of it.
Her boss, Floral Witch, received quite the pressure from the Cyclone Guild when the news was made. After all, two slots were very precious, but she just gave it away to an upstart guild.
Luckily, the retaliation move made by the Vanguard Guild ca in ti and caused the Cyclone Guild to lessen the pressure. Although their Guild was powerful, they weren't confident enough to utilize the System to eradicate another guild.
If they sought to destroy one's guild, the Cyclone Guild could easily just send their elites to sabotage and kill to make the opponent quit forever.
However, they couldn't possibly use the move that the Vanguard Guild does to erase their opponents.
A worldwide kill order by the System to paint the Vegan Life mbers as traitors to humanity.
How many could accomplish such a feat?
There was no one else but the Vanguard Guild!
Moreover, many have even begun their investigation. They hoped to figure out what kind of thod the Vanguard Guild used to paint such a label on them. It was just a pity that nobody managed to gain anything.
"I'm glad that the Vanguard Guild could still make it to the trial." Azalea calmly said.
"My objective today was to confirm this and also to extend our apologies." She continued and retrieved a few pieces of equipnt.
At first glance, the equipnt wasn't special. But as more pieces were shown and placed on the table, Veronica ca to realize it was an Equipnt Set—the sa type that they had auctioned in the past, Elental Warrior Set.
The difference here was that the Equipnt Set shown by Azalea displayed a stronger aura and presence than the Elental Warrior Set.
Despite the initial shock, Veronica was quick to compose herself and regulate her emotions.
"What do you an by extending your apologies?" She then spoke up, undeterred by the sudden appearance of the Equipnt Set.
Instantly, Azalea put up a guilty expression and said, "The ambush that occurred to your guild during the main event. The news was leaked from our side and maliciously inford the Maleficent Guild about it which prompted the action."
"..."
Speechless, Veronica didn't know how to respond to that for the mont.
After all, the person who died in their guild was none other than her bestie, Carn. To say that she wasn't angry would be a complete lie.
But she also knew Carn wanted to let the matter rest and even told her in advance that she was going to discuss things with the Guild Leader to cease the aggression.
'I didn't get paid enough for this.' She furrowed her brows and found herself to be in a complicated position.
In the end, she exhaled deeply and began to identify the Equipnt Set.
The effects weren't as great as the Elental Warrior Set, but the attributes and overall stats were superior.
While Veronica was busy inspecting, Azalea took the ti to explain it as well.
"This is the Nightfallen Set, and very beneficial to those in the Mage or Specialist Class. It's a crafting design that we managed to obtain through a dungeon and successfully crafted by one of our Blacksmiths."
Nodding, Veronica was already sowhat astounded that it was an Epic rarity. But to think it was also crafted by their blacksmith and not obtained from a dungeon was astonishing.
'Isn't this just a straight slap to our face?' She wondered silently, her eyes staring at the item description.

Although Veronica couldn't confirm whether or not Azalea's claim was authentic, she knew one thing was a fact. This set was definitely sothing everyone would have sought after.
'The Veil of Shield and Shadow Surge is good.' She thought to herself. Veil of Shield provides an extra layer of defense for those who tend to be vulnerable and easily damaged. As for Shadow Surge, it was a great boost to damage for DPS classes.
Overall, it was just like what Azalea had said. This set was very beneficial to the Mage and Specialist Class, but more toward the Mage Class.
