Chapter 769: Voidlings
Ever since he got bodied and bullied by the rged Colossus, Xu Feng wished for nothing more than to thrash them hard once the table was turned.
It was just that the opportunity had yet to present itself until Carn's ergence. Now that the table had turned with her presence, Xu Feng would be damned to not get revenge for the suffering he had received.
He had always remained the sa in his principles. Repay favor and kindness to those who gave you in tis of crisis. But make sure to repay double for those who gave you crap.
"I want this rged bastard of rocks to get stepped on by ." Xu Feng hissed coldly.
anwhile, Carn was slightly surprised as she never thought there would be a day to witness Xu Feng behaving in such a manner.
'Hmm, maybe I should have delayed my appearance just a little bit more. I might have been able to witness sothing more unique if that were to happen.' Carn thought. She was honestly regretting a little bit for showing up too quickly.
She wanted to flex so of her achievents and power. After all, she thought Xu Feng might have been finished on his ends soon, so if she were late, then the effect would have been mid.
Yet it appeared her conception was incorrect.
How could he be done when the city he chose to protect was under siege by the most powerful ones?
Sotis, Carn was curious as to how lucky and unlucky her guild leader could have gotten.
Lucky because he managed to recruit her, and unlucky because he had always faced the worst scenario outco possible.
It was like even the system of the Divine World was against him.
'Sigh, did the Guild Leader rob sothing and incur the wrath of the world?' She wondered silently, completely unaware that her thought was extrely on the mark.
Shaking her head, Carn didn't agree to Xu Feng's suggestion right away.
"What are you willing to offer up in return for that request?" She asked.
Startled, Xu Feng nearly received a shock when he heard her speaking in a business-like tone.
He cleared his throat and asked to confirm his hearing. "Are you seriously asking
to offer you sothing in return?"
Nodding, Carn clasped her hands and smiled.
"Naturally. You're an honorary elder and I'm the Guild Commander. You don't have authority over
and neither do I toward you." She continued, using his fake alias against him.
An honorary elder sounded impressive on the surface, but the truth was that the role itself couldn't be considered as a mber of the guild.
Nevertheless, honorary elders were not under restriction of the guild and had more leeway. Their authority only worked against those below the elite mbers unless granted permission from the Guild Leader or Vice Guild Leader.
"You can't be seriously using this against , right?" Xu Feng facepald.
"Of course, I am. This is called an equivalent exchange, and you're not my Guild Leader." Carn chuckled and shrugged. She gave him zero faces and pointed out that her creatures of the void were still dealing heavy damage to the rged Colossus.
Xu Feng was feeling bitter at the situation but at the sa ti, very impressed by her action. Equivalent exchange was indeed the basis for all work done when requested by others.
Why should she agree to his request if their role was considered equal on the surface?
Carn knew if he just went back to his Guild Leader position, then she would agree to the request without asking for anything. But an honorary elder was different.
In a sense, Carn was doing him a favor by ensuring no one would suspect Cool Wind was the Guild Leader.
"What do you want?" Xu Feng scratched his head and asked. To be fair, he didn't have anything that could satisfy the current Carn.
Her equipnt was already top-notch and cost a ton to purchase from Fiona Forgefire. As for the utilities, she was given the best of the best from the warehouse as well.
Grinding resources were also out of the question, given she had full access to it anyway.
She wouldn't request for money either. After all, with the town being a secret, Carn knew how much gold coins were required to be dumped on it for developnt.
"Co on, are you still trying to hide from ?" Carn smirked and proceeded to open her interface. She then began to type sothing and sent it to him.
Lunar Wraith: I've learned sothing about the deal you made with the Cyclone Guild. Her na was Flora or Floral Witch.
As soon as Xu Feng read the ssage, he was taken aback.
'How did she learn of the news?' He had the news concealed and didn't ntion much of it. Although Carn knew he had gone to the Sky Wind Empire, the exact details weren't revealed.
When Carn noticed his silence, she smirked and continued to type a bit more.
Lunar Wraith: Don't underestimate my network, my dearest Guild Leader. I want in.
Cool Wind: Why? You usually aren't interested in the guild matter and it's not sothing helpful to you either.
It wasn't that Xu Feng didn't want to bring her along, but it honestly wasn't that beneficial to her. The Hall of Resonance was just a boring and tedious trial to obtain so Hidden Class Tokens.
For Carn who had the Voidmancer hidden class, everything else was worthless in her eyes.
Lunar Wraith: My voidlings need to be evolved, Guild Leader. To evolve, I need them to absorb many enemy's souls. The Hall of Resonance is a perfect place for .
Astonished, Xu Feng nearly stumbled to the ground when he finished reading the ssage.
'No wonder she's always so powerful. That was the reason?' Xu Feng only had a basic gist of understanding of Carn's Voidmancer power. As for the actual core secret, he never got to know them due to the difference between them in the past tiline.
"Did you just discover this or you knew it a long ti ago?" Xu Feng could barely control his hand to type properly so he instead asked directly.
anwhile, Carn rolled her eyes and gazed at him as if he was a buffoon.
"I only just discovered it." She responded.
