Xu Feng's head was lowered for a while. He anticipated that his Eclipse Nova might have been discovered by so already.
Of course, that was only for those who were close to him.
The outsiders would never be able to tell or discern his alternate character as the sa person.
Only those who were used to his presence could sense or distinguish the difference.
Think of it like a person had a clone, but those who were close with the said person would know which one was the clone and which one was the real one.
That being said though, only the true closet would identify the real one.
"I didn't expect to be the target of a pep talk one day." Xu Feng flashed a bittersweet smile and admitted defeat. Usually, it was always him who gave the pep talk to others.
"I didn't want to expose it as well." Carn bit her lips and said softly. "I wanted to wait for you to open up to , but you've left
with no options."
Nodding, Xu Feng didn't disagree with her action. She must have been disappointed when he doubted her in deceiving him regarding the secret dungeon.
His paranoia caused him to drift to this current state and situation.
Had he been honest from the start, then maybe Carn would have continued to feign ignorance.
"You're not mad that I deceived you, right?" Xu Feng sat down and asked.
Carn shook her head and took a seat next to him. "I'm not mad that you deceive . I'm mad that you always try to handle everything alone, allowing everyone to misunderstand you."
Toward that, he had nothing to defend himself. Indeed, he tried to shoulder everything, even when he was stepped over by those haughty ones sitting at the top.
He, alone, tried to muster through it and sche his way by using others.
Not once had he paused and wondered whether his own guild mbers could endure and shoulder part of the responsibility.
Maybe this was the reason why he didn't have anyone speaking up on his behalf in the past tiline.
When he was coldly discarded like so stray dog, not a single person whom he helped had intervened to defend him. They all held the sa conception that he was just a shrewd bastard who t his just end.
"You're a petty person, Xu Feng." Carn suddenly comnted.
"Yes, I'm very petty." Xu Feng smiled bitterly and admitted, his head slightly lowering.
However, before it lowered further, Carn suddenly extended her arms and wrapped them around his back.
She then pulled him into a warm embrace as she whispered, "You're petty but also fiercely protective of your people. But your protection is always hidden from the people you're protecting. How were they supposed to know and feel grateful?"
"I didn't think it was sothing that required an announcent." Xu Feng responded in a low but subtle tone.
"And that's why I'm mad at you. Stop keeping everything to yourself and let others know what you're doing."
"Well, you've already known about it though."
"..."
Ti seed to have co to a pause as they remained in their position.
Carn's gentle and warm arm could be felt by Xu Feng, and it was surely a newfound emotion.
An emotion where he was consoled with and protected.
After an unknown amount of ti, Carn pulled away and gazed at him.
"Do you still need to be squeezed further to understand your wrongdoing?" She asked gently.
"Was that considered squeezing?" Amused, Xu Feng chuckled.
"Well, did you not enjoy it though?" Carn flashed a cheeky smile. Despite the supposedly intimate action, the two clearly didn't think further about it and even made a tease out of it.
Nevertheless, one thing was agreed upon the inexplicit statent. It was that Xu Feng should try to lean on her when problems arise and seek her assistance.
There was never a rule that stated he had to resolve everything on his own.
"Anyway, how do you plan on proceeding with the secret dungeon?" She shifted the topic of conversation.
"I'm not sure," he replied honestly. The Testimony Of Will's secret dungeon was sothing he had never heard of. In fact, there wasn't even news about it.
For soone who was tasked to record all secret dungeons in the past—especially with the minimal secret dungeon out in the Divine World.
There was only one thing he suspected.
This was a one-and-done dungeon!
A one-and-done dungeon ans that once completed, the dungeon would vanish forever.
However, this was the main concern that he held at the mont.
'Is it a one attempt only or completion done?' He furrowed his brows. Based on Carn's report, Xu Feng leaned more heavily toward the forr. The strict requirent was sothing abnormal, to begin with.
Perhaps, the reason was that in the past tiline, soone discovered it, attempted it, and failed miserably. If that was the case, then Xu Feng must tread very carefully.
The greater the difficulty, the greater the rewards.
To summarize, the people he chose for this secret dungeon had to be at the top of the top.
With that thought process, the end result remained that there was only him and Carn.
"Ugh, I don't want to share this reward though." Frustrated, Xu Feng realized what Carn ant. Without any trustable and capable elites on his command, they were bound to be shackled by their own criteria.
However, Carn's grinding speed had already made her level 44. At this rate, she was going to reach level 45 and soon cap out of the level requirent.
He also wouldn't attempt to jeopardize her montum in grinding to secure the secret dungeon.
"Seems like I can only do this." He raised his head up and said solemnly.
"Do what?" Carn raised an eyebrow in confusion. She was a bit alard by his sudden change in the aura and subsequent frightening expression that echoed he was about to sche sothing horrible.
Xu Feng simply flashed a wicked grin as he stared at her deeply.
