Chapter 767: Miserable Sight
The calculation and preparation Xu Feng made were completely off.
He had failed to include the possibility of a crazy being like the rged Colossus to exist.
It was as if the Divine World System had enough of him constantly being in the lead and doing everything smoothly.
Had it not been for the appearance of the rged Colossus, then the battle would be way easier for him to deal with.
Alas, it seed pretty evident that the system sought after balance and fairness.
With the rged Colossus' heavy resistance to his weakened potions, Xu Feng knew the battle couldn't be prolonged for much.
'My cooldown is still going to take about 3 minutes.' He furrowed his brows.
Based on his calculation from the rged Colossus' attack so far. He determined their offensive attack cooldown to be 2 minutes.
In other words, the ti for him to defend was actually longer than the ti it required for the rged Colossus to strike. Even if he tried to be frugal with his spell, there was a limit to how much he could do.
While his condition was at its worst, the rged Colossus on the other hand, seed to be relishing in his plight.
Although it didn't say any words, their expression and attitude clearly resembled that of a taunt and sneer.
"I see you're getting arrogant now huh." Xu Feng comnted. If it wasn't for the fact that he worried for the players around him, then he would have nuked the Colossus already.
However, he couldn't because once he tried to use it, then the battlefield would quickly turn against them. Not to ntion, he would be completely expended and unable to command the rest.
Without a doubt, once the crisis was over, there were bound to be so people who wished to take control.
While Xu Feng was pondering over the situation, the rged Colossus seed displeased with his words.
It started charging up an attack, but instead of targeting him, they started to shift their attention to the other side.
"..."
Speechless, Xu Feng wanted to shout 'shaless' at the rged Colossus.
The rged Colossus realized that he cared more about the other players on their respective sides and would never truly fight him head-on. To prevent that, it decided to force his hand to confront him directly. Otherwise, he should risk losing all his allies.
"This is really despicable." He clicked his tongue and uttered. After all, this kind of strategy was sothing he would have done in a heartbeat.
Without hesitation, Xu Feng kicked the ground softly and propelled himself toward the rged Colossus.
Afterward, he channeled the power of Origin once again, completely exhausting his reserves.
Origin Skill and Regular Skill are operated in different sections. Origin Skill required Origin to be activated whereas Regular Skill required mana.
Against a boss at this level, his regular skills were worthless. None of the attacks within the regular skills could even deal with more than 1%. In fact, they would probably deal around 0.10%.
As he approached the rged Colossus through the air, the latter grinned nacingly. It smirked and redirected its charged attack toward Xu Feng.
"You really are an annoying piece of rock!" Shouted Xu Feng, who gritted his teeth and retrieved an old ragged scroll.
He was saving this particular scroll for the real danger and it was one of his trump cards. However, with the situation deteriorating rapidly, he had no choice but to sacrifice one of his trump cards.
He tried to limit test himself and avoid using it. 'Now I'm losing money just by burning it.'
Just when he was about to activate the scroll, a voice suddenly echoed.
"Aiyah, I never knew there would be a day I could witness the miserable sight of our dearest honorable elder."
Astonished, Xu Feng quickly composed his emotion as he recognized who the voice belonged to.
"Why are you here?" He questioned, not even bothered trying to search for the source.
As a Voidmancer who controlled and dominated the void, Carn could easily appear in any legal space. This was the most dangerous elent and fearso ability of a Voidmancer.
Not only could Carn easily escape unscathed, but she could also appear in front of you in the blink of an eye. The only way to counter it was to either have a stun-lock skill or a formation that prevented any teleportation or traversal skills.
"Honorary Elder's question is wrong." Sure enough, the space between him and the rged Colossus had a portal appearing.
From within the portal, Carn erged and flashed her signature devilish smile.
"The question should have been 'why were you late to rescue my pitiful state', don't you think?" She teased.
"..."
Xu Feng was rendered speechless by her extre casualness. The battlefield was still raging on, with countless players dying left and right. But here we have a demoness who seed completely detached from the player's predicants.
The worst part of it was that Xu Feng realized it really wasn't that surprising.
'In the past tiline, Carn didn't even bother to contribute much and only rescued the cities she frequented often.' Xu Feng sighed inwardly. This was the difference between talented and hard-working.
Actually, no, that would be incorrect as well. Carn right now was not just talented, but she was also hard-working, fortunate, and extrely overpowered.
'Strongest healer? I might as well give her the title of Strongest Summoner.' Xu Feng wanted to resign and throw in the white flag.
"GROWL!"
Amidst their conversation, the rged Colossus was less than pleased that it was rudely interrupted by a newcor. It growled and screeched furiously, but its action only offended Carn.
"Oh shut up and scram to the side. The adults are talking!" Carn rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers.
Instantly, the rged Colossus was restrained by purplish thorns and stumbled to the ground.
However, that was rely the start of her attack.
A new portal appeared in the scene—this ti the size was far larger than anything.
"Go, my lovely pets. Entertain this rude child and give it a little bashing." Carn instructed.
